TL/DR: Great price, great references, quick and tidy crew, and easy to work with as a female homeowner. Chris is the tree guy of choice on my street and for good reason. He recently removed a dying ash tree for me that was right next to my sunroom (lots of potential shattered glass) and leaning over my roof. Chris does maintenance cabling/trimming on a neighbor's huge bracket backyard cottonwood tree and removed two huge cottonwoods for my next door neighbor last year, so he was highly recommended. Pricing was also very manageable; of about 7 total quotes, Reinholt was among the less expensive group that was willing to remove the tree by climbing rather than with a crane. I delayed the job by about 6 months from the time I got the quotes and had some communication misses when I went to reinstate contact, but we cleared that up painlessly. Chris showed up with a crew of 4 guys. Within 90 minutes the tree was down and they'd cleaned up and moved on to the next job. Everyone was polite, mindful of the landscaping and they definitely left the area cleaner than they found it. They brought what looked like 3/4 or full inch-thick sheets of plywood to protect the windows and left no damage. They came highly recommended from a colleague. We have been looking for a while now to have our large dead cottonwood removed, stump ground out, etc. We have received many estimates, anywhere from $3000 to $1000. We were insistent that whomever we hired was insured as the tree is super close to our house. I contacted Reinholt Tree Care several months ago through their webpage, and NEVER got a response. I tried again last week, because the Yelp reviews were so good. After two days of no return contact, I emailed a second arborist, Muscle Tree and Landscaping, and within two hours I had a well-written, knowledgeable email from Jared Vandeventer confirming that he would be by later in the week to provide a quote. As far as Reinholt Tree Care goes....save yourself some time and a headache and don't even bother. But for folks in the Longmont area looking for a great arborist, check out my review of Muscle Tree and Landscape: I contacted Jared via Muscle Tree's website, and had a response from him THAT DAY. I had a quote by the end of the week. The work was done at the beginning of the very next week. I had contacted other arborists in the area and still hadn't heard back from them by the time Jared had the work DONE for me! I wasn't home when he pruned my ash tree, but my fiancé said that he had been home all day and even had the front door open due to the beautiful weather, and Jared conducted his work so quickly and quietly that my fiancé never even realized Jared had come and gone. I had Reinholt remove a large Cottonwood from next to my house, There were branches over the house, fence, and smaller trees. They removed the tree without causing any damage, got the cut-up tree hauled away, and left everything in great shape. I paid them for stump grinding also, which was done well. Chris and his team at Reinholt Tree Care are fantastic. First I had them take down a very large cottonwood tree a few years ago. I received many high quotes, but they specialize in difficult and dangerous tree removal and their price was the best for the job. They were extremely efficient, responsible and cleaned up everything so you barely knew they were there. I then had them trim a large ash tree last year. The tree looks fantasic, healthy and happy! So, finally, yesterday, I had to get the large tree stump removed from my big tree. Once again, the price was good, they were efficient and you can't even tell I ever had a humongous tree in my back yard. I only wish I had more trees so I could keep calling them to do more work.
