Cutting Edge is a top notch tree service and care company. Kit is extremely knowledgable and skilled in customer service. We had to ask her to negotiate a compromise between us and Xcel regardig trimming around power lines. Kit was a superstar negotiator and was able to secure an agreement that satidfied everybody. Very professional. The trees at our new house probably hadn't had any attention in 10 years. Cutting edge identified the trees for me, trimmed them out, braced a dangerous limb, and cut away everything that was lying on or touching the roof. Great communications too. read more

Did a great job! The owner helped me through the process and helped me save a tree. Thank you!

Never have had the need for their services, knock on wood. Although I've spoken with Kit and her team on several occasions. Kit is much more than an average owner, she truly cares about and knows a lot about caring for/ growing healthy trees. I've seen her "burn the midnight oil" at 3am, making sure the equipment is running strong. Give them a call, regardless of the friendship I've found with the CETC Crew, they exemplify being on the cutting edge & what others should strive for. read more

After being referred by our neighbors, I contacted Cutting Edge Tree Care in Lafayette, to get an estimate for the pruning of five trees. From the first contact to the completion of the job, I found the office staff and arborist to be responsive and professional. The estimate was detailed and the price very competitive. Our job had to be postponed one day from the scheduled day due to snow, but the office immediately emailed me with the schedule change, and the crew arrived the next day, earlier than estimated. Patrick and his trimming partner did a beautiful job pruning the trees, and when completed, Patrick walked around with my husband and I to explain why the trees were trimmed as they were to ensure successful future growth. I have used many tree trimming companies over the years, and I have to say the Cutting Edge is the best yet - highly professional, reasonably priced, with outstanding customer service. I highly recommend them and will use them again for all our tree maintenance needs. read more

Can't say enough good things about this business. We've had them do work for us four times in the past couple years (three in the past six weeks due to storm damage). They show up on time. They were masked. They are courteous and explain thoroughly what needs to be done and how they will do it. We've had people climbing trees (worth watching with held breath), people in buckets, people dragging limbs away. They really know what they're doing and take great care with whatever other plants or structures are underneath or nearby. And they chip, rake and blow away all of the stuff when they're done. I can't imagine a more careful or professional operation. read more

Total expertise, good people, no baloney. Found out Charley has performed tree surgery all over the world, including ancient trees in China that the government oversees. He and Kit are good-hearted, respectful. I only wish they also did plumbing and flooring, because my experience with their company exceedingly outshone other "service" providers. Cutting Edge Tree Care is the type of business you are happy to pay, and hope will become friends. Great people providing great service. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

We live out in Boulder Canyon and the drive for the trucks was a challenge on our property. We had a couple of cottonwoods that needed work and a dead aspen. We had called them before and I reviewed them but when I was looking for garage door service today, it looked like my review wasn't on yelp anymore. Our second time using them was as good as the first. Charley is super friendly and easy going. His knowledge of trees was amazing. My husband and I just decided to do whatever he said. The work was done on the day it was scheduled and the cleanup was great. Charley is this great looking guy who doesn't just talk the talk, he really follows through. His wife seemed to run the office and did everything by email. So convenient and very efficient. CALL THESE PEOPLE if you are looking for good service and a great job. read more

So impressed with these guys...Charley and his crew showed up as scheduled and made quick work of some challenging trees. These old trees were in need of some major work and Charley approached with care, professionalism, and knowledge. He is quite adept at knowing the right approach and offered many options. His crew is solid and they left the yard looking top shelf. Highly recommend that you give these guys a chance to look at your tree care needs...they will not disappoint. They will definitely be used for future tree care. read more

Kit and her team have put in a lot of time on our trees and we're glad to have their help with so many issues. They try to save a tree if they can. read more

The short story: I recommend Cutting Edge for tree removal work. My property had about 11 medium to large trees on it (way too many for a suburban lot). I needed to get 4 down and they had the best price. They were easy to work with for quoting and scheduling. The crew arrived on time and was finished in a little under 4 hours. Everything was cleaned up beautifully. I will probably work with them again in the future for my trees. read more

My parents just started working with CETC on a number of mature and new trees in their yard and couldn't be happier. They've tried two other arborists in the past couple years-- one *accidentally* cut down a mature apple tree, the other had a response time of about one month, and both seemed to prefer cutting down struggling trees rather than trying to nurse them back to health. We'd almost given up on getting our trees the care they needed, but our experience with CETC has been so refreshing. These people really care about taking care of our urban environment, and it shows! -Response time is excellent. They've responded to virtually every one of my calls/emails within a day, and were able to schedule work within a week. -They do what's best for your trees. They've recommended against almost all of the fertilizer/pesticide treatments that other arborists were happy to charge us for, and recommended against removing multiple trees that others had told us were "beyond repair". -They were happy to guide us through their work and discuss treatment theories and research at length. I tried pruning some lesser shrubs as they worked on our trees, and they even jumped in and gave me a free mini lesson! If you're looking to go through the motions and keep some healthy trees in your yard alive, you MIGHT be able to find someone a little cheaper than CETC. If you have old/sick/neglected trees, if you're interested in learning more about the fascinating science of arboriculture, or if you just genuinely care about being a steward of the land around you, you couldn't do better than Cutting Edge Tree Care. read more

Kit took my appointment quickly and fit me in at their first appointment, and Charlie did a great job securing an apricot tree in my front yard (it was nearly blown over by high winds). For the service and GREAT work done, the price was more than reasonable. read more

I wrote a review for this company by mistake. There is a company with the same name in my hometown, so I apologize to the owner for the error. read more

Charley is super honest with his opinion and is not trying to quote more than what is needed. We had a different company come in to quote for comparison. The other guys were a joke with their quote as they said we needed several more trees trimmed because they were a hazard. The point is Charley is quick, clean, and honest. You will not be disappointed! read more

After these two spring storms that we haven't lost any branches! I've look around our neighborhood and I've seen many downed branches but none on our property. CCTC have done a fantastic job of keeping our trees healthy and safe. Thanks guys! Annie and Brian D read more

Cutting Edge Tree Care has taken care of our neighbor's trees and our trees. They are now healthy, safe, and we feel good about sitting underneath them while playing our guitars. The customer service was far superior to other tree care companies I have used. I won't ever call anyone but these people again. Great family owned, local company! read more

Charlie and Kit have been taking care of my trees for two years now. They have never looked better! I really appreciate that they don't try to sell me services that I don't need and are honest with me about what can be done and what they think is the best course of action. While another service wanted me to spend hundreds to save a tree, they were honest and said it probably wouldn't help and that we would be better served to plant a new one in it's place. For another tree they did think it was worth it to deep root fertilize etc and try to save it- it's now thriving. Their honestly and consistency have made me a loyal customer. read more

We had a May snowstorm and my maple split from the weight of the snow. Kit was amazing! She immediately helped remedy the issue and was incredibly friendly, caring, and giving of her time. I am now going to be a lifelong customer and recommend Cutting Edge Tree Care with a 5 star review! read more

We have had Cutting Edge Tree Care out to our property on two occasions. I first learned of them when I saw their trucks as they were working on another property. And then found the below Yelp reviews. The first time they were out they did a tremendous amount of clearing, and pruning. We had 5 enormous Russian Olive Trees that had not been cared for in what seemed was forever. Charlie was up in the trees in no time and had them trimmed back that they are now so beautiful and create great shade for the west side of our barn. We just had Cutting Edge back out to the property today to do some work to the fruit trees on the property. While they were here they had time to prune back some lilac bushed, take down and grind an old cotton wood stump and other things that would make this review way to long. Bottom line is this: outstanding work done, all that they did was EXACTLY what they said they were going to do, and lastly, our home and property looks so amazing. These guys and Kit are they most professional reliable, reasonable prices tree care company around! read more

Took out a 30ft dead cottonwood in our backyard. No issues and very easy for us as home owners.

These guys are the best tree service I have ever found. From their office manager to the tree removal it was a great experience to meet them and have them remove two very large trees for us. They were very knowledgable on the tree types and diseases and treatments for the trees. They were very reasonable in pricing also. I would highly recommend them for your next tree job. read more

These folks had such positive reviews, I wish I didn't have to leave this review. I called in early March for an appointment, during their office hours. I left a voicemail. A few days later (after a weekend had passed), the arborist called me to say that their front office person was really sick, but he was trying to help out with scheduling. We set an appointment. He said I'd get an email, but I never did. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule it due to personal medical issues. I called and spoke to a woman to do so. She assured me that I was all set for Friday, April 5th, between 2:30 and 5. I requested something on the earlier side of that window. By 4p on April 5th, they still had not arrived. No phone call, no email, nothing. I called and I was not on the schedule at all. They had no record of me. The person tried to kindly offer to fix the error, explaining that she was relatively new, and took down my name and number. I said that I was open to rescheduling, if she really felt like this was not an common occurrence. I did not hear from them by close of business on Friday and have still not heard from them Monday, April 8th (and it is almost close of business). Don't waste your time with this company if you value your time. Hopefully they will get their administrative kinks worked out in the future. read more

Honest, affordable and professional. Cutting Edge has done our pruning, tree removal, tree planting, and treated a sick tree. Not only did they give the most affordable quotes, they gave knowledgeable advice, they showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would do, and left no mess behind whatsoever. On top of all that, they were friendly and professional. Can't ask for more than that! read more

My parents used Cutting Edge Tree care. They had called around and Cutting Edge was the cheapest quote AND gave great friendly prompt service!! Will definitely use them again! read more

Charlie and Kit are the "real deal". Honest, hardworking, extremely conscientious and, clearly, love trees. I had some of our trees pruned several years ago but "butchered" is actually a better word to describe the result. Naturally, I was wary of trying yet another, unskilled arborist. So when we hired Charlie and his crew to prune a big, old cottonwood and an ash, I was holding my breath. The results were stellar. Charlie also took down a scotch pine that had succumbed to beetle kill and planted a new, blue spruce in the same spot. The tree removal went much faster than I thought it would. Being a tree climbing expert helps! The spruce Kit picked out to replace the pine couldn't be more beautiful! All was done in a timely fashion and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Cutting Edge Tree Care. It's nice to know if I have any tree concerns in the future, I know who I'll call. read more
