Drove an extra 30 miles with it hanging and making noises. Finally we pull up to the nearest services and they were closing in 15 minutes... A gentle man inside (sorry didn't look at his name) came out to look at the car and laid on the floor and pulled it right out. No questions asked just did it. So nice of him. We didn't know what we could of done that since we didn't know what it was. So happy that we were able to continue on our drive with his help. THANK YOU!!!

This was the first stop we made on a somewhat undirected (at first) search for vehicles, and Mark Erickson was extremely helpful. Gookin had a decent selection of used vehicles - a handful of Fusions, a couple G6s, a Malibu, and some other assorted items, and Mark was very patient in walking us through all the features and differences between each vehicle, allowed us to test drive without even a second thought (didn't ride with us, didn't take our drivers licenses, nothing - just...here's the keys, let me know how you like it) and was very helpful in his suggestions - in a non-sleazy car salesman way, pointing out that a new Focus, while smaller in size, was roughly the same price after incentives as some of the used cars we were looking at. I kind of feel bad that we didn't end up buying here, given the amount of time and patience Mark spend with us, but they just didn't have the selection of George White. They were extremely helpful in guiding us towards a final decision though, and for that, I'll say I'm a fan.

Summary at the end…read more Went to Ron's to drop my truck off for an alignment and to take the strut spacers off. Ron's told my husband they would have to charge for an inspection (don't remember getting a price), the alignment was going to be about $100, and we didn't get a price on taking the strut spacers off. We get a call later in the day saying the alignment is done and it's as aligned as it's going to get and it's going to be $170 for the alignment and that they didn't take the spacers off because it was going to be $1000 to remove the spacers. To better assist customers, they should have called us before doing the alignment if they knew or even had a hunch they wouldn't be taking the spacers off. We were told they were going to charge us 170$ plus $140 for inspection. On top of that, we have to get a new alignment after getting our spacers off since you're supposed to take spacers off first. In hindsight, we should have read yelp reviews instead of Google reviews because there were reviews of people with similar experiences. So we took my truck to Trickles and they quoted us about 600 for the strut spacers and the new alignment. We went back to Ron's and told them our situation hoping they would be understanding and they said they'll only charge us for the inspection so they charged us $147. We were also informed at the checkout process that they weren't familiar with spacers/lift kits on ford trucks, which is fine, but I just wish we would have known that before dropping our keys off with them. I'm just very disappointed in the lack of communication because we didn't need the work they did if they weren't going to take the strut spacers off. I wish we were told before they proceeded with the repairs. Summary: They should have called us after the inspection and told us the combined cost of the strut spacer removal AND the alignment. Instead they did just the alignment even though we'll have to get another one after strut spacers are removed. I give it three stars because I appreciate not having to pay for the alignment but I did not have a good time, definitely didn't want to pay $147 just to have to take my truck somewhere else. The alignment and inspection is reasonably priced if you're not getting it for no reason.

Dave called the car rental company, who told us we had a full spare in the trunk, and that they'd send someone to change the tire. We checked the trunk and found a donut tire, not a full size spare. We didn't want to drive on the interstate with that tire, so we cancelled the service call from the rental company. Fortunately, someone recommended Marlie's. We called them forty minutes before they closed and they were so nice! They told us to come by so they could take a look at the tire They removed the screw, patched our tire, and only charged $30. Plus, we had a really nice conversation while we waited. As a bonus, they recommended dinner at Seneca Street Saloon. We ordered pizza, and it was delicious! Marlie's is the best!

This…read moreis one of those tow companies that takes advantage of truckers when they're most vulnerable. During this recent cold weather Iowa has been experiencing in the last couple days with temperatures being in the negative degrees, our truck went down on I35 in Iowa approx 20 miles from their shop. We agreed to allow them to tow the truck to their shop and allow the truck to warm up with their space heaters & blankets as they said they had. Being a smaller company, we watch every nickle and dime we can, so naturally we asked what would they charge us. They verbally gave us a great rate initially because they said how close we were to them. It was under $1k. We felt that was fair at the time. Fast forward to them getting our truck warmed up. They emailed us the bill and they ended up billing us for nearly 4k! And demanded we pay in order for truck to be released. It was a whole bait & switch. There was no additonal heads up about price increase or nothing! They were very rude and nasty when we tried to talk to them and work this out. I asked the guy on the phone if I could speak with the manager or owner and he said NO because the owner was out grabbing another truck. He said we would have to wait until the AM to speak with the owner. I asked would we be charged additional to do that and he said "Yes, $125 additional for storage." I told him you gotta be kidding me. An additional charge when I'm not allowed to speak to the owner right now to work out this outrageous bill. I'm all for paying for a service but I'm not for extortion. I look forward to the day where these predatory towing companies get what's coming to them. We learned after the fact that this tow company has a reputation for this kind of predatory fees and charges. Until something is done fellow truckers, beware of Tony's Tire/Towing Service in Williams, Iowa!

After waiting a couple of hours an employee showed up to help me. The worker ruined the special key used to remove the lug bolts on my bmw and he spent the next few hours trying to remove the wheel in order to fix my flat. After failing he told me someone in the morning could absolutely remove the lug without the key and fix my flat. So we got a room for the night and returned to Tony's the next morning. Another worker spent an hour or so trying to remove the tire but he failed also. Only other option was to take it somewhere else to get fixed all because Tony's had ruined the key needed to remove the special lug bolt. This of course caused all of my problems of not be able to get the tire fixed. Tony's charged me $1250 for working on my car. (they caused the whole problem and fixed nothing. Then I had to tow car 150 miles to Minneapolis at a cost of over $1000!! BMW in Minneapolis fixed the problem and charged me $219. Stopping a Tony's was the worst experience of my life and I can't believe they ruined my lug key and charged me $1200 for their efforts. They are the worst excuse for a business I have ever had dealings with. They screwed me big time and smiled while they were doing it. My advice is to stay away from Tony's at all cost!!!!!
