Let me say this. If you need tree work done in your yard, and are looking at vendors, whether you decide on Qualitree or not, you DEFINITELY need to have them on your evaluation list. We needed a tree removed from our backyard and I personally vetted out five vendors, including one I used before. Everyone comes to your property and looks at the situation, gives you their thoughts, and send you an estimate. MEETING Ronny, who runs this place, is worth the experience alone. He is knowledgeable, not overly sales-y, transparent, friendly, and really seems to have a passion and caring for his work that is unmatched. This man truly loves trees, and just comes across as a really good dude. His price was really good in comparison to the others, but his personality is what really sold me on their company. He gave me options for the estimate, so I understood the various tiers of work. Most importantly, instead of upselling me on more work, his primary option was a lower amount, but made the most amount of sense for future housework we are having done. Finally, he spotted something in the pine trees (ips beetle marks) that no one else noticed. That really caught my eye. As far as the process... He first moved another appointment to accommodate our first choice of date. Then, he had some people get sick (pretty logical that you need the required amount of folks to remove a tree to do a job), had to cancel, and then moved ANOTHER appointment to accommodate the next available day. The removal was seamless. His crew was respectful, polite, and friendly, his work was done in the promised time, and he even called Xcel personally both for the required power off but also for the power on. We also had a tricky brick-surrounded island to navigate around, and watching them drop stuff harmlessly around it was sort of like watching Van Gogh paint a masterpiece. They are very careful about your belongings, and they even covered my hot tub during the removal. They left the place as they found it (except for the missing tree), and kept me in the loop on progress all day. His estimated price was the final price, and a customer always likes when hidden fees don't appear. He was organized via check, Zelle, or Venmo for payment (QR codes ready to go), and efficiently passed me that info when needed. Very organized shop. Removing a tree is nothing any homeowner wants to deal with optimally, but I can say that I enjoyed Qualitree's process more than I could have imagined. Sorry that I was working during any possible pics of them being high in the air. Last thing. I love wordplay, and you have to simply LOVE the name of a tree company being Quali...tree. Had to have a very large Locust tree removed from back yard with very limited access to tree. They were on time, did an excellent job, as they had to use a crane to remove it over the house, that has a new roof (two weeks old). All went well and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for tree removal services. After confirming timeframe and price, he never provided me an emailed estimate like he stated he would, and also never responded to how he would prefer to collect payment for the job. Come home today to find nobody ever came by, tree is still there. We were very happy with the work the crew did at our place. They removed to huge cottonwood trees that were close to the house. They took care to cut off any potentially hazardous limbs before dropping the trees, cut the logs and large limbs into split-able sized pieces and ground the stumps. We had 5 trees that we wanted cut down and several trees on our property that we wanted trimmed. We requested quotes from ~8 different places. Ronny's quote was the most competitive of the bunch, and he didn't try to haggle - just gave us a good price. He was quick and thorough in his communication, so we went with him. We are glad we chose Qualitree, they did a Fantastic job on the work, they took down the trees, gave us updates (pictures), spread extra mulch from the trees, and did a beautiful job trimming several Elms on the property. I'm not the type to speak negatively or post 1-star reviews. Aside from Amanda's Yelp messaging replies, pretty terrible customer service. I am posting my experience and it may or may not help you decide if you'd like to use them - or, more importantly, improve Qualitree's customer service going forward. Ron showed up late to our estimate appointment - not a big deal to me but just stating it. After which, told me a verbal quote and never ended up sending me an official one via email. After days of calls that were unanswered and unreturned texts, it felt awkward that I had to follow up with them if they would like my business. If at any point there was communication, crass or otherwise, it would have been fine with me. Tell me the job is too small, they're on vacation, or Qualitree is overbooked for a while... anything. Simply ignoring is not the correct answer. They eventually ended up sending me a quote which was much higher than the verbal price. I brought this to their attention and they said someone will reach out to me. I decided it was best not to wait on Qualitree again. I went with another company, Limb Walkers Tree Service, that price matched and told me Qualitree is not licensed (I do not know the validity of that). The point is that I had the work scheduled and completed with another company all while waiting on Qualitree to send me the correct quote - which I still have not received. Maybe Qualitree's work is where it shines but I'll probably never know. read more

Ronny is an excellent arborist who I met when he gave my neighbor and me honest information about the health and likelihood of a huge pine tree in my neighbor's back yard becoming uprooted and falling during a freak windstorm. Ronny and his men do a really great job. They were on time, got right to work, were so efficient I could detect that every movement performed had purpose and they totally cleaned up. I fully recommend them. I liked Ronny right off the bat when he came to give the estimate. I could tell he really cared, was impeccably knowledgable and explained in depth what I needed done to an elm and why to save my house from possible damage. They downed that monstrosity like a hot knife thru butter. It was next to a wooden fence and there was absolutely no damage done to the fence.
