I asked for an estimate to install a Tesla Charger, Generator Inlet, and whole home surge protector, thats all. I told them I was competitively bidding the work and this is what they gave me. BTW, I was able to get three competitive quotes for this work that were all in the $1,900 - $2,300 range, so it really was just this company being way out of line with the rest of the market. Then he tried to use scare tactics to get me to do things like spend $10k to replace all my outlets and light switches since the house was built in 2005. He also wanted me to sign a document after receiving the estimate that had not-so-fine print that removed all liability for their work if I didn't do all the upgrades they suggested, including the $10k for replace all the outlets in my house. After I reminded the estimator three times that I was competitively bidding this work and that $23k for all these unnecessary items would not be winning him the job, he pushed for the $23k option again and began telling me about their low financing options. I asked him to leave at that point. I cant imagine how many elderly people or widows are taken advantage of by these types of scare and pressure tactics.

I was quoted for another 2 fixtures, and $135-150 for 4 bulbs, without any context of CRI and light temp (Kelvin). I am happy to pay well for great service. I am not happy to pay 2-3x mark up on product that requires no labor., i.e. 4 light bulbs.

The first appointment they canceled and rescheduled. OK, no problem. Sometimes other jobs take…read morelonger, we understand that. Second appt, they made it. Came in, looked at light fixture and asked a few questions, then said that they would have to ask the Prop Manager and Home Warranty people if it's covered. 5 mins total. Tech, Travis, didn't contact the Property manager to let them know what the situation was with the light, the Prop manager reached out to me 3 days later asking if the problem was fixed. Bad communication. Third appt set for morning, somemtime between 8-12. Didn't hear anything all morning, waiting for tech to arrive. At 11:45 the Prop manager tells us that the tech IS STILL ON SCHEDULE TO ARRIVE. At 12:52, the Prop manager tells us that Swift Electric now tells him that the Tech couldn't get the part on time, and will have to reschedule. Appt set for afternoon, 12-5pm window. Tech, Travis, arrives at 14:05, at which point I tell him that we are pissed for waiting and hearing nothing on the last appt and not hearing anything about whether or not he would actually be here today either. That they lied to us about being here before, so he needs to just come and get the work done. He says, "F*** You!" then takes his ladder and walks back to his truck.

We had all kinds of problems and they had Sean dispatched the same day! We were grateful because he fixed the immediate issue and then explained what had to be done. I don't say this often but they did exactly as Sean said they would do! The new Panel is very nice compared to what we had which was original to our 1983 home. We have not had one issue since they left. I am very glad we found them. Everyone is great from Cindy who answered my husband's call to Sean who came out same day. All very professional but personalable. And the technician that came out the next day to do the major job was prompt, very polite and kept the job site to a minimum amount of disruption around the Panel and meter. I have used the Local Electrician a total of 3 times now and their customer service is always consistent. Electric work seems never to be cheap, but their prices are comparable to other electricians I have used and they are not trying to over sell me. (Just as example another company was pressing me to replace more breakers than needed to be replaced)
