I started seeing Candise on a weekly basis for various symptoms related to throat discomfort, wheezing at night, phlegm, and swollen lymph nodes - all things I'd previously brought to my PCP, ENT, and allergist to rule out anything major but hadn't gotten support to actually resolve. Candise has been incredibly thorough in understanding my symptoms week to week. She's thoughtful, attentive, informative and it truly feels like she's fully present with me for the entire session. The acupuncture has helped relieve discomfort due to my original symptoms, but she's also addressed tension in my head/neck, ankle pain after a sprain, and more along the way. She's also provided herbal medicine that's been custom-tailored every week and incredibly helpful.I leave every session feeling physically more calm and at ease, and emotionally more regulated too. Some symptoms, like the nighttime wheezing, are now completely under control, and others continue to improve! On top of that, she's helped me understand so much more about my menstrual cycle and what's actually going on with my body. I can't recommend her enough!! Thank you Candise! read more

Candise is wonderful! I've been working with her as I've been moving into a new phase of life :) with some challenging health changes. I had been experiencing persistent back discomfort and related symptoms that were impacting my day-to-day well-being. Her acupuncture treatment really hit the spot and eased a lot of tension. Through her thoughtful treatments, she's helped me find real relief and ease. She is incredibly thorough, kind, and comprehensive in her approach. Each session feels tailored to what my body needs in the moment, and she always takes time to explain what she's doing and why. I deeply appreciate her ability to combine technical expertise with genuine care and attentiveness. Beyond the treatments themselves, Candise creates such a warm and supportive environment. She listens closely, is easy to talk to, and makes sure you feel comfortable throughout the process. I highly recommend her to anyone navigating symptoms that are affecting their quality of life and looking for compassionate, effective support. read more

I can't recommend Candise enough! I originally found her for general and female wellness. But, she has also been a game-changer after I overdid it with some intense exercise and was struggling with persistent foot pain and nerve sensitivity. What makes her so great is how empathetic and thorough she is. She didn't just stick a few needles in and walk away; she actually took the time to figure out exactly what was contributing to the nerve issues. She used acupuncture to release the muscles in the entire surrounding area, and the relief was almost immediate. It was like she knew exactly where the tension was hiding before I even pointed it out. Candise has become a stable in my self-care routine. Whether it's a specific injury or keeping my body in balance, she's incredibly attentive and makes the whole experience feel super relaxed. She's an active listener and possesses an incredible diagnostic eye. read more

I started working with Candise after experiencing symptoms such as brain fog, migraines, which couldn't be addressed by my pcp. I also had concerns about PCOS which runs in my family. In just a few sessions she created a care plan to improve my metabolic health. My main symptoms are now under control and continuing to improve! She combined her knowledge from TCM as well as western medicine to educate me about nutrition and excercise that is the best fit for my health goals. She is very thoughtful and kind on a personal level and her work made a big difference in my daily life! read more

Candise is an exceptional acupuncturist. I initially came to see her for a range of symptoms, including anxiety and the physical effects that come with it, as well as chronic issues with my neck, shoulders, and back. She takes great care in her intake process -- not just during the first session, but at every visit. Each time I see her, she thoughtfully assesses what needs to happen through conversation, gentle inquiry, and close attention to changes in my body. Her treatments often include a combination of needlework, massage, herbal formulas, and general insight based on how my week has been -- from muscular tension to digestion to overall mental clarity. I've worked with several acupuncturists and physical therapists over the years, and her approach is by far the most comprehensive and effective I've experienced. read more

Candise is nothing less then a gift to the world with her incredible knowledge, skill and expertise in TCM! She has supported me by transforming my perimenopause symptoms, and by helping me access a state of calm and ease in my body - which is no small feat as an anxious person and hypervigilent person after being in an abusive relationship for over 12 years. I started working with Candise about 3 months ago, and we identified my perimenopause symptoms: night sweats, inconsistent and poor sleep, and irregular periods with shortening time between cycles. Within 3 months, my night sweats have pretty much gone away, I sleep through the night most nights, and the time between my cycles has gone from ~21 days to ~28 days. Honestly feels like a miracle as I've been dealing with irregular period cycles my whole life! Working with Candise feels like the type of thoughtful, intentional, integrated healthcare I've been wanting my whole like I could go on forever about how working with Candise has been incredible. I hope you'll schedule an appointment and walk into her calming office, and get to experience her deeply thoughtful, supportive, skilled and intuitive approach. I truly has changed my life! read more

I wanted to update my review to say that I took Candise's Acupuncture for Survivors line of treatment and it was transformative. She helped me unravel the connections between the emotional trauma of domestic violence and the physical pain I was experiencing, and approach recovery from both in a more healthy, paced way. I was also having digestive issues that were more severe than acupuncture and herbs could address. I deeply fear the regular medical system after many insensitive/gaslighting/expensive experiences with it... but Candise persuaded me to confront a regular doctor with the evidence of over a year of persistent diarrhea, and see if I could finally get them to take my problems seriously. They responded by giving me a colonoscopy, and although the colonoscopy did not find any specific cause for the chronic diarrhea or pain, they DID find and remove a pre-cancerous polyp. So yeah, Candise not only gave me alternative treatment, she emotionally supported me to engage with regular treatment in a way I probably wouldn't have ordinarily. And that forwarded cancer prevention! I especially appreciate how Candise repeatedly encouraged me to face my justifiable doctor phobia in a way that was supportive and caring without being pressuring or judgmental. read more

This is my 2nd 5-star review for Candise. She supported me throughout two pregnancies, and now she's helping me through my postpartum journey. Candise's care and guidance has helped me find ease, comfort and peace in so many ways - through treatments, supplements, and wonderful advice. She's given me tips and suggestions that work for me and have helped me commit to an (almost!) daily meditation practice that I'm finding to be so supportive. I can't say enough good things about the comprehensive and thoughtful care that Candise provides. read more

Candise is a compassionate and knowledgeable practitioner. She has been a god- send for my daughter for post concussion headaches and subsequent stomach issues. She listens intently to the problem and has a whole arsenal of solutions. Needling, cupping, chinese medicine etc. She does not take insurance and she is not the cheapest - but she is worth every penny with her experience and professionalism. We have tried others and she is the best. read more

I started working with Candise a few weeks ago to address uncontrolled asthma, and I'm happy to report after about 6 weeks of sessions (so far, still have some work to do) I truly see an improvement. Candise is extremely thorough and thoughtful in her approach to your treatment plan and care. I feel like I'm more on a healing journey than just going to a practitioner to receive treatment. If that sounds appealing to you, I hands down recommend you book an initial appointment. read more

What a professional! It's really hard to come across a practitioner that doesn't just listen but hears what you say. I'm usually the one expected to ask the deep questions and listen for the nuance between the clients words, hearing what they are actually saying. When I met with Candise for our first appointment, I was delighted and relieved to be the one on the other side... for someone to listen to what I was saying but to also listen to what I wasn't. I am in an intense physically laborious job, to say the least. I have an injury in the front left hip and within 2 weeks, my pain has greatly diminished. Beyond just the service, Candise was concerned with my plan outside of the treatment to help pivot my life style so I didn't continue to injure myself. She was honest and authentic. She was gentle and helpful. She was thorough and safe. A professional like Candice is hard to find. Getting acupuncture by her is a whole experience in self care. read more

I've been seeing Candise for the last half year for support with Long Covid and frequent migraines. Working with her has helped me so much in my healing journey! I was getting weekly acupuncture and herbal formulas from her, which I tapered down to every other week after seeing major improvements. I have so many fewer migraines, and my Long Covid symptoms have improved drastically since working with her. My general health is also so much more robust because she treats holistically. I've had a good amount of acupuncture in the past from different practitioners, and Candise is probably the best one I've worked with! She has experience working with complex and chronic conditions. I find her to be warm, thoughtful, and a true healer. The rise in my quality of life I'm experiencing since we started working together is worth every single penny. I'm so grateful to have found her. read more

I've been working with Candise for two months now and I honestly can say it has been and continues to be peaceful and healing experience with her. I've worked with a couple of acupuncturists in the past for unrelated injuries but nothing comes close to my experience with her. Candise has created a healing space that feels tranquil, safe, warm and inviting. Also, finding parking at her location is pretty easy as well. I haven't had issues finding a park within a block radius. During your initial intake and follow-up care check-ins with her she doesn't make you feel rushed or that whatever you having issues related to pain management is odd. She hears you and finds away to relate to it and is committed to exploring the best treatments options that are in her scope. She loves a complex Sherlock Holmes case - I'm one of those cases. (lol) So, If you are currently looking to try some holistic care bc you've hit the wall with western meds and bureaucracy of our medical system- reach out to Candise for care! Be Well! read more

I started seeing Candise a couple months ago initially due to neck pain/tension, but my visits have evolved to address that as well as tackle other aspects as I look to optimize my health overall. My sessions with her have become an important part of my self-care routine. I appreciate her holistic and integrated view and approach to health and the way she tailors treatments - no session is the same and she has an arsenal of modalities she leverages as she adjusts to my present needs and how my body responds. I've been to numerous TCM practitioners/acupuncturists throughout my life and Candise has stood out as someone who not only has deep knowledge of the interconnectedness of our physical, mental, emotional states but also is able to articulate and inform me on both root causes and tactical solutions which I so appreciate. Thank you, Candise! read more

I'm a dentist and basically have to hold my body in natural positions for 8hrs a day. I was experiencing HORRIBLE neck pain for about 3 weeks straight that none of my usual stretches/exercises could touch. My physical therapist couldn't see me for a month and a half so I made an appointment with Candise out of desperation and curiosity (she's my first acupuncturist!). After my first appt with Candise I woke up without neck pain for the first time in weeks and was an immediate convert. She's super easy to talk to and made great recommendations on how to maintain my body. I e been to rolfers, physical therapists, chiropractorsand medical massage therapists, nobody has gotten me the immediate and laying relief quite like Candise has. Highly recommend!! read more

I was suffering from sciatica and was in acute pain. After a few visits my pain has improved significantly. I had never tried acupuncture before and didn't know what to expect. I had been dealing with sciatic nerve pain for almost a month. I had been to urgent care ( sent home with flexril) still in pain. Went to ER (sent home with steroid pills and Ibuprofen) still in pain. Had several visits to the chiropractor who helped calm the pain slightly. My sister mentioned acupuncture and highly recommended Candise. I had been in so much pain for too long , I was willing to try anything. So, I scheduled an appointment. When I say I walked in there limping from pain and my in tears because I was hoping this was it. After she completed the treatment and had me get up, I was scared and tense because I was so use to feeling pain. I was surprised to feel slight to no pain at all. That was only in one session! I was so excited , that even walking down the stairs from her office, I was able to without any pain. I could not wait to see her again! I was able to go back to work and feel so much better. I just had my second session and I can say my first visit I was at a 8 pain level and now I am at a 2 to hardly any pain . I am beyond grateful to have met Candise, I have not had this much relief in weeks and thought I would never feel better. Thank You Candise! read more

Candise is amazing! She is knowledgeable, helpful, and skilled and I've noticed some improvement since I started seeing her for acupuncture and myofascial release. I appreciate that she listens and caters each appointment to what my shoulder and neck need and can tolerate on the particular day. The process for booking appointments is simple, prices clear, and most importantly I'm able to feel the benefit of her services each time I go. read more

Candise is amazing! She's truly unique in her ability to listen and be compassionate to both your physical and emotional needs. Whereas other acupuncturists I've seen in the past will listen for a few minutes and then start needling you without much explanation, Candise takes the time to truly listen to what's going on, dig deeper, and connect the dots to better understand holistically what's going on and their root causes. She'll also explain the what and whys of her approach -- needling, cupping, herbal medicine. Ranging from both acute problems (i.e., shortness of breath, pains, illness) or longer term system improvements, she tackles it all and I always feel better after seeing Candise. read more

Before working with Candise, I was looking for a holistic solution to regulate my menstrual cycle and improve overall women's health. My cycles have been fairly irregular for the past couple of years and can be often times unpredictable. After working with Candise for the last few months, my cycle has become more regular, predicable, and the time between cycles have decreased. I was quite surprised that after a few months, she was able to help regulate the cycles in a few short months, when I had been struggling with this for years. This was the first time I had acupuncture done and was a bit nervous about it in the beginning but Candise ease those nerves and started off slow with a few needles in beginner points and letting me know the whole way that nothing should feel painful and checking in the whole way. Candise listens to your whole history before coming up with a game plan for treatment. Treatments include a combination of acupuncture and herbal supplements. The great thing about the herbal supplements is that it's easy to use and does not require prep and you can pick it up in the office. The herbs are tailored to your specific needs. I came looking to regulate my cycle but this has become a self care session. read more

I have to start by saying that I recommend Candise to anyone and everyone I know in need of pain management or struggling with digestive issues; she has been an integral part of my healing journey and I wouldn't be where I am without her. I came to Candise two years ago when I had just been diagnosed with Chron's Disease; I had lost 30 lbs and was in experiencing incredible pain. Candise created a safe and compassionate space during our first meeting and I immediately felt comfortable opening up to her about all of my health issues. Candise is an expert at many different healing modalities and over the past two years has used acupuncture, herbs, cupping and massage to help me with my disease. She helped me work with my Doctor and Naturopath and I am happy to say that two years later I am in remission and continue to see her to maintain my health. I feel so very fortunate that I found Candise and I'm certain that I would not be in the healthy state that I know am, without her. read more

Candise is amazing! I've worked with her for nearly a year to improve neck/shoulder/wrist pain related to computer use ("tech neck") and it's been hugely helpful for me. My treatments have included acupuncture and cupping, with supplemental massage. She is an *expert* and is always willing to share her knowledge to explain how and why she's working on a particular area. She's also very thoughtful and sensitive to my experience as a patient and makes sure that I'm comfortable with any needling that's needed. I trust Candise completely and always feel great after an appointment. But besides all that: Candise is a a warm, kind person who's easy to talk to! She's a great listener and really cares about her patients. I'm so grateful for her care and would recommend her to anyone! read more

I began working with Candise in early March 2022. My typical weekday involves working at a desk for multiple hours during the day and training jiu jitsu at night. This is a routine I had kept up for over a decade, which progressively resulted in constant tension in my shoulders, elbows, forearms, hips, legs, and chest. Many grapplers often dismiss injuries/soreness/pain as simply "part of the sport," which is true to some extent. However, I have personally supplemented my martial arts training and fitness activities with foam rolling, lacrosse ball rolling, and yoga, and have long believed in trigger point therapy. I took a 2-year break from jiu jitsu starting in early 2020 due to Covid-19, which alleviated some of the gradual/cumulative injuries that racked up over time. However, when I returned to jiu jitsu in February 2022, I was welcomed back with a litany of traumatic injuries, including sprains and ligament injuries in my knee, wrist, and finger. My body obviously needed to re-acclimate to the rigors of training, but I also wanted a boost beyond my personal self-care routine to heal my injuries. My wife was already treating with Candise when I found out that she offered acupuncture + myofascial release and had experience working with athletes. I already had a solid interpersonal rapport with Candise, and decided to give her a shot. I have since had a handful of sessions with her, and my body is responding really well to her treatment. My sessions have involved acupuncture and cupping at trigger points. I'd say I have above-average awareness of the trigger points (i.e. knots) in my body, which really makes me appreciate Candise's level of precision. She knows exactly where to pinpoint the correct areas to administer her treatments. Over the last month, my multiple sprains have steadily healed while I carry less tension overall in my body despite working at a desk and training jiu jitsu several times per week. This is exactly what I was looking for! I have worked with other TCM practitioners in the past, but Candise is among the best if not THE best I've worked with. I would highly recommend her for any athlete or recreational fitness enthusiast who is looking for a little help with recovery. She gets 5 well-earned stars. read more

One of the first things I said to Candise when I met her was that I chose to come here because she had a trustworthy face, and trustworthy she's been! Getting into TCM was really daunting, but I had had enough with western medicine not seeming to find the root of the health issues I was dealing with. It has definitely been way more of an interesting and holistic journey than I could have ever expected. It's been a few months of seeing Candise regularly, and it's so refreshing to have someone always in your corner with no stone left unturned to try to figure out the cause of what might be causing the issues I was dealing with. Thanks Candise, for making this journey so approachable, non-intimidating, and for helping me connect dots I never would have thought even related. Go see Candise Yang, you won't regret it! I've been seeing Candise for the last year and my monthly sessions with her have played a huge role in keeping me grounded and centered in a rollercoaster of a year. Her acupuncture, cupping and herbs have helped alleviate neck and back discomfort, skin issues, headaches, digestive issues, and better managing my stress. She's SO knowledgeable and thorough and makes you feel at ease. I leave every session feeling recharged and more zen. Highly recommend! read more

I've dealt with stiffness in my neck and back for years, characterized mostly by limited range of motion, discomfort when sitting or standing for long periods of time, and tight muscles - all of which I've come to attribute to desk work, lack of stretching, and poor posture. The discomfort is not so much disruptive or disabling in my day-to-day, but more than anything it's just annoying - like a little rock stuck in my shoe. I've tried various remedies over the years, including chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, and OMT. All provided some short term relief, but never attacked the heart of the issue: the knots and tightness deep in the muscles in my neck, traps, shoulders, chest, and back. More than anything, Candise listens to you and your needs and tailors treatment to you. After a few acupuncture appointments with her and the "homework" she's given me between appointments, I feel considerably looser in my neck and upper back. I feel like I'm on the right path of recovery and am optimistic about the rest of my treatment plan. Acupuncture itself is a satisfying process - Candise knows how to find the knots and culprits of pain, and I walk away from each appointment feeling like we attacked the heart of the issue...which is more than I can say about the past remedies I've sought. Highly recommend Candise for any muscular tightness, knots, and pain you've been dealing with! read more

Simply put, Candise's treatments WORK. I've mostly gotten acupuncture from Candise for some shoulder issues I've had, but have also received treatments from her for my back, hips, and neck, as well. I would highly recommend her for anyone experiencing pain or just long-term discomfort in any of these areas. I've had a lot of chiropractic work, massage, PT, you name it, and Candise's knowledge of anatomy and body mechanics is ON POINT. She's always game to explain what she's doing and why and how it can help me. I feel like I learn about the human body in my sessions with her! 10/10, highly recommend for her expertise, knowledge, skill, and professionalism. read more

Candise is changing my life. She is empathetic, knowledgeable, and above all an intuitive healer. During the initial consultation, she listened deeply to the holistic concerns I brought to the table. Each session is completely customized to address any short term issues along with long term healing. Her acupuncture sessions are helping me heal on a deep emotional and physical level. In-between sessions she has provided me with a custom formula of herbs and lifestyle adjustments related to women's health. I highly recommend Candise to people seeking an integral, holistic approach to health. read more

Candise is incredible. She takes the holistic approach to a whole new level, and considers all aspects and angles of being a person into account when determining treatment. I can't recommend Candise enough for those that are still feeling muscle pain / knots, no matter how great the massage therapist. Candise has the personality, care, and touch of a true healer. I sought out acupuncture in a moment of desperation after herniating my L4/L5 disc in my spine. I was in rough shape physically (muscle spasms and sciatica) and emotionally the first time I made it to her table and will forever be grateful to her for so lovingly caring for me during that time. The style of acupuncture she used to help me was targeted at releasing muscle tension and provided much-needed relief for my tense and inflamed back. Like a therapist, she also listened to me deeply and inspired me to really listen and tune into what my body was needing. I highly recommend Candise if you are looking for someone to be an ally on your wellness journey! read more

Candice is AMAZING!! I started going to Candice Yang Acupuncture for my Sciatic nerve pain that from a pain scale of 1-10 I was a 9-10 and barely could walk on stand correctly. I tried so many other ways to cure my back, I tried deep tissue massage, back decompression, physical therapy and nothing was helping until my wife recommended Candice after her great experience with her as well. After visiting Candice for about 4 sessions my sciatic pain is gone and now I have a couple more sessions with Candice but I am also working on strengthening my back to prevent it from coming back with techniques that Candice taught me. I am feeling great and ready to get back to my normal fit life style. I would highly recommend Candice to anyone if asked for recommendations on an acupuncture place. If you are considering working with Candise, please try it out. She is wonderful and provides the highest level of care. I've been working with Candise for a few months now and it has been life changing. I have long covid, which for me means very limited energy, fatigue, headaches, brain fog, hearing loss/tinnitus, Gl distress, and loss of appetite. I had a consultation phone call with Candise before deciding to book my first appointment and she answered all of my questions and thought she could help with my symptoms. After my very first appointment with her, I felt so much immediate relief that I went to the grocery store and cooked for the first time in weeks (which is a very low bar, but it was a huge deal for me)!! Every week, Candise asks me a series of detailed questions about how I'm feeling, often referring to or following up on things we've talked about in previous sessions. She is very emotionally aware and I feel listened to and understood in a way that I never have in a medical setting before. Based on our conversation, she then presses on different points on my body to identify where/how she is going to treat that day. I know it's something she is trained to do, but it is shocking how easily she finds tender or sore spots that I didn't know were there! We do acupuncture, cupping, and I get a new herbal formula from her each week tailored to the symptoms I'm currently experiencing. All of my symptoms have improved dramatically and are much more manageable now. Even symptoms I wasn't expecting to address have gotten way better-- I usually have pretty painful periods, but with the help of herbs (again, put together specifically each week based on how I'm feeling!), my periods now are almost completely painless. I didn't even know that was possible! 10 out of 5 stars from me. I could not recommend anyone more. read more

I have been working with Candise for about 4 months, and I can't recommend her enough for any ailments, particularly women's health related issues. She's not the first acupuncturist or TCM practician that I've gone to, but she's definitely the most knowledgeable, and it's clear to me that she's committed to always learning more. I've been dealing with PCOS symptoms for several years now, and in the past four months, Candise has been so committed to trying to work with me on getting to the root of the problem and finding long term solutions for some of my issues. She's warm and caring and truly listens to all of my concerns, and I feel like she is just as invested in my health and wellbeing as I am.
