Lorenzo and his team showed up early, communicated clearly, and holy wow did they work fast. In less than 90 minutes they moved what took our team 6 hours to do. I was a little disappointed in the time it took for four movers in comparison to a three mover crew. I paid for eight hours for a four man crew and eights hours the last time for a three men crew. One of my crew members was 45 minutes late. Apparently there was a last minute call in and they had to find a replacement. When we went to the new address, two of the movers took a personal vehicle and they arrived 40 minutes after the truck arrived giving me only two movers until the others arrived. I felt we could have cut two hours from our expense had the crew been together the entire time. Nonetheless, the movers were efficient and careful with my furniture. This is a female operated and owned business. Christy is awesome and I know the matter mentioned is not this company's norm. I will definitely give them another opportunity to earn that extra star.

For the last job they did for me, I hadn't met any of the crew (including the owner, who actually showed up). They were hired to load my daughter's belongings into 4 U-Haul U-Boxes for a cross-country move. They didn't wrap or pad most of the furniture, and their work was sloppy - this resulted in damage to quite a few items. We felt that there was very little consideration or care in their overall handling in that case, and I can no longer recommend using them.

This was my third time using their service to move a 1B1B apartment. The first two times went fine…read more-- each took about 3 to 3.5 hours, and that's why I trusted them again. But this time? Total disaster. They charged me almost 8 HOURS for the exact same size move. From 9 AM to 4:45 PM -- are you kidding me? They didn't even start moving until around 9:20 or 9:30, and then moved like they were taking a casual stroll in the park. I asked them why this time was so ridiculously slow compared to the last two. Their excuse? "No elevator" at my old place and "your stuff is in small boxes and bags." That is complete nonsense. My new place has an elevator, and I used larger boxes this time to make it easier -- unlike the last move where neither location had elevators. And yet, that move only took 3.5 hours. There is no possible reason this one should take nearly EIGHT HOURS unless you're deliberately dragging your feet. And get this -- I even helped them move! I literally carried stuff myself while they moved slowly and inefficiently. When I brought this up to their supervisor, instead of acknowledging the poor service, he blamed me and said I had "too many things." Give me a break. It's a 1B1B -- and you guys have moved it twice before in half the time! I even attached a photo comparing the invoices from both moves -- one was 3.5 hours, this one nearly 8. Their supervisor had the audacity to say he'd refund me for 1 hour if I didn't leave a bad review -- that tells you everything you need to know. He knew it was shady but just wanted to shut me up. Avoid Leader Movers at all costs. They've clearly gotten lazy and greedy -- working slow just to pad the bill while pretending everything is normal. I'm furious and disappointed. Never again.

All documentation was provided on time, and the movers arrived as scheduled. I had my items moved from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, Texas in a POD. Unfortunately, my TV was damaged during the move (unclear if it was from the POD, but I doubt that since the TV was against the king size mattress). One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression. BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.
