For years prior meeting Ana, I suffered from chronic, almost painful allergies. Traditional doctors had only recommended prescription and over-the-counter medications that would only temporarily dull the symptoms, while making me feel TERRIBLE in the process. I had also developed terrible snoring over the years, which seemed to be related to the congestion caused by my allergies. Using acupuncture to treat my condition honestly seemed like it would be just an experiment, but by the end of our first appointment, I walked out of the office completely confident that it would work - and for the long-term. I left that first appointment with more than just a treatment for allergies under my belt. I also had a plan for nutrition to help my general constitution, not to mention several ideas for treating severe allergy attacks without medication. As soon as I started taking Ana's advice, my allergies came up less and less frequently, and after more treatments they eventually became completely manageable, if not almost not-existent. In the process of treating the allergies, we had discovered that my blood-pressure was also quite high ("pre-hypertension"). In response, Ana continued to work on my individual case, evolving the treatment to handle both ailments at the same time. Through a slightly different mixture of acupuncture and nutritional advice (and also some breathing exercises) my blood-pressure steadily lowered to a normal level and my allergies continued to be manageable. I have been going to Ana for acupuncture the past few months to help with pain reduction after having surgery for an achilles rupture.
