I've used Reliance Development and Construction several times before and have always loved their work. They did my kitchen and den floors, and both turned out beautifully. I also had an issue in the past that they resolved, which I appreciated. However, my concern is their customer service and response time. A minor two-day repair ended up dragging on for weeks. More recently, I tried to schedule work for my bathroom and hallway floors. I reached out to the person I had been communicating with and received no response. I then scheduled an appointment through their website, received a confirmation email, but no one showed up. I called and left a message with no response. I gave it another chance and scheduled a second appointment online. Once again, no one showed up. I called several times, but no one answered, and the answering machine kept coming on. The quality of their work is good, but the lack of communication, missed appointments, and poor customer service are very frustrating. What is the purpose of offering online scheduling if no one shows up? They really need to improve their customer communication and follow-through. read more

Through an unfortunate error in their process of booking appointments they were forced to cancel 20 minutes before the appointment time because it wasn't "in our area." I understand accidents can happen, and we would not have put any review if they hadn't asked us for one through their Home Depot partnership. But they did, so we left a 2-star explaining the situation. They tried to bribe us to change the review, but we declined because while the individual that called might sell their integrity for $200 it's worth more than just money to us. Since then, they have been harassing us, finding relatives' phone numbers and harassing them, threatening with starting false rumors on Nextdoor of illegal activity, and other such actions. They even gave an ultimatum that these rumors would start tomorrow if the review was still up. We have filed a police report and are in contact with the corporate office of Home Depot, so we're handling our end. But please, do yourself a favor and avoid this company. Edit: They claim to be not the company we tried working with, but that is just false (see below, kinda sad when a business that makes mistakes goes to such lengths to avoid taking responsibility) read more

I contacted Reliance for an estimate in September. The sales representative was Kevin, who is very experienced and personable. We went over the house e.g. stucco repair, painting, window replacement, etc. He reviewed in detail what would be done and when. He spent a lot of time with me explaining everything. I was very comfortable with him and what the company could do. I got another estimate, which was less than Reliable, but the sales person was not as detailed. They started within 10 days and finished on time. All work is excellent and met all expectations. Kevin also pointed out areas that should be addressed. I agree with most of the work to be done and all pricing was reasonable. I have no issues recommending this company. I also met their workers who were dedicated and specialist in their field. They were very respectable, especially with my mother who has dementia. They left the house clean. Can't say enough..... read more

Last summer I hired Reliance Development and Construction. Apparently, Derek Lopez is the new CEO. The only way I got back in touch with them is because Derek did a cell phone blast to all my neighbors asking if he can give them an estimate any work they needed. Well, as everyone knows many of my neighbors have had catastrophic damaged to their properties this winter and I guess he wants to cash in and there is no problem with that if you're honest. Last summer, I was looking forward to doing much needed renovations to my house. Things seem to go well at first. There were a few kinks but they were resolved. When doing the roof we had several problems like my sky light becoming detached from the roof. They did come and fix that. Then the rains started and I came home one evening and it was raining in my sun room on top of my exercise equipment. They did come and fix the roof that the next day. They stopped working when the rains came, however, they were only done with three quarters of the house. I had contacted them to let them know and they suddenly just ghosted me. I understand they cannot do work during the rain, however, I had not heard from them for 7 months and they were still not replying to any call or email or text. I paid them $90,000 and they have still not completed the work on my house. Not to mention damages they caused. They left a mess. There was left over construction materials all over my patio which is not completed and constructions materials on my roof as well for 7 months! I am still missing the screen door I bought that they were going to exchange for me at Home Depo. The only thing they did when they came back is pick up the excess construction materials and Kevin, their manager said they would make this right. They never came back and they are back to ghosting me. I'm so broken hearted. I was looking forward to enjoying my fully renovated beautiful house. read more

My previous review about Reliance Development and Construction wasn't the end of the story, unfortunately. About a week after posting the review, we noticed that one of our windows has a trim on top of it. We quickly realized what happened. They didn't measure the window correctly (again and again), but didn't want to pay for yet another window replacement, so they hid it by installing an incorrectly sized window and patching it at the top using an interior trim. Not only does it look terrible, the trim will soon fall off because it's not meant for exterior use. They really botched this job and were dishonest. We reached out to them asking that they replace the window with a correctly sized one. They basically ignored us. So we wrote them a formal email that we request fixing the problem or we will have to take further action. That's when we heard from their lawyer instead of from them. In the end, they refused to fix the problem. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. You'll likely lose your money and it will cause a great deal of stress. I recently had an issue where some of my cousins were playing soccer outside.... Unfortunately, one of my windows was a victim of a different kind of goal. :( A friend of mine told me about this company and gave me their contact to reach out for replacement windows. Mind you, I live in a home that is pretty old, so after a consultation, I decided to get all of my windows replaced because my frames were rotting. I would like to say this was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Now my home looks more modern just from having all my windows replaced. I'm not a window expert by any means, but to be informed on the types of windows I could have installed, while also knowing the various types of windows and which ones are most beneficial against wind/rain instances, I'm now looking forward to raising the property value of my home with other repairs/replacements. I don't usually write reviews on yelp but these guys did such great job with the stucco on my dads old house. They knocked on his door one day, probably after seeing the damage on the side of our garage, and then came back the next day to sit and talk with me about remodeling the exterior walls. We set up the appointment for the following week and 4 days later, the walls looked good as new. We're probably going to have them work on the minor roof damages, caused by the Santa Ana winds a couple years ago, hopefully this summer! Excellent business you guys. My wife set up a free estimate with these guys and we ended up meeting with Kevin. I was kind of being a jerk because I know what contractors are like: pushy and they want your business. After a while I stopped being grouchy and liked the way He was presenting his company and all the photos of past projects were what convinced me to finally let someone take care of our windows. I had been putting it off and it had sort of become a running joke with my wife and I. I'm only 60 days in with these new windows but we dig them. Quiet and keeps out the cold. That's all I wanted. As you see I don't write may reviews on Yelp although I use yelp to find professional all the time. I want to take the time to rave about RDC, I requested a quote about a year ago for external work on one of my properties, paint, roofing and possibly some windows after I saw the work they had done on one of our neighbors' home. When they were in the neighborhood in the previous week I refused to speak with them. They had done a great job on my neighbor's home and were gracious enough to take my call after I was not so nice. I am very hands on when it comes to home repairs. I only pay for the things I can't do. I look up everyone's licenses and give them a hard time about money and my time. But, not only was I happy with the quote, the work was completed on schedule, on budget and the clean up was awesome! I used them for 2 other properties last month. There are very few companies I rave about, RDC is at the top of the my list. Who knew a knock on my neighbors door could change my life. They are my go to guys now. read more

I had a terrible experience with this company these guys Dalton and Ely came out to give an estimate which made me feel really uncomfortable because they would not leave and the guys were really flirting with my wife! They tricked me with their sales tactics and They called ""their office" to get me a discount and i thought it was a good deal but after my brother came for thanksgiving he informed me that i was paying 3 times to much! So i decided to cancel the project because that is not right to come out to my house and not be straight up with me like that. Please do not trust these people they are not professional and just want your money. Sad that there are people like this during the pandemic. read more
