Based on good yelp reviews we hired Dan and crew to move my family. I'll start with the positives: They showed up on time. The guys were clean and friendly. Job was finished early. However, there were a number of problems: Dishonest billing: Like other posts complaining about the billing, we had a very poor experience when it came time to pay. We had requested and recieved a quote based on an hourly rate + a list of all the extra charges, in addition to the 'not to exceed' price. We did not move several large items so the job finished by 4pm and the quoted 'hourly + extras' price was more than $400 less than the 'not to exceed price'. Dan first said the 'not to exceed' price was the only one that mattered, then later went back to the houly rate but added new charges that had never been quoted before. Additionally he did not honor the 10% cash discount or the yelp discount. He was acting heated and angry and in the end I paid in full because I was worred for the safety of my property and family and decided it was not worth arguing about. One of Dan's employees commented to me "I hate this part." Additionally...I helped disassemble one large and complex item...trying to be helpful. Dan's crew moved the item, but refused to help reassemble it, saying 'since you disassembled it we don't help reassemble'. Advice - DON'T help out, it will cost you. We had been told the laundry washer/dryer would be connected at the new home, but it was not. Overall our things were moved carefully and without damage - but we later found a tabletop had been pulled off the base (screws stripped ) without notifying us. No mover is perfect but integrity matters, and I would not recommend hiring Dan and/or Reliable Delivery. This is the first negaitve review I've ever written on Yelp. read more

Reliable Delivery was great! We were moving all the way from La Mesa to Ramona. They arrived on time, packed up our boxes, and securely moved our furniture (including a large bed frame which they took apart and reassembled without trouble). More importantly, both men were quick, kind and courteous throughout. Would definitely use them again. read more

So glad to find Reliable and yelp reviews for it. Had a HORRIBLE experience with S.D. Moving LLC and don't want to repeat that experience. So *happy* to read positive comments about movers! Hooray, Reliable!!!!! read more

Moved a couple of days ago within San Diego. Great job overall. e-mail confirmation was followed by call prior to the moving day. Dan, Seth and Cody arrived on time with 2 trucks based on estimated items to be moved. We had most of the stuff packed in boxes. Didn't need to move appliances. They did a great job to disassemble beds and sofa sets. Took care when moving them out through the front door for scratches and same when moving them into the new home. Completed the work in the original estimated time and gave a 10% discount due to yelp. Additional charges for fuel and moving time were mentioned but not added to original estimate. Highly recommend. read more

Used Reliable Delivery for two moves last month - one locally and one to Palm Springs. From providing me the initial estimate and booking the moves with Jason to the moving and unloading the experience was stress free. Both moving teams were amazing - punctual, professional, and took great care of our furniture and art. I would highly recommend Reliable Delivery to anyone looking for a move big or small! read more

Great choice for moving! Jon, Nate and Seth were fantastic. Here are a list of the things they did that made my husband and I go: "wow, glad we decided to use them." 1. They called ahead of time before they showed up. They called when they said they were going to call and showed up when they said they were going to show up. 2. They spent the right amount of time socializing with us and introducing themselves, then they got straight to work. 3. They have a system and when you're paying someone hourly, it's important that they're NOT wasting your time. They moved quickly and efficiently. 4. They were respectful of our belongings. Wrapped it all well, taped and protected what was needed. 5. They were already high on my approval list and then this knocked it up a few notches: we were moving into a condo- that means lots of hoops to jump through and precautions that seemed ridiculous. Jon, Nate and Seth were ultra sensitive to that fact and were so careful when moving our items within our building. They used great communication and were able to rely on each other so as not to run into anything that would cost us money. 6. The last item to be moved in was our massive couch that, when it approached our front door looked like we were selling it. They tried so hard to get it in. Every corner pivoting, tilting, backwards and forwards moves just didn't work. They were so determined, even after 15 minutes of contemplation (this is when I would've said it's not happening, so sorry). They flipped it once more and pivoted 1 cm. at a time and it went in!! It should've been the episode of Friends really. . . "pivot!" We're so thankful for their service and recommend them to any and everyone. P.S. you should also know that my husband and I have high standards of service, they exceeded it. read more

Look no further - this company is THE best! I've moved 7 times in the last 12 years and have never had the service that Reliable Delivery offers! From the first call with Josh at the office, to the last box delivered - this team is absolutely hands down the best! I had a challenging situation with having to be moved out of our rental, into our newly purchased home, and as time sensitive my deadlines were, they were so cooperative, helpful and patient. All of my items were wrapped, carefully moved and arranged in the new home perfectly! Not a bump or scratch anywhere. I had 5 of the best movers show up on time, and worked like like a well oiled machine all day! Everyone on of them were friendly, professional, and absolutely the best ever! Just call them - you won't be sorry!! read more

These guys are great - they came recommended from not one but two friends and were everything they were hyped up to be. On time, very courteous, professional and their prices are totally reasonable. read more

The guys at Reliable Delivery are phenomenal. I scheduled my reservation online about a month in advance and followed up a week before the move to make sure everything was still in order. Both times I got very prompt responses to my emails. On moving day the guys were at my gate a few minutes before 8am and in my apartment moving stuff out by 8am! I was very impressed with their punctuality. They were also very friendly and got the job done fast and efficient. All my furniture arrived at the new apartment in the same condition that it left in and they took care in not banging into door frames and walls. Just for reference, they moved me out of a 1 bedroom in Mission Valley and into another apartment in Carlsbad....everything (including drive time) was completed in 3 hours! And with the cash discount (10%), the total was UNDER $300! read more

This is the 2nd time I've used Reliable Delivery. The movers are very personable, punctual and true to the name of the company "reliable". They were very helpful and are very good at delivering your things withought damage. I will never move myself again. I would have no qualms recommending this company to friends and family. read more

Daniel & Nate had excellent communication, arrived on time and presentably, courteous, efficient and consciously careful. I will always opt to use them over any other delivery service. I'm adding them to my phone contacts. read more

Very impressed! We moved locally and hired Reliable Delivery to move primarily our furniture. They padded and wrapped all the pieces and very efficiently and quickly moved us from our apartment to our new home. It was especially great that the pieces were padded as our apartment complex had forgotten to pad the elevators and we didn't risk scratching any of our rented floors. Their rates are reasonable and Thomas, Kevin and Ernesto are all pros at what they do. Highly recommend and would hire again! Josh was super responsive with the bidding process and thorough in his answers -- this and the fact a friend recommended encouraged us to go with Reliable Delivery. read more

Great company to work with. They were the only company out of 12 or so to agree to a 1 hour minimum, seeing as I only had one large piece of furniture to move. They were early on the pickup, and quick on the delivery. Price was cheaper than quoted, too. Took time to wrap my furniture well, and covered/wrapped corners of my walls just in case they bumped into anything. Both movers were friendly and courteous. Will recommend, and use again in the future. read more

Just used Reliable Delivery again. Again, I'm 100% satisfied. These guys are professional movers. No gimmicks no games no worries. If you are looking at other moving companies you are setting yourself up for disappointment. I travel quite frequently for business and need storage. Reliable Delivery also has a storage option. Perfect! Look no further read more

Thanks to Dan and his team of supermovers! They showed up promptly at 8am, quickly inventoried and planned the day and move order by room, advised me of the hours needed accurately but volunteered to work extra if we wished to finish in one day ( we did), quickly packed our many glass filled curios and shelves piece by piece better than the manufacturers, plastic wrapped just about everything to keep clean, had about 50 blankets and xtra boxes plus all the gear needed, and proceeded to pack and unpack our 3000 ft home incredibly efficiently with nothing getting broken or damaged! Very pleased! Already knew it was a great team and treated them to lunch since I and my back appreciated every box and move! They also disassembled and reassembled 10 shelf sets, 4 curios, 3 bedroom sets, 2 desk sets. All this with great attitude and smiles! Thank Reliable! read more

Moving day is always hectic and stressful. Dan and his wonderful crew eased my stress immediately upon their prompt arrival. Growing up military, I've been through several moves. This by far was the most professional company. They took such great care of my items wrapping each and everything in blankets and plastic wrap. They unloaded each item where I asked and removed all trash. They protected my flooring on both ends. I would recommend Reliable Movers to anyone making a move. read more

Reliable Delivery makes moving so easy. It can be such a stressful time, but Daniel and his team are so helpful and go out of their way to make moving a fun experience. They cover the corners of walls so that they don't chip the paint and wrap the items you are storing so they stay fresh, clean and safe. The team is professional, friendly, personable and careful with moving items as if they were their own. I can't recommend them to enough people! I've used them multiple of times and they always remember me, my story and what we talked about last time. They are fast, work around your schedule and extremely timely. I will never use a different moving/storage company! read more

This review is a few days late, but better late than never! I had a great experience with Derry and Gary during my move from my apartment to my mom's house on Friday. They were a tad late, but they called and explained it was because of a prior job, which was fine. They were professional and prompt with their work and very friendly! I definitely recommend this company to anybody who wants to move, and I'm going to hire them again when I move up to LA! read more

Two weeks ago I used Reliable Delivery to move across town. I was impressed by the good reviews on Yelp. I liked that there was no four hour minimum like other companies I looked into. The two movers showed up on time and for the next three hours they busted their butts. They just kept going. They were friendly and careful with my stuff. I was very happy and satisfied with the time it took for the move as well as the condition of my things. I would recommend Reliable Delivery to anyone. The only reason I am not giving Reliable Delivery five stars is because there was no previous mention of being charged double for driving time. It is not on the website, nor was I told of this when I scheduled my appointment and received a quote. read more

Great crew! Great customer service! Great job! Would use them again in a heartbeat. You can not go wrong with this company!

Reliable delivery arrived exactly on time for my small project. I just needed them to take boxes from my garage to a storage unit and move some of my furniture from one room to another and from my patio to the garage.. My moving needs were completed in 2 hours. No attempt by the two really nice (and strong!) guys to make this project last longer for more money. They were also nice enough to take my extra boxes (one less thing for me to worry about). Their help was one of the most effective and efficient services I've had in a long time. Outstanding! Will absolutely consider them in the future!! read more

I dreaded my move. I'm not someone that moves often and I was in my condo for 23 years. I woke up with dread the morning of the move. But that changed when 4 men from Reliable Delivery came promptly to my door at 8 a.m. They treated me with respect. I told them that my husband with blind and they treated him so well. They couldn't do enough for us. They are the company that goes the extra mile. It was about 95 degrees out and very humid and then did everything with a smile and just couldn't do enough. They are well named and I would recommend them to everyone I know. I don't think I could ever thank them enough for that day and for putting my dread to rest. read more

This is the second time I've used Reliable Delivery, in addition to a friend of mine using them per my recommendation as well. Reliable has been an extremely efficient and wonderful company each and every time. The move was completed within 3 hours AND they had the best price for the move as well. The guys were on time, courteous, careful, wrapped all my furniture exceptionally, and did a wonderful job. A+ company for sure!! read more

If you're looking for a first-class, yet reasonable mover, look no more because Reliable is five-stars all the way. From my first email requesting a quote to the million questions I needed answered, Office Manger Josh's kind and professional manner assured me that we'd chosen the right company. Our moving team of Gary, Luke and Ryan were truly a dream team. They arrived promptly, wrapped and loaded our wares meticulously, and completed the entire move in record time. Most significant was actually not their experience and professionalism, but their courtesy and gracious demeanor; these three muscle men exemplify customer service at its finest. Reliable came highly recommended by a friend who sets the bar high, but they exceeded our expectations in every way. Moving is stressful enough, do yourself a favor and choose Reliable to relieve much of your angst. read more

I purposely open this account to praise SD Reliable Delivery. Having to leave the country 3 days before the scheduled moving and storing date, and with final exams going on and everything, we were really worried that something would go wrong. But no! SD Reliable Delivery did an incredible job in making the whole process efficient. They arrived RIGHT ON TIME, treated our stuff with extreme care, and helped us move everything to their truck in less than 20 minutes. Some of our boxes were quite heavy (I personally couldn't lift them myself), but they still managed to put a smile on their faces the whole time. The truck is also clean and organized. Customer service is also exceptional. Daniel replies to our emails within 1 day with clear and well thought answers. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend them. read more

I needed movers to help me move some furniture out of my home prior to it being listed for sale. I saw that Reliable Delivery had great Yelp reviews, so I gave them a call. I was beyond happy and completely amazed at what a professional and careful job they did moving my items. The movers were friendly, fast, and treated my table and other items like they were works of art. A month later, when escrow was closing on my home (and I was in another state), I called Reliable again, and trusted them to move everything that remained in my home to a nearby storage unit. I was not disappointed. Joshua, the representative who coordinated everything, was flexible, super nice, returned emails, and went the extra distance to make sure both my moves went well. The movers, Collin, Kevin, and George, were punctual and again took great care bubble-wrapping, boxing/taping, and transporting my stuff for storage. Collin provided updates throughout the move. I HIGHLY recommend Reliable Delivery! read more

I have nothing but praise for Reliable Delivery. They've done two moves for us, plus two for my mother-in-law. They are always fast, efficient, and polite. They even made an exception for my mother-in-law, and unpacked everything for her. One of the guys helped me make her bed, which is going above and beyond! I highly recommend this company. read more

This was a great moving company to work with! I had to move two kids completely in under two weeks (just a tad stressful); one was local with just U-Haul but the other required a moving company. Josh was so friendly and helpful in the office explaining everything and getting everything set up. On the day of the move we were fortunate to have Collin and Thomas handle our move and they were amazing! Friendly, fast, and super professional! They took exceptional care with all of our furniture and possessions. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for movers and will be recommending them to my daughter's friends who will be graduating within this next year. Thank you Reliable!!! read more

Only reason I gave them a 4 is because of the 4pm overtime rule. 1st off, the guys who moved us were awesome. I had a 3 story townhome and moved into a 2 story home and the never stopped moving the whole time. My only concern was when I had a choice of 8am or 1pm. I wanted 8am on a certain day, but, it wasn't available, so I said 1 pm would be fine. Well, had I known that anything after 4pm is at 1.5 x hourly rate, I obviously, would have choose 8am the following day. So, long story short, they call and say they are going to be an hr late, no biggie, until after they arrive and say, oh yeah, in the contract anything after 4pm is 1.5x. So, I end up with a 5 hour move and 3 of those hours are at $195 an hour!!! So, I do recommend them, but, make sure you get the early time slot and not the 1pm time slot. Again, my three guys worked their ass off and were great only 1 minor damage just from tighten down strap too tight. read more

We found Reliable Delivery when searching for a company to move a used piano to our home. They were awesome! Very easy to get scheduled right away, had reasonable pricing, and they were prompt, professional, and very careful in everything they did. I would both use and recommend them again! read more

There were literally no negatives to choosing Reliable Delivery as my moving company. I write this review without any concern or promise of future incentives because there are people struggling to move who want to find a reasonably-priced company whose formula works, and can be trusted especially when you are clear about the amount you are moving. Reliable has a dedicated office manager Joshua available to answer questions at every juncture. We did a thorough inventory over the phone so there were no surprises at either end at any time. Doing the estimate on the phone meant there was no waiting or extra steps before I could contract with the company and plan. We had heard rumors that you never want to use a company that does not estimate in person. We did both ways and the companies who estimated in person involved delays, and unclear contradicting figures between the house call and final quotes. There were no hidden fees with Reliable. Joshua the office manager was kind and even tempered. He gave me ideas going above and beyond, such as reminding me that renter's insurance often has coverage towards damage during moves if I could not afford extra insurance, and that they take extra care wrapping loved possessions with moving blankets. You can see from posted photos that they do put care into how they wrap, organize and move everything. On the day of the move, there was one person dedicated to wrapping and two doing the heavy lifting. The guys communicated well and worked like a cohesive team. The truck was so organized, danger-free and everyone was friendly and courteous. They thought, planned aloud and asked questions as they set things into place. It was the most effortless move I ever experienced and was a relief not to watch sentimental things get mistreated. They completed in just under the minimum time contracted, so the lead adjusted down the minimum mileage making costs break even and we paid exactly what we were quoted. In other words, there was no trying to round up costs. This company is fair and honest from everything they represented. Thank you Gary, Kevin, Kyle and Joshua. read more

We very unfortunately had a terrible experience with this company. After reading that they are a family owned company, have been in business for 20 years, and were told countless times that we would be in good hands throughout our move, that certainly did not prove to be true. Not only were a number of items packaged poorly (bathroom items, mixed with books, lotion bottles spilled in boxes, lamp shade misconfigured...etc etc.) there was also an antique piece that was packaged incorrectly, with very little care and thus broken in many places when the box was opened for unpacking. What was more off-putting, and quite disappointing, was the customer service and the defensiveness and rude attitude that came from the gentleman who often answered the phone in the office. It was incredibly difficult to have a conversation with him and resolve issues that should have been handled differently. For a high-end home move, and one that was quite expensive and quoted higher than other companies, I would have expected MUCH MORE out of Reliable Delivery as a company. I would not recommend using this company and would seek an alternate option for your moving endeavors. read more

BEWARE! I am very disappointed how this company managed my recent move. I was charged nearly 3x more than his original quote. It took him 10 hours to load a 1700 sq foot townhouse. He said he was 'organizing' everything so when he unloaded it would be faster. He had to get another truck and charged me another $450. I was charged $450 extra for a stair fee. At the other end of the move, he dumped everything he could in the garage. I was charged overtime @$240 an hour. The move took 20 HOURS! He put items he wanted on the side of the house in the dark. Why not in the garage or in the house I asked. Luckily, I noticed that. He closed up the truck so fast and would not open it so I could see if anything was left in it. I am missing many antiques and other specialty items. He said it was against the law to transport my wine. It was left at my old place. He said it would cost me another $475 for him to pick up everything he left at the house on some other day. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Not a company I can recommend. My last move was with BayPark. Same amount of furniture. They charged $105 an hour. It took them only 6 hours with no 'extra fees' and nothing was taken! They came with a large enough truck too! read more

I used this company years ago for a business move and based on that experience I hired them for our house move. They provided a detailed quote, called the morning of to state they were on their way and arrived a few minutes early. We took a tour of the move and then they were off...moving faster than any other moving company I've used before. They were careful to make sure that our fragile items were safe and not to damage any corners on furniture. At the new place, they made sure to put the furniture in the rooms we wanted as well as put together any furniture (beds) that had to be taken apart during the move. The team of three were always kind and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and we got everything moved faster than I had estimated. I highly recommend using them as I will again. read more
