Undertaking a home renovation is a daunting task. Finding a company that's respectable and that you can trust to do good work; that is your goal. I knew after our initial meeting that Level Up Contractor was the company I would trust for my renovations. The renovation process is rarely completely smooth, and there were definitely hiccups along the way, but here is an honest review of my project working with Level Up Contractor. ~Ray represents his company well. He listens to your needs/wants at the initial consultation and doesn't give unsolicited advice. His goal is to give you what you want. ~The work is professionally done. (Trust me, I inspected every corner, baseboard, installation, fixture, etc.). ~The team is responsive (in spite of the language barrier sometimes). ~They follow through with promises; keep on schedule; put in full workdays on the days that they were present. ~I moved away for a few months during the remodel but came up every day to check on the progress. A whole house remodel took approximately 4 months, which is pretty good in my opinion. ~Ray is very accommodating when asked to do something extra outside of the scope of work. ~Clients' satisfaction is top concern. Ray works hard to make sure that you are satisfied. An important note: Work on my property had begun when, almost 2 weeks into the project, the Eaton Fire happened. Work was stalled for 8 days due to the area being closed off. When my home insurance neglected to tarp my roof from the rainstorms that happened after the fire, Ray sent workers to make sure my home was tarped and protected. He helped me to get someone to repair the roof at a reasonable cost. As soon as we were allowed access to the area, Ray made sure that his team was back at work. He promised me that he would work hard to keep the project timeline. That was greatly appreciated. Was the project without issues? Of course not. But all of the positives greatly outweigh any issues that arose. I am someone who is hesitant to refer companies to friends/family/neighbors because I'm not sure they will necessarily do good work. They had turned half into a stackable laundry area and the other half into a much needed pantry. Our experience was so good then we called them back for a larger project This time they replaced the front door, cleaned and fixed up the garage, enclosed the stairway in the home, put vinyl flooring throughout the top floor including baseboards, replaced bedroom closet doors, and painted throughout the top floor and ceilings. In addition to disconnecting the drain pipe to my bath tub during their estimate to reinforce the foundation. The water damage caused by the intentional water pipe removal reporting to me that she would fix it for free if I worked with her. It caused bubbling and ruined the plastered wall and damaged the electrical which I had to replace. This was just getting an estimate. This review has been a long time coming. My wife and I starting looking for a contractor to remove the DIY'd back patio/porch in late 2020. We found Level Up in local mailers and after meeting with three or so contractors, we decided to go with Level Up. Their pricing fell in the middle of the quotes we received and we liked Ray's willingness to go over details, his friendliness, and his apparent joy for his work. He asked better questions than the other contractors and we felt he was a better listener. Our job required the removal of an old wooden deck and wooden patio cover that were clearly DIY'd. They were to be replaced with a larger alumi-wood patio cover and Trex deck. My main concern was the corner where the patio cover met the roof as we have had leak issues previously. Ray provided us with a quote and I liked how he laid out payments per milestone of the project. This protected us and him to keep everything on the up and up. The project started and the subcontractors were nice and removed the old cover and deck. They damaged some of the roof shingles and Ray had that resolved after the patio was installed. A second crew came in and installed the patio cover. They had clearly done this before as they knew what they were doing and did it quickly. After the patio was complete, the demo crew came back and was also the deck installer. I liked their work as well. My main complaint was that Ray didn't come double check his subcontractors work. I had to do that. And unfortunately, I didn't notice a minor issue until it was too late to correct. I contacted Ray and he had someone come back and do their best to correct it, but it will be something that is there permanently now. Many months after the install was complete, we finally had some major rains. This tested my previously stated main concern of the corner where we previously had a leak. The leak was back. I contacted Ray and he had a roofer come out to look at the roofing in that corner. The roofer didn't think the issue was due to the patio cover work, but I disagreed as we had had that leak fixed prior to the patio cover and now it was back. Coincidence? Either way, Ray paid for the roof repair and now the leak is fixed. I appreciate that we had a contractor that didn't "disappear" after the work was done and did their best to resolve our issue. Isn't that a homeowner's biggest fear when hiring a contractor? I hope this review is helpful to those looking to do business with Level Up. Ray clearly takes his business seriously and takes pride in his work. While our project wasn't perfect, I still gladly give it 4 stars out of 5 and would use Level Up again. read more

Our first contact was a phone message to Level Up Contractors, Inc. Minutes later they called back and set an appointment time to discuss our request for an estimate. They responded to my estimate request to build a shared block wall with my neighbor. We had interviewed several other companies and the Level Up pricing was fair and reasonable. The team at Level Up provided a detailed list of the proposed work, with the quote delivered in person, the very next day. We accepted the proposal, scheduled the work and three days later the Level Up crew arrived to start the demolition. They had worked with the city to get the proper permits and handled all the paperwork needed. Most important, the Level Up team were able to handle our special needs. We wanted to retain an older existing tile floor adjacent to the new wall being built. It would have to be carefully removed to able to build the block wall and then be replaced. Other companies said it was not possible. Level Up said that they could do it. They did an excellent job. They removed the old tiles and then reinstalled the old tiles and it looks new again. They also dug up troublesome trees and handled the excavating and debris removal. Two neighbors building one block wall often adds another difficulty factor for most builders, but at Level Up they all worked as a well-coordinated and experienced team. They crew were courteous and professional. They were always in contact with me from the time I requested the quote until the completion of the job. It is amazing how great the finished new block wall looks. We are very happy with our new 102 foot block wall built by Level Up Contactors, Inc.
