Matt Thompson responded promptly from a business inquiry and came out the same day to give a quote…read more He removed 6 Aspen trees (no stump grind) and 5 dead branches on my property. His quote was competitive but it was a fairly big job and on the day of service he had a personal issue , asked if he could start a little later in the day and when he did arrive it was just him and a laborer. I've had other similar trees removed in the past so I was surprised there were not more staff and a bigger truck. No doubt he worked hard and all day, they didn't finish and had to return the next day. There were several things I brought to his attention, each of which was handled. He was courteous and professional but the yard clean up was not quite up to my standard and his partner laborer could have had more initiative. Matt's a great guy, I wanted to help him out and work with him. After their departure I noticed they had broken some yard art- simply not moving it to safety before doing the work- that was his partners job and there was no way he hadn't noticed that they had broken it. In retrospect Matt admitted he might have underbid the job. I'd still say give him a chance to earn your business. I wish him well.
