We awoke to a badly backed-up toilet that had leaked into our garage and car overnight and based on Yelp reviews we called JPM. They came out immediately and not only fixed the problem, but gave came up with an approach to repair more cost effectively. It's a family business and I'm happy to support and recommend them. Although I hope I don't need them soon, I would gladly call them for any repair. Augustine read more

We worked with Drake to remodel our second story which included reflooring our stairs and 2nd floor, retiling master and guest bath, redoing nursery insulation, replacing our master tub and shower, and replacing closets in three bedrooms along with other various smaller improvements. We enjoyed working with Drake who really helped us take our ideas and vision and bring them to life. Unlike other home owners, we only had a vague idea of what we wanted and Drake balanced bringing his own opinions and suggestions and trying to run with our ideas. He made it simple by bringing us lots of samples and inspiration picks and worked around our busy work schedule. Once we described the general vibe we were going for, he really understood and made it easy for us to trust his decision making. read more

They completely remodeled my kitchen and they turned out beautiful. The job came in within my budget including full 3rd design rendering . Annie, Dekel and team are very professional and great to deal with. As with any remodel, unpredictable issues arose, but Annie and Dekel worked long and hard to resolve them to my and my wife's satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend to others. Good job Green design and build ! read more

Homeowners, please be very careful with Green Design and Build, Inc. My roof project with their contractor, Gil, turned into a complete nightmare. He came out, measured my roof, asked for drawings, and confidently quoted me for 2,400 sq ft. Demo began. Then midway through the job, he suddenly claimed he "miscalculated" and that my roof was actually 1,100 sq ft larger -- and of course, I would need to pay more. A mistake that huge is not a simple oversight; it's careless and unprofessional. To make things worse, his crew damaged my garage door during demo, which he eventually replaced. On day one of demolition, my property was left with shingles and nails scattered everywhere -- extremely unsafe and sloppy. Gil also tried to guilt-trip me by saying he "lost money," that the solar subcontractor charged more because "he needed thicker brackets," and even told me, "per our contract we can only do 2,400 sq ft -- that's what our lawyers said," as if his errors were somehow my responsibility. I will say this: Gil is very responsive by text and does show up on-site. At the end, he was the one who cleaned and power washed the property. But responsiveness does NOT make up for dishonesty, poor planning, and avoidable chaos. Do yourself a favor -- avoid this company. I truly wish someone had warned me. This is my 2nd review. I don't know if there was glitch but my first one was taken down. read more

had to just say that Drake is the man! My wife and I just bought a new home that got extreme fire damage from the recent Altadena fire. We had him come out for a full roofing job and not only was he extremely knowledgeable and quick, but his team was extremely professional and did great quality work. Couldn't be happier with the price too! So much better than other offers we got. Can't wait to get our ADU done with him too! read more

Drake and his team came through for me on my floors. Amazing quality work that also finished a day earlier than planned. I hired Green Design and Build to do my bathroom. From start to finish, Drake was the best! He was efficient, had an eye for detail, and was such a professional. He went above and beyond, meeting with me at multiple showrooms to decide on tile, flooring, and our vanity. He gave excellent design ideas and totally transformed our bathroom. It no longer feels like a place to "do our business" but rather a luxury spa in our own house. His guys worked fast and delivered extremely high quality. I'm so happy! Will be reaching out to him come spring for my pool renovation! read more

I hired the company to replace the flooring in two bedrooms of my condo. Tamar was the contractor. I was a little nervous to spend the money but she guided me through with information, reassurance and efficiency. She took me to a vinyl store where I picked out the color and quality I wanted. The two workers completed the flooring, baseboards, and moving furniture in and out of both rooms in ONE day! I got work that is high quality and beautiful. The rooms feel brand new. I recommend them highly! read more

I've spent the past 7 months working with Jacob on building an ADU, and we are so happy with the results. The finished ADU turned out better than I could have imagined. After meeting with several contractors, we decided to work with Jacob, the project manager, and it was the best decision we made. From the start, Jacob stood out as the most knowledgeable. He took the time to walk us through the entire process of adding a room addition from A-to-Z, answering all our questions and addressing any concerns along the way. His expertise and attention to detail gave us confidence that we were in good hands. The project turned out even better than we had imagined. If you're looking for a contractor who knows what they're doing and truly cares about your project, Jacob is the one to call! read more

Drake was my home's savior! I wanted to get an ADU added to my property and fix a chunk of my fence that a dead tree had broken. Let's just say the fence looks like nothing had ever fallen on it and our ADU looks so nice my daughter has been begging me to move into it (she's 12) . Drake was very thorough and professional and took care of my many worries and requests both with the fence and the ADU. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, price, and quality of the work that he and his team did! I will be back when my husband agrees to redo the kitchen next read more

The roof and framing of my garage was rotting due to lack of maintenance. Isaac was the general contractor for this project. He expertly explained the damages and needed repairs. He asked for my input instead of making decisions on my behalf. He and his crew finished in a very reasonable amount of time. He even worked with my budget while accomplishing everything I needed. I'm very grateful for the service and plan on using Green Design and Build for future projects. read more

Oy is all I can say. Al used to be my main plumber. He was always a little quirky but the job was always completed and he did a decent job. Over the last couple of years he's been increasingly flaky and his work quality has slipped. The second to last time I used him he said he was going to be there at 9AM and then showed up at close to midnight and became upset when I wouldn't let him work in my house at that hour. The last time I used him he charged me $80 and did not fix my irrigation leak and honesty made it worse. I normally would not have paid him, but I honestly just wanted him off my property. Right after he left I had to call another person to fix Al's work. Quite frankly, I was never going to leave this review but recently a friend used him (against my recommendation) and he charged her $275 for a dripping faucet. When she questioned the price Al stated that the parts were expensive and upon pressing him for exact pricing she found out the parts were less than $1. All in all, I'm not sure what's up with him these days but I urge anyone to stay far away. read more

I made an appointment with this guy on a week day and had to take time off of work to get this important plumbing problem fixed. He was suppose to be at my place at 900 AM. At 1000 AM, I called him to find where he was and he didn't answer. I called again at 1030 and he acted as if he had never made an appointment with me. When I got pissed off and told him that I had taken time off of work to keep this appointment, he back peddled and told me that he had missed my appointment because another client had had an emergency that morning. This plumber failed to show up, failed to call me to reschedule or let me know he would be late and then he failed to accept responsibility for his scheduling error. Instead he blamed his irresponsibility on an emergency he had to take care of for another client. Needless to say, I ended up not using him. Professionalism and punctuality is of the upmost importance to me. If you're late all you have to do is call and keep the other person informed. If you forget an appointment, all you have to do is own up to your mistake. If you own a business, all you have to do is act professional ALL THE TIME. I do not recommend this plumber!!! read more

Best plumber ever! Quick response, reasonable price, and explained everything to me clearly. And a great guy! We discovered a gas leak near our meter. The Gas Company came out and shit off the gas, and we of course needed to get the leak fixed before it could be turned back on. I called Big Al and he made us a priority because it was a gas leak. He found the leak (buried rusted out pipe) and fixed it in no time. He also did a pressure test to make sure there were no other leaks in our system. Call JPM now! read more

Alfonso was amazing! And so affordable! I had price checked three of the area plumbers who all had reviews on Yelp that were good. Alfonso said he would come over and do an on-site estimate for FREE! And the price he quoted us was over $100 less than the other quotes I got on the phone. He came over, worked on three issues we had, and was just so nice and pleasant to deal with. All in all, a real nice man, did not try to talk us into anything, was honest, and based on my price check the most affordable one. Can't beat the free estimate too! Will definitely call him again if we need any more plumbing issues fixed! read more

The showers in my new, 70yr old house, were not draining. After several attempts to get some local plumbers to return my calls, AL was all over it. Al showed up the same day i called to make an assessment, he concluded the waste pipes were the original cast Iron needed to be replaced. I knew he wasn't lying as I had seen a section of pipe a remodeling team had removed from the kitchen and it was ~75% clogged with rust. AL removed the rest of the pipe re-plumbed it and it works great. He did all of it within a day and charged a competitive wage. I'd call him again. I want to support local business in Burbank. read more

So I just bought a home and a month later we noticed that there was water leaking from underneath the toilet base. I have no clue when it comes to plumbing so I decided to call someone. I found Al from JPM plumbing on yelp and was a lil skeptical at first. I'm always skeptical with calling anyone for the first time for help. My wife and I decided to bite the bullet and change out the old toilet as well since we don't know how old that original toilet was. Al came over in no time and went with us to home depot and told us the pros and cons of the toilets there. We ended up picking a mid range Kohler and went home to install it. Within 20 minutes he took off the old toilet and gave me all the possible problems that could have caused the leak. He thought it was just the wax ring and at worst, it could possibly be the pipe being backed up. So in a matter of minutes he installed the toilet and left in a timely fashion. Gave me a lil lesson for basic plumbing as well. He told me to monitor the toilet to see if there are any more leaks and if there are we may need to root the plumbing. I'm glad that this time the yelp reviews were spot on, and helped me find a fast and efficient plumber. read more

Al has saved the day, and night several times. when we first moved in to our rental a year ago ... LATE on a Sunday night....we discovered SEVERAL plumbing problems and neither of the two toilets worked. Our landlord is out of state, and we quickly learned that she didn't care at all about her property and was in foreclosure. all of the plumbing is bad and needs to be replaced. all of it. so, we've called him several times now because no one is going to replace it and problems keep coming up. Al basically does what he has to do to keep us safe and functional until we can move out of this money pit/neglected rental. Al works fast and is an honest, caring guy who loves his job and family (JPM are his kids initials). just today he fixed our kitchen drain and wasn't even going to take a dime because it was a super-fast job. my boyfriend made him take some money because...well...he earned it, and its the holidays -and then he gave US a holiday card! Al talks fast, its just the way he is, so be patient - he's a former boxer. He's the best and won't mess around, very smart. I appreciate him so much and he understands our situation (we aren't replacing all of the plumbing because it's not our place!) he also always makes sure to supply us with detailed receipts to give to our crazy landlord. I just hope wherever we end up/move to he can still be our plumber! read more

Called up JPM plumbing and Drain and spoke to Alonso a few months back and needed a quick fix on water pressure which turned out to be a shower head so he came over and made it happen quickly and most affordably. Recently needed to get a quote for my mothers water heater which was previously installed wrong and has been leaking some. Alonso was over in 15 minutes and assest the problem and gave us a great quote and another reassurance of how to resolve our plumbing issues. Thanks. Actually thought Alonso would remember me? He actually gets really hostile for no reason & blows you off so I'm jumping ship. read more

I'm so glad I found JPM through Yelp! Our sink was clogged early evening and I was hoping to find a plumber to come take a look at it first thing next day. I called Al (the owner) and without hesitation he said he would come take a look at it in 20 mins (since he also lived Burbank)! It was already close to 8PM when I called him, but he still made the time to come take a look at our sink. He worked on it for about 15-20 mins and got it fixed for us! He also charged us a really reasonable rate! Al is very friendly and experienced and we would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a good plumber! read more

This was my first time utilizing JPM Plumbing and Rooter and I have to say that Al (the owner) was as good as I could've possibly hoped. He was very nice and polite, friendly and personable. More importantly, with just a brief description of the problem he knew right where to go and how to fix it. He went above and beyond my expectations with the clean up afterward and also spot checking for other possible concerns which turned up no further problems. His pricing was far less than what I expected to pay considering the thorough job he performed. The day after, I found out that a couple of other local businesses swear by him and have used him for years. Al will absolutely be the first person I call whenever another plumbing issue arises. read more

We've had a recurring kitchen sink drainage issue that liquid store products could not solve. We called and Al was at our home within the hour (the day after Christmas). He was prompt, professional and personable and we'd be call him again if needed. Thanks Al read more

Thank you JPM Plumbing. I called Al with an urgent request on a Tuesday afternoon, and came within 15 minutes. We live in a condo - can be incredibly tricky. Our kitchen sink was completely backed up on both sides, and he was able to help us snake the drain and quickly help us get all the pipes reconnected and resealed in under a half hour. So far so good! He charged a very fair price even on a moment's notice, and was a pleasure to do business with. Would definitely recommend! Thanks Al :) read more

Fantastic. So prompt. JPM Came out on a Friday night at 8pm...I called at 6 30pm... with water leaking in the ceiling of the living room. This guy is amazing! He's honest, hard working, fair and friendly. He was here within the hour, examined the situation and then took care of business. He also let me know of possible problems that could arise due to old Cast Iron pipes that still exist under the house. I have hired Al a few times. He first came on a Sunday and was really fair with the price and did a great job. I thought I found my forever plumber. Next time he was nice as we initially started, and as he made a few mistakes which resulted in returning items to Home Depot he got really wacky and mean. And yes I too know about that horrible phone attitude, the other person posting is not making that up. I think you have to take a chance and see who you get. If the Good Al shows up, your good to go.Too bad he was such a nut job with me, I did a HUGE repipe out to the street and I would have loved to throw the job his way.
