Firstly, I want to thank the kind folks at Langley's Tree Service who came out to check our spruces and maple trees. The team at Langley were transparent and clear about how to best take care of our trees and revive them. It turns out we were overwatering the maples and it overwhelmed the tree systems. They were clear and transparent and didn't try to sell us anything for the sake of selling anything. I really appreciate them using their knowledge and transparency. Although they didn't have any services to provide us after the tree diagnosis, I know that we will be contacting them the next growing season for other tree questions we may have. A neighbor complained that our tree at the end of a cul-de-sac is impeding the sidewalk and got Code Enforcement involved. Although this means we'll ultimately have to have a significant amount of the tree pruned, Langley's Tree Specialist went above and beyond to provide me with recommendations, including documentation that I could share with Code Enforcement, to postpone this until January, when the tree would be more able to handle the stress. Such a responsive company! More concerned about the health of the tree than getting the job out o the way and paid for (which I was 100% willing to do to avoid fines, etc.). UPDATE: Turns out they were reaching out for information on my sickly looking trees and got back to me after they had information to share. Haven't worked with them, but they did provide good advice! Requested a quote and response was, "we'll text you when we can stop by". Next day they asked for photos of my trees to which they replied with, "ok, thank you. I used Yelp services to request quotes on a tree removal. The tree was in the backyard behind a solid fence and not easily visible from the locked gate, however was a tall ash tree and could be seen from the front. Langley responded quickly and sent someone out within a day or two, but didn't coordinate timing for the walk around as I'd requested so the person doing the estimate would have done so without a good look at the bottom 10ft of the tree. Pricing was very reasonable; quotes from all companies came in two groups of around $850 for removal by climbing and $5k for removal with a crane, and Langley's was willing to do it with climbers. I ended up going with another company but I'd definitely call Langley again for future work. read more

We hired Langley Tree Company to remove two large trees from our front yard and were initially impressed with the ease of scheduling and the friendly communication with Kaleigh and the bang for our buck. Luke and his team were courteous, but the overall experience has been frustrating. The job, which included grinding stumps 6 inches below ground level, stretched over several days due to weather and scheduling conflicts. Once completed, we were left with stump shrapnel, which took weeks to clear, only to find one stump not fully ground down and our sprinkler system damaged. A sprinkler technician confirmed the damage likely resulted from heavy machinery used during the tree removal. Despite contacting Langley, we were informed they weren't liable for sprinkler damage--an issue we wish had been disclosed before signing, as it's also missing from the contract. Luke promised to send a sprinkler company and return to finish the stump, but a week later, with no further communication despite our follow-up attempts, the issues remain unresolved. We liked Langley's team initially, but the lack of accountability and follow-through has been disappointing. Sadly, we can't recommend them, as our experience turned out to be unprofessional and unreliable. read more

Hands down the best customer service, responsiveness, honesty, work ethic, and simple human care for ME and My Project I have seen in a... well, maybe ever. We lost our home in the Marshall fire . The arborist from the demo company wanted to remove all of my perfectly recoverable trees (likely because working around them will be difficult, and a liability). The thought of losing my trees is more painful than losing the house. Needless to say I was very upset and anxious to talk to someone. Luke responded immediately even though it was 9pm and came out the next day (Sunday!). It's been two weeks and I am still just now hearing back from other companies. On workday, they carefully trimmed out all the dead parts, careful not to take too much. Had these guys out to look at trees and landscaping that hadn't been properly tended by prior owner for 11+ years. Luke came out fast, had availability for us right away, and was reasonably priced. They made fast, safe work of removing a multi-story cottonwood in the back that was next to a fence as well as another smaller dead tree and helped prune back high branches from where they were scraping the house.
