When you charge somebody $1 per minute, can not be JUST O.k, ******** YOU REALLY GOTTA BE AMAZING ********** I came yesterday for massage, 45min-$45, 1) No timer set ( how do you know if its 45min or 40min ) ??? 0_0??? 2) the lady was sick, after 10minuts doing massage, I ask her to clean her nose! ( Why she can not understand sucha basic things ) she claim she did. 3) after 15 minuets I needed to stop her and ask her again to clean properly , she said she did and showed me the tissue, " I was like ARE YOU CRAZY WHY YOU ARE KEEP MASSAGING ME GO, WASH YOUR HANDS"! THAT WAS SO FREACKING GROSS!!!! 4) THE MASSAGE, it didn't look like she knows what she is doing ! I WOULD NEVER GO BACK.

I have been coming here to get a massage for about 2 years. I usually get a massage about once or…read moretwice a month. I suffer from chronic back pain and I'm very active. I have 3 herniated disks and one bulging disk. I swim, run, and do MMA. My back gets worn out in time and this is the place I come to feel rejuvenated. I have been coming here for about two years I have only experienced two bad massages, but that's when I was trying out different masseuses. I feel like this place is tailored for true deep tissue massages. Before coming here I have been to other locations where their deep tissue massages were extremely light compared to this location. So I would say about 70% of the masseuses here are heavy handed - which is perfect for me because of how tight my back gets. Now you can definitely find a light massage here but it's a roll of the dice in that respect. The only thing I can see that can be annoying is the language barrier. Don't come to this location with complicated requests because you will get frustrated. Point and mimic is the key. Use small english words and you can express your needs. I have a regular masseuse which already knows exactly what to do, so I leave feeling amazing!!

The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. We didn't have any cash with us, so we paid for everything by card, including the tip. The front desk was very helpful with the tip situation -- they gave us cash for the amount we had added as a tip on the card machine so we could give the cash directly to the people who gave us our massages. We put the cash in a red envelope for them. Overall, we had a great experience and really appreciated how accommodating and helpful everyone was. We would definitely come back!

I'm not a big massage person, but of the massages I've received, I think this has been the best one…read moredespite being the least fancy. And I don't want them to be fancy! I want them to keep being a simple, straightforward, unpretentious, accessible massage spot that offers killer service. They are very good at what they do. As other reviewers have noted, this is a no-frills establishment and a bit eccentric in that sense, but the prices are a steal, and everyone who works there is kind. Make sure you choose to come here with the correct expectations: You are paying less than $100 for an hour long massage. You will get an INCREDIBLE massage done by someone who is very skilled and professional! But at that amazing price, don't be greedy. You will not get a private "room" (they are separated by curtains, so you can hear everyone around you), everything is a little shabby, and the place will probably be busy and feel a bit cramped. If you consider any of that to be a dealbreaker, this place isn't for you. Which is fine, because the rest of us who like it for what it is have less appointment competition! I went here after dealing with back and shoulder pain for almost a week from sleeping in the wrong position, so I was badly in need of getting some knots fixed. The part where they use the hot stones at the end -- oh my goodness, it was incredible! (I was slightly taken aback when the masseuse straddled me since I wasn't expecting that or asked/given a heads up, but she was completely professional and seriously, the massage was amazing from start to finish.) It took a day or two for the effects to fully kick in from the massage, but once they did, all the pain I had been experiencing went away. So grateful for that! I will definitely be returning.

Decided to treat myself to a last minute massage on a Friday evening after work. Called ahead and…read morethey were super responsive. Booked a slot. Owner did share that there would be surcharges for using a card. Location is clean and accessible. Plenty of street parking. Just be aware that on Fridays from Sept- Nov the street parking is canceled for Open Streets NYC where folks dine in the street so you'll have to use the side streets. Arrived at 4:00 PM and was seen immediately. Amy my masseuse instructed me to remove all clothing( except underwear ) and lay face down on the massage table. I settled in as spa sounds and lemongrass scent helped me to relax into the ambiance of the space . She gave me a dry rub for the first 10 mins ( sheets on). She then applied her first layer of oil and with the right amount of pressure worked out my trigger points and knots in sections. She then applied a second layer of scented oil and gave a deeper level of rub. There were plenty of really painful moments but not because of her. I had been holding a lot of tension in my mid back. Over the next 30-40 mins she worked each area intentionally and then applied the hot stone and gave me a soothing rub for an additional 10 mins leading to the end of our session. I took one star away because in comparison to another establishment, the massage wasn't as complete. There were areas that were completely overlooked, such as my thigh. Also, some practices allow you to add on the foot massage for an additional price. At this location, I wasn't offered that option. If you know about reflexology, you know how important the feet are and so addressing the larger parts of the body and neglecting the feet isn't holistic. I'd probably return but design my package myself ( as much as they'd allow). Again, fairly good massage- just not complete satisfaction.

I'm not from NYC originally but $60 for minutes is unbelievable even where I'm from in LA. The rooms are only semi-private; there is a divider between the rooms (not four walls) so you can hear some chatter. But since I was one of the only clients, it was rather a relaxing experience. The room was also clean. The masseuse Tina did a great job getting alot of my knots out and also used hot stones as well. I made sure I left a good tip, as the service was so cheap. I highly recommend this place and will be back as I am a permanent resident here now.

I did not have an appointment, however, I was able to be seen within 15 minutes or so. Typically they ask you where you want them to focus or what have been aching you-- that was not done here, but I guess that was okay. There was no banter, the lady just went to work. I want to reiterate I'm very used to massages, even though it's been about two years since I did one. The lady was actually hurting-- I'm a bigger guy, I have a high pain tolerance but it was way too much. I think she saw me noticeably flinching a lot; I asked her not to be as rough. It got a little better but she applied way too much pressure. The whole massage to me was a bit unique, so of the style utilized was unfamiliar with me. I did appreciate the hot stones toward the end, though. I wanted to hold off on writing my review until I saw how I woke up or if I was going to be in pain, lol. I guess in the ends to justify the means!
