Wiley read my intake carefully and listened attentively in consults and meetings. He was very culturally sensitive with gender non-conforming needs. His touch is sure and comforting. The acupuncture and massage treatment both had immediate strong effects. Dr Huey, I want to play that relaxing music for my students! read more

I thought it was time for an update since my original review back in 2017. I initially found Wylie from pure desperation with extreme tightness and PAIN in my shoulder and neck that plagued me for about 7 months and so glad I did. I was truly miserable. throughout the year, I continued weekly/bi-weekly appts/monthly with Wylie for and I have to say, I never felt better! Eventually, I stopped when my HSA ran out. And of course, that's when the tense, tight muscles came back. My immediate solution was, going back to Wylie. The private acupuncture, cupping and massage therapy is so worth it as 1) totally relaxing and 2) reduces the multiple knots that seem to always form on my shoulders and shoulder blades regardless of how much I try to roll it our with a foam rollers or massage devices. I had been to numerous massage therapy sessions to relieve my initial symptoms and nothing worked until I found Wylie!!! Keep in mind that the pain relief isn't immediate, however, it does feel slightly better but it also has to be consistent visits unlike the massage therapy sessions. Each visit is slightly better than the last as far as my tense muscles are concerned. I even got my husband to go for these treatments as he has a very laborious job that tends to inflame his back muscles where they become hard and extremely swollen which has him looking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame... not cute! But with the positive outcome I was having, hubby decided to give it a try and always felt better after the sessions. I always rave about Wiley to my friends who suffer from pain due to tightness, so what better way to rave than on Yelp! If you are in pain, look no further, Wiley is your go to person!!! Thanks Wiley! You're awesome at what you do!! read more

I was referred to Wylie by a dear and trusted friend when I was looking for fertility support. It's been two months now of weekly acupuncture and herbs and I can confidently say that this is just the type of healing I've been looking for! Wylie is professional, knowledgable, kind and real, and I always feel comfortable around him. The sessions are clean and relaxing, providing a much needed pause from to the day to day. So relaxing that I sometime fall asleep. Overall, Remedy Wellness is a legit place for acupuncture and herbs with a convenient online booking platform. YAS! read more

Go see Wylie at Remedy Wellness for your aches and pains! I was suffering from bad sciatic pain radiating down my leg to my ankle. Traditional approaches did not seem to help, but a few sessions with Wylie really helped ease my pinched nerve. A combination of acupuncture, massage and cupping did the trick for me. Wylie has the magic healing touch. He is super professional, easy to talk to, and a great listener. The studio boasts a clean and relaxing atmosphere. Lots of nearby easy parking too! read more

Let me preface this with the fact that rarely feel compelled to leave a review and that I was not sure if Wylie (owner) could truly help me or not. I had a sciatica going on for 3 weeks that was extremely painful, I could not sit literally and had to either stand up or be laid down. Doctors had no solutions for me aside from taking muscle relaxant and waiting it out. After 3 weeks laying down in bed I was going nuts, and my wife booked an appointment with Wylie. I did 3-4 intense sessions once a week with a mix of acupuncture, cupping, electric stimulations and deep tissue massage. Those were fairly intense (in a good way, I was very sore the next day) meaning that they truly kick started my recovery. I saw noticeable improvements after the first session, and I have since now fully recovered. There is not doubt in my mind that without Wylie's help I would either still be suffering and/or would be subject to regular flare up. He was extremely professional and attentive at the same time, and from my personal experience the results speak for themselves. Next time, I will skip the doctors and will be calling him right away. read more

This review is for their Thursday yoga classes as I have not used the acupuncture services. I am really glad that I found this class because it's right down the street and I needed to return to a regular yoga practice. The space is quite small, it fits about 3 to 4 students comfortably, so it's good for folks who would like a smaller, more attentive class. Christopher, the teacher, makes a lot of adjustments throughout the class, which I find helpful. I would say the pace of the class is for beginning to intermediate levels, it's not too intensive but also not slow. You definitely can get a good flow going. I'm returning to yoga after a couple years off and am enjoying it. I sleep better on the nights I do the class and feel more balanced over all to have yoga as part of my week again. The price is reasonable as well - $12 if you email them 24 hours in advance, or $14 at the door. read more

Hey queer bio-parents! Here's the plan: 1) Go to Remedy. 2) Enjoy your time with a health care practitioner who doesn't assume you're straight. And actually gets it when you talk about your partner, your sperm donor, your in-laws who are maybe not supportive, etc. 3) Have a healthy pregnancy and birth. 4) Snuggle your nice plump baby. (小胖!) That's how it worked for me, anyway. Wylie was kind, warm, gentle, super knowledgeable about fertility, good at problem-solving as my various pregnancy discomforts came up, and gracious even when I sassed him. He also took good care of my mom for some pain she was having. The studio feels like a cozy little boat floating on the ocean sounds of Park Boulevard traffic. Really a special place, and I recommend it to everyone I know who is trying to get (or stay) pregnant. read more

Wiley has a warm and calming presence and so does his space. I was really excited to find an acupuncturist so close to my house, under a 10 minute walk, and affordable too! Wiley is personable and considerate, he is genuinely curious about what brings you to acupuncture and listens to what your specific needs are. His touch is gentle and intuitive. I have been to other acupuncturists before and appreciate Wiley's gift. So far my sessions have been deeply relaxing and healing; I plan to continue regularly. I would definitely recommend Wiley as an acupuncturist for someone new or old to acupuncture. read more

Am very happy to have found a place to feel safe and get the kind of attention needed. Was alway knowledgable of acupunture and it's benefits, but never took it up. Until about 3 months ago when I walked into Remedy. They offer a clean studio with a relaxing atmosphere along with being experienced acupuncturists their focused on your wellbeing. I've been going weekly and have seen/felt a change and focus in my health and behaviors. I highly recommend this treatment and studio. read more

Wiley at Remedy Wellness Studio is great. I felt relaxed and great overall after my first session and will be back to continue addressing my pandemic and work related stress/anxiety issues through acupuncture. I also selected the package with massage, and cupping and those treatments were tailored specific to my shoulder and lower back pain due to sitting in front of my computer all day for work. My back instantly felt better. Wiley follows all the COVID safety guidelines and provides a very comfortable, relaxing experience aimed to meet your specific needs. Highly recommend! read more

I normally don't write reviews, but my friend referred me to Wylie and I must say he has been absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend Remedy Wellness. Over the last 5 years, I've done countless chiropractic adjustments and massages to treat my herniated disks and chronic back pain. None of those treatments compare to how I felt after my 2 hour session with Wylie yesterday! Wylie truly spent a lot of time asking me about my current health status and after diagnosing the specific problematic region in my back, only then provided me with acupuncture, electrotherapy, massage and cupping. My first time doing any of these treatments, but immediately after ... I felt like a new person. Increased blood flow, improved energy, immediate pain/tension relief, and a restored sense of life. Slept like a baby at night. Thank you Wylie! read more

Wylie's practice is a gem in the concrete jungle. When I arrived we sat and spoke about my shoulder issues and he really took the time to listen. And then it came time for the treatment (acupuncture, massage, and cupping) which was amazing as he targeted and paid close attention to my pain points. I'm starting to feel some relief and can't wait to continue going back. read more

Rude, unprofessional and lacking the ability to be a compassionate human- Wylie is far from a healer. I would absolutely not recommend this business. read more

I found Remedy Wellness by searching on Google. I was visiting CA from NYC for work and was staying nearby. Wish I had made an appointment earlier! Because I definitely would've gone back for a second session during my visit. Wylie was very friendly, professional, and thorough in assessing my needs as a first time client. I had a private session which included acupuncture, massage, and cupping. He made sure to get into the knots in my back, which I really appreciated. The session lasted 2 hours. His space is open and clean with a great vibe. I also bought a personalized herb tea mixture. Days after my visit, I can still feel the positive effects of my treatment. Overall, I was really pleased with my visit and have already recommended it to my friends in the area. Take advantage of their great Winter promotion going on for private sessions! read more

Without question...AMAZING. such great relief provided by Wiley whom resolved my pinched nerve (sadly, from former massage experience). Almost immediately, I felt at ease and my physical ailment was better next day. I recommend the 2hr private session involving acupuncture w/ electro-stimulation, massage, cupping if you have a specific need. I am excited to try the Community Accupunture next! read more

Wylie is really, really good at what he does. I thoroughly have enjoyed going to Remedy Wellness. I had my first private session today (acupuncture, massage, cupping) and it was pretty much 2 hours of heaven. Wylie takes his time and makes sure he addresses your concerns. For the amount of time each appointment lasts and the pricing, Remedy Wellness should be your first stop for your acupuncture/wellness needs. read more

I have been going to Remedy Wellness Studio, Oakland, for over a year now. I usually get the whole combo, acupuncture, massage, cupping and counselling all in one. First Wylie, sit you down and assess the main issues and consult with you on what to focus on, or see if anything has changed since the last session, then a little more chat in the end which helps to come back to my senses after being face down for 90 minutes. I like these little chat sessions, shows how attentive Wylie is and understand that even though most people seek alternative health for a reason, even though it is more for prevention, problems or issues may change over time. Even though I go to him mostly for my back pain, sometimes I need more help low energy or to fight a cold. Wylie also knowledgeable and competent in herbal consult and have herbs available if I need it. I only have tried it twice, for a cold and low energy but has helped both times. The studio atmosphere relaxing, peaceful and quiet. Acupuncture with electric stimulation, followed by a skilful great massage, then finished by cupping. I always feel better and more relaxed after every session. Wylie is caring and an awesome healer, my experience has been wonderful and I would highly recommend anyone to visit. read more

His acupuncture and cupping method does not work for relieving some pain in my body but he'll be happy to give you the business. I don't know how it would work if there is no scientific evidence treatment is effectively but I tell you it does give you good sleep. I should have gotten a massage with better result. I came here about two visit and was dissatisfied with the result. The dude also keep saying emkay which is kind of irritating he does have a high pitch voice which bothers me. read more

Wiley is a wonderful healer. I've had private treatment for 6 months. In my experience he has listened and adjusted his approach based on my needs. He also provides great care for my husband. His gentle, intuitive, holistic, caring approach is appreciated.
