Stellar service when it comes to a tricky and potentially dangerous business. We used the 2 years ago for an emergency cleanup of a tree that broke in high wind and landed on an adjacent tree and damaged it. They did the immediate cleanup up and came back for the large removal project. It could not have gone better. Fast forward 2 years and we needed to remove our last 2 conifers for wildfire mitigation in a high risk neighborhood. I called them back as I feel they are the best arborists around. Locally owned and staffed. The set up for the project went well, the timing perfect for summer between the move out of last year's students and the arrival for the upcoming year. The house closest to the tree is the house next to ours which is student rental home for CU off campus housing. When they are between summer moves , there are fewer parking issues as well as not interfering with their lifestyle. The team came this morning m, right in time, having procured the no parking signs for such work and having the utilities locators done in advance. The work when exceeding well, removing the already broken spruce and the aging and badly place piñon pine, too close to our house. The team of arborists were amazing. I would certainly use them again if I could but I am out of trees that will ever need removals. Call this place first if you are ever in need. In Colorado, we are facing terrible wildfire risks and all communities will need evaluation. In this area, Blue River can't be beat. read more

They do great tree work. They quoted me 3.5 hours to chip a few branch piles around the yard I had saved up. I moved the piles to the driveway. The chipper ran for 8 minutes 4 while people swarmed on chipping the branches. After, a couple workers swept up the driveway. I was billed 2.5 hours (37.5 min x 4?) I complained and they knocked off an hour (now 1.5 HR or 22.5 min x 4) It's closer to what I observed, but still generously rounding up. I'm bummed because I'll miss their quality, but now I need to look for a tree service that I can trust with billing. read more

We would highly recommend the team at Blue River to anyone. We had a huge, old elm that had to come down. When we requested a quote we were forewarned the lead time was two months. But the job took place exactly on the day we scheduled. The office was organized and responsive.The morning of the job Mark showed up in his vehicle a few minutes ahead of the team. We reviewed the job as the others arrived. They used a bucket/boom truck, a chipper truck and a haul away truck. All the equipment is in great shape. Dustin and his crew literally stunned us with their fast, professional removal of a 2.5 story pine tree that fell onto our garage in 100 mph winds. Both of our cars were trapped under the tree. A monster crane arrived to lift the tree's crown while the crew cut the main trunk. Then the crane lifted that tree up and over our heads to a safe spot, and the crew had it chopped and loaded in less than half an hour. Truly excellent service. They cleaned up every branch. Blue River Forestry did a great job of trimming our large ash tree that was encroaching on our neighbor's property. The crew also took time to clean up all branches etc. that had littered the ground.
