Summary: Unresponsive. Details: Called to request an estimate, received reply 1 day later to expect to hear from Steve in the next couple days. 6 days after original inquiry: nothing, so called to check on status and told would hear from Steve "right away". 2 days after this, still nothing, and a 2nd status check call hasn't been returned. Owner Tim sounds like a nice person, but there seems to be disorganization, disinterest, or something else going on here (maybe Steve was abducted by aliens??). Another company I contacted at least had the courtesy to call back to inform that they were too busy to take on a new customer at the time but to keep them in mind in future. I'd really like to support small business, but as someone who works full time, I need a company that's a little more reliable, so will have to look elsewhere. read more

It's tough to find the right combination of honesty, quality work, at a very fair price - but that's what I got with Tim & company. We had a 25 ft dead maple and a long overdue trim / trunk clearing of our gigantic spruce tree. When we got home from work that day my wife and I were *delighted* with the results on our trees, even though the stump grinding didn't happen til a few days later. Two neighbors even asked who did the work. As a bonus, they even hauled away my own landscaping efforts (2 tarps full of branches) at no charge. I will use them again (hopefully not real soon), but I can recommend AA without hesitation if you need help with your trees. read more

After I called and they came out with in two days to give me a quote. I just got a new house and noticed the tree in the back needed trimming, as the branches were to close to the electric lines and roof. Larry was awesome! He noticed my tree was a little sick and gave me a fair and honest price on trimming and treatment. When the arborist came out for treatment he explained and showed me what type of tree I had, how to care for it, the signs of malnutrition, what infection it had, how they would treat it and that they would come out next spring at no additional cost to check on the health and make sure the infection was gone. I didn't feel hassled, rushed or pressured into additional services. I know I will be using this company in the future for all my tree care needs. read more

I hired Tim to prune and trim three trees in my front yard. Prior to his team coming I called twice his office (a few days before and same day in the morning) and emphasized to his office manager that I'd like mild trimming, not too much. Due to my job I could not attend the morning they came. When I came back in the evening I was shocked to see the previous beautiful trees severely trimmed and sickly looking, especially the tree near the front door which is the most important to the yard's look. In addition some branches fell on the roof and they did not clean them. It would take a long time for the tree to recover. UPDATE: Tim came and acknowledged the tree was too aggressively pruned but it should grow back with time. Offered to provide nutritional tree feeding free of charge. I hope they improve their training to avoid repeat of this. read more

Arborist Alliance came out to my house to give me a price to trim a lilac. While they were looking, the representative noted my peach tree was dripping sap which is definitely not normal. She recommended a pest treatment and nutritional feeding. I was grateful and impressed with her noting the issue. Their trimmers did an excellent job on the lilac, not just hacking at it, but giving it a nice fan shape just like I wanted. They really listened to how I wanted it to look and how much I wanted taken off. I'm hopeful the pest treatment and nutrition will save my peach tree. I liked that the products they used were natural and plant-based derivatives, since I have a lot of other plants and animals nearby. Their arborist even came by later to follow up. So far, I have been extremely pleased. They will be getting more business from me, some additional larger tree trimming and other tree care. read more

I chose Arborist Alliance to trim 2 50+ year old trees and I will have them out again for more work. The trees had been trimmed in the past by services that trim trees, but did not have an arborist on staff that knows how to properly trim trees which resulted in weakened limbs and unruly growth patterns. The guys at Arborist Alliance did a fantastic job! They cleaned up poorly cut and storm damaged limbs and cleaned out the trees so they have room to grow. I have a huge ash in the backyard and Tim will let me know when its time to protect it against the emerald ash borer. Tim said he likes to maintain strong relationships with his customers, which I appreciate. Their estimate on the job was competitive, they were able to come out within 3 weeks of when I called, they left the yard cleaner than when they arrived and I strongly recommend them. read more

We altered some work instruction "on the fly" on the day they were there, due to my request, and they were immediately responsive to my request and did the work then and there, to my total satisfaction. Tim and his crew communicate readily, and I'm totally happy with their work and customer service skills. Tim brought to my attention some bark damage on my maple, and offered recommendations to help the tree. I appreciate his certification as Certified Arborist, and I'm willing to pay more for his earned expertise; I find his prices reasonable and certainly worth the knowledge he brings to the task. Larry Valdez came to give us an estimate for 2 apple trees to trim and they were very affordable as well as the 5 star reviews so we hired them. They sent a crew of 3 to complete the work today, they were very good and cleaned up so well and moved our statues and fountain to avoid damaging them that I did not have to do any clean up. We had a huge, old cottonwood in the backyard at our rental house. It was diseased and it was time for it to go. Based on the recommendation of several neighbors, we called Tim and his crew. They worked out in the freezing temperatures for over 6 hours (the tree was enormous!) to cut down our tree. They left the worksite clean and did a fantastic job! Tim was very easy to work with and professional. I should also mention that we received quotes from several other tree companies and Arborist Alliance came in WAY lower than the others. I had an old cherry tree in my back yard with significant damage from a carpenter ant infestation during the summer. This resulted in the tree falling over during a windstorm this Fall. It was resting on my fence and I was concerned that it would further damage the fence. So after looking around at several reviews online, I contacted the Arborist Alliance based on the handful of positive reviews they had here on Yelp. They called me within a few hours and the next day they came out to give me an estimate to take the tree down, grind the stump and haul the debris away. I also had them include another aging apple tree for fear the same issue would occur. The estimator was very courteous and professional and discussed several options and offered a fair price for the work to be done. They originally estimated that their backlog was about 4 weeks out, but offered to come out the next day to pull the tree off the fence to prevent further damage for the time being, which was acceptable to me. However, to my surprise, they were able fit the entire project in the next day with no wait. They completed the work in a few hours and left my back yard clean like they'd never been there, except minus two trees of course. I am very happy with the service they provided and would use them again no question. read more
