Summary at the end…read more Went to Ron's to drop my truck off for an alignment and to take the strut spacers off. Ron's told my husband they would have to charge for an inspection (don't remember getting a price), the alignment was going to be about $100, and we didn't get a price on taking the strut spacers off. We get a call later in the day saying the alignment is done and it's as aligned as it's going to get and it's going to be $170 for the alignment and that they didn't take the spacers off because it was going to be $1000 to remove the spacers. To better assist customers, they should have called us before doing the alignment if they knew or even had a hunch they wouldn't be taking the spacers off. We were told they were going to charge us 170$ plus $140 for inspection. On top of that, we have to get a new alignment after getting our spacers off since you're supposed to take spacers off first. In hindsight, we should have read yelp reviews instead of Google reviews because there were reviews of people with similar experiences. So we took my truck to Trickles and they quoted us about 600 for the strut spacers and the new alignment. We went back to Ron's and told them our situation hoping they would be understanding and they said they'll only charge us for the inspection so they charged us $147. We were also informed at the checkout process that they weren't familiar with spacers/lift kits on ford trucks, which is fine, but I just wish we would have known that before dropping our keys off with them. I'm just very disappointed in the lack of communication because we didn't need the work they did if they weren't going to take the strut spacers off. I wish we were told before they proceeded with the repairs. Summary: They should have called us after the inspection and told us the combined cost of the strut spacer removal AND the alignment. Instead they did just the alignment even though we'll have to get another one after strut spacers are removed. I give it three stars because I appreciate not having to pay for the alignment but I did not have a good time, definitely didn't want to pay $147 just to have to take my truck somewhere else. The alignment and inspection is reasonably priced if you're not getting it for no reason.

Like any terrible relationship, I have the feeling that if I bring up one, small, issue they will utilize that to open a can of worms and take all my money and then I'll leave. ...Wow. That analogy works really well but hits a little hard. ANYWAY. Eastman's has restored my faith in a healthy relationship. Car-wise. I'm working on the other stuff. I have been to this shop a few times because its location is near my work, but I will continue going there because of their honesty, dedication to service, and customer satisfaction. Every time I have been here they have always been AMAZING at being forthright. In one instance, their technicians looked over my vehicle and Larry (the owner) told me that...although they could do the work, to scout around. It may be more cost effective to go to a shop that specializes in what I had going on. (AMAZING. A place that's honest and will take a customer's well-being over a credit card swipe). Another example is when I went there in the morning and asked if they could look at my battery. I could pick up my car later in the d... NOPE. Larry walked out with me. Looked it over. Grabbed a wrench. And fixed my issue within 5 minutes! When I asked the charge he, clearly joking, said, "I dunno...five bucks...?" (I did give him that $5). When my battery acted up again though, he was still there. He ran tests on it. We couldn't find the problem, and he apologize (which - I think it was a fluke...I haven't had an issue since) but he did recharge it for me. He also didn't actively seek to find other areas of improvement. He said there were more tests he could do but said, those take more time and are more expensive. We should see if this was just a one-off (it was) before going through all of that. His shop has probably saved me 100's of dollars. Honesty. Honesty is huge when building a rapport with customers and retention. Of course, quality technicians and work is required and Eastman's has that as well. I don't know much about cars so I can't really speak on technique. I just know this: When I need something fixed.. They fix it. It doesn't mess up again. (or) Eastman's will give me honest answers, recommend other avenues to resolve a problem (and) Charge fairly or just ask for $5.00.

It was long and my time was short. Jiffy Lube it was. I had a good experience at Jiffy Lube. No line whatsoever. The entrance was a little confusing, with an emphasis on where to go for a car wash. Just drive up to the service bay. There was also a little confusion over whether they had 0W-20 oil. They did. I also understand that selling tire rotations and the like is part of the Jiffy Lube business strategy, but I greatly appreciated that they quickly stopped when I expressed no interest. I asked if there was a coupon I should know about. They indicated they didn't think so. A bit misleading. Thanks Yelper Dustin A. for posting a link to the Ames Jiffy Lube site ($7.25 off). I almost didn't have time to find the coupon. Service was so fast! I also received a voucher for a free car wash at check out. Not bad. I can't speak to whether LOF Express is a better option. I dropped my car off on a Tuesday at 8 AM, which was scheduled the previous Wednesday. I requested…read morea tire rotation, a front and rear wheel alignment, and a flush of the A/C drain unit. I was told to expect my vehicle to be restored within a few hours. Five hours passed, and I called CarX asking about the status of my vehicle. I was told: "Your A/C was fixed and running perfectly, the front alignment is complete, we're working on the rear alignment." I was also told that minimal time was needed to resolve the remaining issues. 3.5 hours had passed, and I contacted CarX again. The mechanic said they needed 30 minutes and that the car would be complete, so I commuted to the shop. I was told the mechanic was having an issue with a rear alignment bolt and given the option to take my vehicle because I had work. At that point, I took my vehicle because if they wanted to fix it, they had 8.5 hours to do so. I was told to bring my car back so the work can be completed. My vehicle will never visit CarX again. Upon receiving my vehicle, I immediately turned on my A/C, it did not work, and my front wheel alignment was still faulty. They did not rotate my tires, they did not complete the rear wheel alignment, and they did not flush the A/C drain unit. My car was the same condition when I dropped it off that morning. It sucks because I was told these things were complete. I do not recommend CarX. I pray the mechanics are truthful with all clients and complete the work they say they will do. It is neither right nor fun to drive 6+ hours with NO A/C during the hottest time of year. I trusted CarX, and I was let down.
