Our 20-year-old ash tree had resisted disease but was showing signs of stress. Apparently, it was under attack by the ash borer. Parker Tree Service gave us a fair estimate. The work performed was excellent. They brought a tarp and they had the tree pruned in about five hours. Our tree needed to be cut back from the house, too. This work was done. The ability to get FREE mulch all year round is such a welcome thing!! THANK YOU! I would imagine their tree services our top notch, since we haven't needed that, I can speak to being able to get mulch each year really helps us as I cover a rather large area and we rent, so while we take great care of any place we live, to be able to get this for free is very helpful and a cost I wouldn't put in high priority. Do it yourself, there are some shovels, we bring our own and buckets or trash bins to put mulch in. Apparently the logs are also free, great for some outdoor projects! read more

i called and left a message and they responded within an hour. they came out, took a look at our trees and assured me they were not 'sick' but certainly could use a trim. the quote arrived via e-mail, they offered three levels of service and quickly scheduled an appointment to trim or Norway Maples. Jaime and his crew are amazing! Jaime is an arborist, which I wanted. I had a large elm that they cut down. The stump grind was thorough, and they left my yard clean and everything mulched. But that wasn't the best part. I also have a very, very big cottonwood. I mean a monster! Easily 50-60 feet tall. They spent almost 8 hours up in that tree, pruning it. And then cleaned up all that wood too! Yes, I expected that they would mulch and take everything with them. But they swept everything up as well. They were here from 9 am through almost 7 pm... working non stop! And, they were not the highest of the three quotes I got. They were so professional I've already given their info to one of my neighbors, who also commented on their professionalism. I can't say enough! Hire them! Any job size... if they can tackle my two jobs, they can certainly handle yours! read more

We've have a couple of experiences with this tree service in the past year. The first situation arose last summer because of a mess that resulted from allowing a landscaper, not a tree surgeon such as Mr Parker, to work on the trees. One tree actually ended up needing to be removed. Although its location in the yard was tricky -- at the fence corner -- the tree was pulled down without any damage. The cleanup was really well done. Last month when dormancy finally made it possible to address the trouble created by the landscaper, I asked Mr Parker to return. I was impressed by how thoroughly he addressed issues with each of the remaining trees. And, once again, cleanup was complete. The only sign they'd been here was that the yard looked neater than when they arrived. I was also impressed by the punctuality. When for one estimate he was going to be about 15 minutes later than the appointment time, he called to let me know. Pricing seemed very reasonable and Mr Parker's knowledgeability made a great impression. This probably isn't enforced, but it turns out that Longmont requires that businesses who work on trees be licensed for the work and that licensure depends on passing an exam. The outfit who made the mess in our trees turns out not to be licensed here. Parker's is and the results are just great. read more

We had a 30 foot limb from our honey locust tree in the back yard break off and crash down on the privacy fence during the last heavy snow. I didn't know who to call, but after doing some internet research, I decided on Parker and I'm glad I did! Phone calls are returned very quickly and Jamin was able to get to our tree within a couple of days. He is very knowledgeable, adept, and has a very pleasant personality to boot! The 30 foot limb and the tree was taken care of as well as a thorough clean-up of my yard and the neighbors yard where most of the limb had gone. I am thoroughly impressed with this company, the tree service, stump grinding, and customer service. Their website is awesome, very detailed about what they do, and response to an inquiry is very rapid. Kyle one of their tree guys came to my home, and within 5 minutes a tree was down, and they were chipping the remains of the branches. We discussed how to feed trees iron, when to prune fruit trees, and how to take care of a broken branch on one of my maples. The clean up is so thorough, when my hubby came home he told me he couldn't even tell someone had worked there except for the stumps :) Bill the stump grinder was super friendly and that team as well did an awesome cleanup. I very much dislike writing less than steller reviews for great companies, but have to say the following. I've had at least three big jobs done by Parker over the last 15 years. The service was supurb, reasonably priced, got a senior discount, repeat customer attention, prompt and all those good things. This was before the 2013 flood after which people would pay ANYTHING to have their broken and uprooted trees removed. This spring I had a small job, little tree killed by early November hard freeze and squirrel chewing. It would have taken Parker 15 minutes to take the tree out, but imagine my surprise when I learned they had recently initiated a "minimun fee" of nearly $300 for any service. Small jobs and prior clients no longer count I guess, and I'd still highly recommend them for big jobs. I'm 78 years old and was trying to figure out how to remove the tree myself when I found another service who took out the tree for $50. read more

Bogus, just bogus. I contacted them several months ago about trimming trees on my property and THEY set up an appointment based upon their practice of not trimming trees until the winter. Two days before the appointment, they contacted me to say they got a better job and they would not be coming to take care of my property. read more

These guys are great. Certified arborists. We considered removing a large maple tree that got damaged by some heavy snow, but they pruned it back into a healthy, good-looking tree. They did a great job on our other trees as well, answered all our questions (even about trees we didn't have them prune), and cleaned up so thoroughly you'd never know there was a pile of branches in the yard. read more

Very knowledgeable and friendly. There was snow on the ground and very cold when they did my very large ash tree and tulip poplar in the front. The crew reexplained the work they were going to do prior to beginning. Came back at a later date to trim another very large ash in the back yard. Again, did a great job and reviewed some options re the green ash borer that is inevitably going to be coming to Longmont. Before leaving they re raked my front yard to clean up what was missed on the previous visit because of snow. I definitely recommend Parker Tree Service. read more
