This has to be one of the most organized stores around town. Although I have been to many REI locations, and they basically all are. You walk in are immediately greeted by helpful faces asking how they can help. Which is great as the store is so big and has so many options, it surely can feel a little overwhelming. The employees there are experts in the outdoors, and genuinely want to see you walk out happy so you can go enjoy the outdoors too. Their return policy is amazing. This location is just off Franklin Road and has a huge and convenient parking lot. Anytime I need a little help and don't have time to do the research myself, this is my #1 stop because I know they will steer me right.

Not the best customer service. I was trying to get more information about the rewards card and a coupon I received in the mail, but the conversation was cut short when I attempted to make a purchase for mailing. The item I wanted wasn't available in the store, and only two registers were open. It seemed like another employee was providing excellent service, but unfortunately, mine was not as helpful.

I usually just shop REI online, because there isn't a store near me. This was actually my first experience inside one. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I was surprised by their huge bike section because that's not something you notice while shopping online. The gear carried by REI is priced high and I've gotten used to fully researching anything before I buy it. So walking around the store was nice, but unproductive. REI has some wonderful and very durable outdoor equipment, but not everything here is worth the price tag. I do have their lifetime membership and enjoy the benefits.

Stroller

Bike repair shop fixed my stroller tires! Very nice and fast service. Like new again, handled 5 customers within 15 min, it was a great experience.Thank you !

Absolutely beautiful store with anything you need for outdoor and camping needs. Prices are high, but competitive.

They first introduced me to a winter obsession of mine - Smartwool socks. If you've never worn them, they are so wonderful and warm and addictive. They are meant for hiking, and that's what I originally bought them for, but I wear them all the time in winter now. The people at Blue Ridge will find you just what you need for your level of outdoorsiness. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

I've never had staff help here that seemed anything other than them trying to make a sale. I went there today with a pair of Vasque boots whose sole cushioning had dry rotted after 3 years. The manager said there was nothing that Vasque would do, and recommended a cobbler on the West Coast who would repair them for $60. Instead I took the boots to Cumberland Transit, and 15 minutes after I had walked out of BRMS, Cumberland said no problem. All I had to do was pay $10 shipping to have them sent back to Vasque to get new soles. It also ticked me off that the lady at BRMS repeatedly said the soles had delaminated, when in fact they had dry-rotted, something I had to point out to her multiple times. In short, this is the worst BRMS store I have ever been in, and one of the worst outdoor stores in the Nashville area, which is consistent with the reviews I have heard from other outdoor buffs. I guess they stay in business catering to the Belle Meade label conscious crowd.

Good luck with that because all we found were small and medium. Have you not noticed the plethora of tall, athletic women in Williamson County? Note, Bombas socks are not with the socks near the shoe section because they find the need to have two sock sections. She also found an unusually low stock of leggings (compared to other Dick's) outside of the Calia brand that she doesn't prefer. Again, see comments about athletic females in this county. On the bright side, they're definitely keeping up with the Williamson County lacrosse craze and offer a tremendous variety of equipment in all popular sports for young people (except maybe ice hockey). So at least somebody there is paying attention to what they're selling.

As with most Dick's, they have a solid selection of sportswear and you can usually get a solid deal on good quality athletic and athleisure wear. My only gripe with this location is the service, or lack thereof. On my last two trips in I was looking for something specific and needed assistance locating. Finding an associate that wasn't on the registers was nearly impossible, and when I did spot one, they seemed to scatter when they felt I was going to approach with a question. On both trips, I ultimately just looked, didn't find and left. And oddly on my way out, both cashiers who were not assisting other customers didn't even interact. The store is kept in good condition and is clean on each visit. Always stocked well and easy to navigate. Overall, not the best Dick's experiences.

The store is large and packed with goods. It is well laid out, organized and easy to maneuver through without being overwhelming. We found several shirts and a pair of shoes that were well priced, so we left with more than we arrived with...per usual. My only issue with this location was the service, or lack thereof. There were three Associates congregated behind the counter the entire time we were in store. In addition to us, there were several other shoppers, and none of us interacted with staff unless we checked out or sought them out behind the register. Weird style of retail service... Overall, solid 3.5 experience due to service, but since we do not do half stars, 4 it is.

But congratulations to Columbia for fixing the problem. I purchased a jacket from Columbia as a Christmas gift for my wife. The jacket did not fit, so we returned it promptly. Columbia has now had the jacket back in their possession for over two weeks, yet my refund has still not been issued. When I contacted customer service, I was told the refund would be processed within seven days. That timeframe has passed. On a follow-up call, I was then told it could take 7-10 business days, which directly contradicts the original communication. When I called again, I was told to "check with my financial institution." I did not purchase the jacket from my bank, and I did not return it to my bank. I returned it to Columbia. This feels less like a processing delay and more like an unwillingness to issue a timely refund. Taking a customer's money immediately but holding both the product and the funds for weeks after a return is poor business practice. Based on this experience, I do not recommend doing business with Columbia. I plan to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
