The remodeling involved installing new windows, adding an HVAC system (my old house had none), installing insulation in the attic, replacing the conventional water heater with a tankless water heater, adding a new back exterior door with a window that opens and a security screen door, electrical rewiring throughout the house, widening doorway openings, remodeling both the kitchen and bathrooms, installing a new vanity and a walk-in tub, adding a closet in the hallway to replace the old shower, installing hardwood floors, installing ceiling lights, painting the interior, and other work. I am extremely satisfied that I used Everlast Home Builders to remodel my home. Everlast's cost for remodeling was very reasonable and competitive, particularly during these inflationary times. Unlike other construction proposals, I found Everlast's construction project documents to be very detailed and specific so the homeowner knows exactly what work and materials the contractor will be responsible for and what items the customer will have to provide during the remodeling project with payment schedule at different phases of this remodeling. Ari Malka, the founder and CEO, is extremely knowledgeable in home construction and takes the time to communicate thoroughly with the homeowner. Ari promptly replies to my questions and concerns, and offers suggestions or options on issues throughout the remodeling process. After about 4 months of remodeling, the project was completed on time. I highly recommend using Everlast Home Builders for your home remodeling or new construction projects. Not only is Ari excellent as a general contractor & project manager, but more importantly, his company performs high quality construction work. He has a great foreman (Genaro) who directs the tasks of others and is a very skilled tradesperson. Ari employs other key workers (not day or contract workers) who are exceptional in performing the core remodeling tasks such as demolishing, framing, plumbing, drywalling, constructing or installing items, installing & grouting floor and wall tiles, painting, installing appliances, etc. Ari also uses quality specialty trades for HVAC, electrical re-wiring, making and installing kitchen cabinets, and installing hardwood floors. Friends of ours with similar or even smaller projects complain about their contractors taking much longer than promised and being ghosted for days by their project managers. The project was done on time and within the quoted budget, despite several unexpected complications along the way, including the age of the house and the fact that the crew had to work around us so that we could stay in the house for most of the project.

Mike from MNM delivered everything he promised. I will say there were a few bumps along the road to get there however the end result was perfect and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend MNM to complete your project and would use them again if/when the opportunity presents itself. A few things to keep in mind: 1. Make sure you understand the contract and what is included and NOT included. This led to many frustrating conversations between us as nobody likes a surprise. 2. If you have never worked in the construction industry, hire a project manager to help navigate thru all of the challenges you will have to work thru. Because I had project management experience I did not hire a PM, however this made for a few days of frustration. Keeping in mind Mike listened to me and we worked thru ever circumstance, fairly and equitably to both parties I would say. 3. Have regular check ins with the team. By straying in daily contact with the team helped keep the project moving, I believe. 4. If something does not seem right call and talk it out. After speaking with Mike daily (if needed) he would understand what my concerns were and would do all he could to keep us all on the same page. Juan and the installation team required direction occasionally and we would often not agree, but when I would call Mike and he would work it out each time. So to sum the whole experience up I would say this. Construction is not a easy task to do, however MNM delivered. The entire project took about 8 months of construction to complete. This was a bit longer then expected, however I was not a easy client and made sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. MNM had everting needed to complete my project with architects, structural and office staff to pull the permits and schedule inspections. Having just 1 phone # to call to have everything completed was perfect for me. MNM did it all which made the overall experience perfect for me. We got to know Sam from when he did my parents' home remodel, followed by my grandpa's remodel…read more When it was time to do extensive remodeling to our new home, guess who we called? We purchased a fixer and needed new electrical, plumbing, flooring, lighting, windows, closets/shelving, and all new bathrooms. The bid we received was fair and detailed. While the construction took longer than we expected, we started this process in the middle of covid and we put in numerous change orders, including new stucco, updating the fireplace, opening up a wall, and installing sheer walls. We really enjoyed working with Octavio (one of the foremen) and Ramon (who was the electrician on our job. He was very efficient and did great work). The cabinet and vanities were done with great workmanship as well. No construction job is without it's hiccups, including timing, supply chain issues, labor issues, installation issues, etc...but know that if there is EVER an issue, you can contact Sam and he will fix it/make it right. Not only is Sam responsive, he also gives very honest opinions and shares good ideas if he has them. He had some really good ideas for the extra countertop material we had and he was the one who suggested taking out a wall so our living area would be more open concept, and we are SO glad we listened to his suggestions!
