The original church doors and windows are really pretty and make for a nice ambiance inside. Items for sale range from old glass medicine bottles and candlesticks to some furniture and paintings. There's older (vintage) items and modern produced items available. You'll see the typical goat soaps and salsas mixed in with old items. Prices are fairly high, but that's to be expected at a place that takes time to organize and display items so nicely. The overall design/feel is a copy of many other small town "vintage" shops, but this one is bigger and was built out by someone that has more money than the the people that own the smaller versions you'll find scattered in small towns across the US. My thought is that you really won't find anything worth buying. You'll likely find yourself trying to justify a purchase that you can get cheaper elsewhere. If you're looking for typical "vintage" stuff, you'll find it for way less $ at a resale shop, but you'll have to dig around a bit and will need to clean it up. Worth it for the savings and mystery, in my opinion. I don't know if this store will last, but it sure does look nice.

This is a great spot if you're in the mood to shop or just meander. With vendors upon vendors, it's almost as if you're shopping at a bunch of mini stores. Handmade items, vintage goods, collectables to items you didn't even know existed. I've been to quite a few of these consignment type stores and I was very impressed at how organized and clean this market was. They even have a cute area in the back with free coffee, little snack samples and a place to rest your feet. The prices range from vendor to vendor but overall seemed pretty reasonable. I was impressed they have essentially a whole jewelry store in here where you can not only purchase jewelry but they repair items as well and were very informative. The space is a large warehouse-type of building with its own large parking lot making it very easily accessible.

There was also a jewelry counter towards the middle of the store and what looked like maybe a coffee stand at the back. Bathrooms were located at the back of the bathroom. The vendors/staff were friendly, talkative, and eager to help us gather Royal Haeger. Some vendors had very reasonable prices while others were very expensive. They wrapped and boxed our items - sadly one of our purchased pieces didn't make it in the box when we left. An easy stop if you are in the area and/or if you need a gift for just about any type of event.

They are affordable and worked with me on a price in comparison to another local vendor For the same set. That said, the local vendor was very affordable as well, and a very nice lady! I apologize that I can't remember the name of the place. My furniture came quick. The guys that delivered it were clean, quick and thorough. Unfortunately, one of the pieces was damaged, so needed to be returned. The blessing in disguise was that I chose to go with a 2nd nightstand (and the mirror for the dresser) instead of the chest of drawers. It fits so much better in my room and I love that I made this decision. It fits so much better in my room and I love that I made this decision. Monier was extremely helpful in making the turnaround even quicker than it could've been.... transition happened within a couple of days. I would highly recommend this place!

The moment you step inside, you're wrapped in a moody, gothic atmosphere that feels less like a store and more like a place to linger -- to explore, to wonder, to feel. The collection is a haunting blend of morbid mementos, scientific oddities, and dark, beautifully crafted pieces that pull you in and refuse to let go. Every shelf holds something fascinating. Every detail feels intentional. What makes it even more special is that the owner creates most of the pieces. There's soul in the work -- and it shows. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate, they make the space feel personal and alive. Elgin is lucky to have a shop like this -- a little corner of the strange and the beautiful. I sort of knew about this shop after attending a play down the street several weeks ago. However, the time of the play and the hours of this store did not match that day. Interesting, strange, one of a kind items are here. If you visit, be sure to look up! I did have to buy an Edgar Allen Poe pill box before leaving. I was the only person in the shop and I would have stayed longer but I couldn't stand the music any longer. Perhaps I will visit again with my Paranormal friends.
