I love shopping at Credo when I go into Boston. The store is full of natural sunlight, a great selection of only clean beauty products, and nice salespeople who are enthusiastic about the products and concept. I'm one of those nerds who made a list of stuff i wanted to check out from their website to bring into the store. The ladies who helped me quick to help when I couldn't find something, and patiently explained to me everything from ph-balanced color-changing blush to jade facial rollers. The store is well-stocked. So many temptations! I applaud Credo for its commitment to wellness and to the environment. I like that my dollars are supporting this. Credo often runs promotions with qualifying purchases that are amazing. I qualified for the current promotion, which is a very generous bag of free products in a nice, reusable drawstring bag. As an avid Credo.com shopper, I was elated to pass by their store during my quick trip to Boston. I dragged my dad, uncle and cousin while Hayley helped me so patiently for almost an hour! She answered all of my questions, suggested products based on my skin and my specific concerns, and even offered me some samples of items I wanted to try but wasn't ready to commit to (or take in my carry on as I was heading to the airport). Still one of my fav places, and I'm glad the website has expanded as much as it has. The shop is the best if you want travel/sample sizes of things, or you need to try swatches of lipstick, foundation, and concealer. You can also bring in your empty bottles and jars and tubes and get discounts on other things you're purchasing. A great place for fragrance-free and sensitive skin makeup, soaps, shampoos/conditioners, skincare, and toiletries. The wider varieties of items are on the company website, but this story carries a lot of smaller/travel sizes so if something is pricey (and a lot of it is), you can sample it first or buy a small amount before taking the plunge. The staff here is incredibly nice and will answer all of your questions. No review will do my experience at Credo justice. I have been working in retail for 10 years, so I know a thing or two about what good customer service but this was ABOVE AND BEYOND any expectations. I would marry both Natalie and Hayley. I went in with a friend, and Natalie and Hayley catered to our needs, which were very different from one another and matched me up with the perfect skin care routine and sooo much amazing make up. We loved our stuff so much, we went back the next day to buy more. I can tel you, my face looked amazing after one day of my new regime, and my friend also looked so healthy and lovely. I was walking on Newbury Street last month and discovered this Credo Beauty store! I was so excited since I've only ever seen 'em online. The store is very nice-kept with natural sunlight pouring from their storefront window. When you first walk in, you'll see a variety of make up to your right with tons of goodies from clean beauty brands like Alima Pure, W3ll People, RMS, and Kosas. You can find everything from blushes to lipsticks here. To your left, you'll find skincare products such as lotions, sunscreens, toners, and more from brands like Herbivore Botanicals, Osea, and Indie Lee. You can snag some minis near the checkout area and even some value sets that are perfect for gifting! The layout of the store is pretty straightforward but a little narrow once you get to the skincare area. The staff are generally pretty nice! I was greeted both times I was here. During my second visit, a very nice salesperson checked in on me throughout my stay! She helped me find lip balms, sanitized products for me, and was just overall super kind. During my first visit, the cashier wasn't too friendly, but I appreciated her offering me samples with my purchases, because who doesn't love samples....!?! I prefer shopping on Credo's website, but sometimes it's nice just to be able to try things on in store. They have a pretty large selection (though these days so many stores are having dedicated sections to natural products that you can pretty much find the same stuff anywhere). I also like that they now have a fragrance section too - one of the hardest things to shop online for! They are cash free so be aware of that. One of my main downsides is how unhelpful and unfriendly their employees are. I've never really felt welcome here - and they are always SO pushy that I prefer looking around in store and purchasing from their website. read more

I am so happy that Boston finally has a clean version of Sephora here! If you're thinking of switching to more of natural and organic beauty products​ this place is your starting point! The Place It may not be as big as Sephora but the products sold here is definitely much cleaner and non-toxic than products that are sold in Sephora. I love it that you can also get a sample from each product before you actually buy the whole bottle. I think this is a very important part of​ any beauty industry since people have ​a different type of skin and reacts differently to various products and like myself, I do have sensitive​ skin The Products You can anything here from body care, skin care and makeup​ products that is non-toxic. Brands such as Osea, Juice Beauty, Pai Skincare, Ilia Beauty, Indie Lee, Han Cosmetics, Well People are just some of my favorite brands and they also sell trial size or travel size from some of the brands! I hope they'll have more of these one day because right now it is pretty limited what they have in store. They also have Korean sheet mask that is so famous on GlowRecipe.com The Staff The staffs are friendly here and they are willing to help you out finding the right product for you!​ Overall Experience I LOVE LOVE that you can get a sample of the products and that they have some trial/travel size products! The only downside is when there's no one at the shop you feel like you're being watched like a hawk (not that the people there are doing it) is just creates the pressure of buying things (not a fan). I haven't worn makeup since forced to in the early 2000's at a cousin's wedding, so had NO idea how makeup works on me when I walked into Credo. However, I'm getting married, and with the advice of my photographer, decided to at least try to see if I could handle wearing the stuff on my face. I walked into Credo with my fiancé and explained that I wanted a natural look with light makeup, though all my friends disagreed on what "light" meant. Lindsay got me what I needed and showed me how to apply the foundation /concealer, blush, lip stuff, mascara, and even eyeshadow and highlighter. She was patient, walked me through a couple color options, and gave me valuable tips on when to use a brush, versus my fingers, which products are easier to apply, and how to get it all off at the end of the day. She didn't patronize me, try to pressure me into anything, or sell me things that would give me a look bolder than I would be comfortable with. My fiancé was somewhat skeptical about makeup before we went in, but he was also impressed with how nice I looked after we were done. We decided on a foundation /concealer, mascara, blush, and sheer lip tint. The colors she selected match my skin well. I was slightly shocked at the price of makeup, but I think it is comparable to the cost you would find at a department store makeup counter. I appreciated that they reward you for recycling makeup even if it isn't theirs. Lauren helped me find a great daytime oil by Skin Owl and Lindsey and Ron helped me find a great face cleanser and night time elixir. My skin already looks and feels different! I LOVE CREDO ON NEWBURY! My coworker and I stopped in to shop the 20% off Friends & Family sale this past weekend. We both were looking for new skincare routines and were introduced to so many fantastic brands with beautiful products. The lovely and extremely knowledgeable store manager, Natalie, helped us pick out products that were perfectly suited for us. My skin has been inflamed and irritated from wearing a mask 40 hours a week and I was in search for some clean products to help my sad skin. Natalie was focused on finding the perfect product that had the most optimal ingredients for my skin. Natalie also helped me understand more about the ingredients in the products that she was recommending and how they would help my skin.
