I purchased a lip tint and it was a used item. I trashed right away. Why are used lip tint being sealed and sold to customers.

Great store, a little cramped at times when there is a lot of people inside. Otherwise it has a lot of great items!

Great little Asian pharmacy. Lots of makeup, face masks, and other pharmacy products. The snack selection is great. Lots of goodies including hi chew and pocky. Very reasonable prices as well. Definitely come here!

Charged me for the wrong blind box/item

Not a huge deal but did bother me bc no one wants to be charged for the wrong item/overcharged. The boxes i bought were supposed to be 8.59 for the disney ones and i remember oh thats cheaper than usual so i grabbed 2 and i just happen to snap a pic for family, they charged me 13.59 a box on the receipt :/

This is my first time visiting the store. It has varieties Japanese high-quality products, but not crazy expensive. Take Excel eyebrow pencil as an example. I have bought $3x dollars on Amazon. However, here it is only $20-ish with taxes. To my understanding, I believe that this store is better than Chinatown's. I would highly recommend this store to all my friends.

Came here with the girlfriend since there is a new Japanese shop in town! I've been missing Japan and this is one way to get that Japan vibe and Reiwatakiya does not disappoint. They have many items that comes straight from Japan. There are some meds and mints that I was only able to get in Japan, but found them here. Not only that but they have a huge variety of makeup items if you are into it. They also have a wide variety of snacks, and I am so glad to have found Irvin's Salmon Skin snack here!! I've been searching everywhere for those. If you are around the area, definitely check them out. The staff are really nice and the store has so much Japanese items.

Awesome little Japanese beauty supply store. Great customer service, very clean and organized store, and a nice selection of cheap, mid-range, and high end products. Would love to come back here and try some of their face/body washes.

Customer service is terrible, the employees and company do not seem to watch customers to come back! I won't come back again!

I love this store and miss it so much since moving out of Boston. It's a small place, but she has…read morelots of products. The skincare products are mostly high end brands. The owner pays attention to your skincare concerns and guides you to products that would work best for you. She introduced me to Ohui and The History of Whoo and my skin feels so smooth and amazing. I'll never go back. Prices are on par with other stores and online. And as usual with Korean standards you get samples when you purchase anything.

Testers were fresh and I was able to try out most of the products on my hand while browsing. Besides skincare, they also have tools and makeup! I was shocked to see my beloved Innisfree powder amongst the shelves, along with some TonyMoly and a variety of cute lipsticks and glosses. I came here looking for a specific moisturizer, a pack of eyebrow razors, and any other fun skincare tools I could find. Unfortunately, they didn't carry the brand of skincare I was looking for, and the eyebrow razors were a bit overpriced for my taste. Not sure if the owner is still getting the shop set up or if she just got a shipment in, but there were a TON of unpacked boxes behind the counter and on the floor. It was a bit difficult to maneuver around the store, and the bottom of my coat was covered in dust from brushing up against the boxes on my way out :( Ultimately, I would suggest coming here if you want personalized recommendations (the owner is very skincare savvy) or if you want to see a product in person before purchasing. They mostly have higher end products and not many brands I use, so I probably won't be back unless I'm in need of my Korean makeup staples.

It's a little dark inside, contrasting with many of the brightly lit boutiques on Newbury Street, but the darker interior adds to the relaxing, spa-like atmosphere. Products are stocked on shelves along the walls, while the center of the store is devoted to trying the products. Every item they sell is available as a tester on the center table. The table has a sink at the end so you try products such as their cult-favorite hand washes. Customers can test products to their hearts' content. They even have towels of terrycloth rather than paper to dry your hands with. It's a nice touch that elevates the experience of trying products in a store. The music playing in the store was relaxing and further added to the tranquil atmosphere. The Aesop associate was very nice. She was very knowledgeable about the products and was able to recommend a moisturizer for me. She gave me samples when I checked out and placed my purchases in a white muslin drawstring bag that is unique to Aesop stores. She spritzed the bag a couple of times with one of Aesop's aromatherapy sprays, so I could take the Aesop experience out of the store with me. Aesop has a reputation for being very pricey, but many of the items are comparable to other high-end brands and stores. The Aesop store was a great place to take a little breather from the city while treating myself to some divine-smelling products.

Glossier on Newbury Street is a small, well designed retail space that functions as a physical…read moreextension of the brand's online presence, and it handles the transition from digital to in store better than most direct to consumer beauty companies manage. We walked into a clean, organized store with the signature pink aesthetic carried through consistently, and the scent in the air when we came in from Newbury Street was enough on its own to pull us through the door. The format here is testers only on the sales floor, with staff retrieving purchased items from the back when you are ready to buy. That setup keeps the space uncluttered and shifts the focus toward trying things rather than browsing packaged product, which suits the brand's approach to beauty and makes the in store experience feel more like a studio than a shop. We found that skin tint and concealer color matching in particular benefits from the in person format in a way that online shopping cannot replicate, and the staff are trained to assist with that process rather than just pointing at the display. The service quality is consistently one of the strong aspects of this location. The staff know the products well and approach the interaction as an actual conversation about what you are looking for rather than a push toward a purchase, a distinction that is noticeable. The store gets busy on weekends, and Newbury Street foot traffic can make the experience feel rushed during peak hours. We found that weekday visits offer a more relaxed version of the same space and more one on one time with the staff if you have specific questions. For a beauty shopping experience that bridges the gap between online and physical retail effectively, Glossier on Newbury Street is a well executed stop.

I've lived in Boston for 7 years.... this store kind of changed my life…read more 1. Alicia the Aesthetician: I went to her on accident when my regular bikini waxer had to cancel on me. I already had a facial scheduled and she agreed to fit me in for a wax beforehand. I am the most squeamish person when it comes to waxing (I used to take 2 shots before my waxes). She gave me the most pain-free wax, and I had no post-wax rash like I usually did. (I'M a redhead). I've been going for 3 years, now, and recommend her to all of my friends and clients. 2. The best facial I've ever had. Ever. I try to go as religiously as possible. I had acne from age 8 to 22. Enlarged pores and scarring galore. A few treatments with microderm and peels helped so well that I got to switch from full coverage foundation to a light powder. Cannot rave enough. Additionally, my mother HATED facials. She never felt a difference. I bought her one for Christmas and she came out AMAZED and would not stop telling her friends about it. Alicia's ability to custom tailor the facial to your skin and get you what your skin needs is 3. The product. Def try the M61 Power Glow Peels... they show results immediately.
