To say that I have an aversion to needles would be a vast understatement. After cancer in my left arm and two C-sections, my body has seen more than a lifetime's worth of needles, blood draws and the like. Though, in my 20's, predating the needle barrage, I tried acupuncture for a year and found resounding health benefits. A recent cascade of digestive funk, low level headaches etc, inspired me to reach back out to this modality and, to Camille, who came highly recommended by a number of friends and acquaintances. I was first struck by her marked centeredness, calm poise, along with a notable, immediate, confidence that eased any of my needle angst and general hesitation. Her balanced, warm, affibility and strong professionalism made the intake process likewise comforting. I found her to be an intuitive, adept listener, which I feel is so critical and had the immediate sense that I was in capable, caring, hands. Then the needles...which were all but imperceptible!! Her fluidity and precision were shocking. So much so, that the next thing I knew, as she left the room for a moment [to let them work their magic] I sank into a deep sleep. The dim lights, super cozy sheets and soothing foot heater were lovely touches. In the end, I actually woke myself up while snoring, which while mildly embarassing, speaks to the level of relaxation she facilitated. This seems to be the theme since- deep, sound sleeps/dreams, mixed with an overall easing up of all my symptoms and, certainly, a general thankfulness for having the wisdom to brave my angst and trust the flow, quite literally. My experience with Camille was fabulous on all counts. I went to see her primarily for neck and back pain. Through her expert massage and acupuncture, when I left I had increased mobility in my neck, reduced pain, and a feeling that several muscle knots had been melted away. I LOVE my time spent at Honeycomb. Seriously, it's like a mini-oasis within a crazy hectic week. Camille is an incredible therapist that is not only warm and disarming, but also holds a vast knowledge of anatomy, Chinese Medicine, Accupuncture and massage therapy. I have never gotten massage in tandem with acupuncture and it creates an entirely different, more therapeutic effect. She's done massage before and sometimes after the treatment and my body is so much more receptive to her work. So very happy with my first session with Camille! (Yesterday Jan 14th) This was my first visit with Camille, and my first time with acupuncture. We scheduled the two hour session, which included the consultation, massage and acupuncture. Our session started off with an in depth chat about the problem areas I wanted to focus on, nutrition, even where I was feeling emotionally. We talked about habits to incorporate into my lifestyle in order to really move foreword emotionally. She is so warm, and really makes you feel at ease and comfortable. We then went into the massage, she found knots I didn't even know I had. Or, more like I knew I had, just didn't know I could get rid of. (Can she get rid of the annoying ex, too? ) from there we went into the acupuncture- this session we used the smaller gauged needles. She was able to pinpoint areas that would help (I've been having pain in my hands and forearms, that she massaged out of and later placed needles into.) also, because my time of the month is right around the corner, she was able to place needles in areas to help the inflammation. (God send). Once all the needles were placed, she left me and the needles. Lights dimmed, needles doing their thing - I absolutely was able to relax and find my zen. She later came back, hot tea and water. And I was just happy and calm. I will hopefully be back next month. I cannot wait! Oh, as far as needles go, I'm not usually a friend of needles, but wasn't scared or worried at all through my process. read more

Camille is INCREDIBLE! I wish I could give her 10 stars. I went to Camille because of neck and shoulder pain, but her intake process was so thorough that we we also discussed other issues (and their root causes) at length. I was so impressed with her genuine attentiveness and her calm demeanor. I felt totally at ease--both relaxed and cared for. The treatment itself was fantastic! She started with an incredible massage, finding all of the knots in my neck and under my shoulder blades that have been irking me for months. I was super surprised that she spent so much time manually working through my knots. After the massage, she placed the needles practically imperceptibly, working with great care and checking in with me the whole time to make sure everything was going well for me (I was practically drooling at this point). I loved that the room was warm, cozy, and really comfortable -- plus there is a heater just for your feet! Camille also gives you a call button in case you need her, which really put me at ease and allowed me to relax during the treatment. This was by far the best acupuncture treatment I have ever received. Camille's generosity with her time, her energy, and her calming presence are nothing short of remarkable. She is truly a healer! What I love about her technique is that she really takes her time to listen in, reading my pulse but also using other forms of diagnoses to get a good idea of her approach. Camille's space is such a lovely, quiet sanctuary. Her presence and confidence helped me feel comfortable with receiving acupuncture at a sensitive time. I saw her when I was pregnant, days away from my due date, and her treatment felt perfect for where I was at.
