Gathered all the info and went back to the office. I received a call and was quoted $1323.52. It was on the expensive side. But i was like, "Hey, at least it's being done by a professional. I accepted the quote and scheduled the installation. That was my 1st mistake. The guy they sent out knew nothing about installing cameras. To be honest, I don't think he knew much about being an electrician! Initially, this guy put the equipment up without reading the instructions. You would think that's basic 101. When I mentioned the cameras had to be programmed with my wifi router, he had to take them down. He depended on me to read the instructions. I'm like, WTF?? I'm paying you, the professionals, because I'm not technical. Long story short, cameras didn't work at all. I called FYI to schedule management and come out to analyze the issue. They sent manager "Shawn." Funny part was, this manager was just as clueless as the first technician. I showed him the technician installed one camera upside down! Other cameras had wires exposed and hanging! The owner offered to give me $900 back out of the deal. I should have received a full refund for this debaucle!! BUYERS BEWARE!! If you have HomeServe from Centerpoint. Please let them know, not to dispatch these guys out for any electrician jobs. But I will save that story for my next bad review .

Everyone I interacted with was first class - professional, attentive, fair, and knowledgeable. I replaced three AC units and had some electrical work done with them and I couldn't be more happy with their work. I'll use them from here on out. I'll provide a quick example of the type of company this is. I wanted to install Reme Halo's in my house due to my allergies and one AC company told me that because of Halo's potential impact on C19 (100% not proven) they were in very short supply but they had bought the last major shipment in Houston and would sell me them at 4x their list price. So naturally I had others look into it as well and Laredo offered to install them at cost plus labor and they were able to find them from a certified dealer. And they provided me some information on them as well. AC units and this type of work can be very expensive. Be careful out there and do your research. Trust me you will be happy you talked to Laredo.

I had Ruben (a guy with knee problem and a limp) come over to check a condo HVAC. He suggested a…read moretakedown of the entire system from the ceiling to determine if there was a Freon leak (found none, but charged me $500 without a receipt). He then proceeded to the roof (where the compressor is) and determined that the capacitor is bad (changed). He also said that there is a leak, as the Freon was empty. We had set the next day for his next visit to fill the system with Freon and add a dye (a leak detector), but did not show up after multiple calls. Got a different company for a recheck. The Freon was full, and there was a fuse removal/disconnect (in the control box next to the compressor) that was obviously done by Ruben (no one touched the system since the original installation). And guess what: the system fired up once the fuse was connected, and started cooling like a charm. In summary: Ruben obviously tampered with the power supply to make it look as if the system was dead. There was no need for take down of the coil cover to check for leaks, there was no leak, and the Freon was full. The guy is a liar and a fraud. Don't let him get close to your house. If there was an option for negative stars, I would give him - minus 10.
