We had an excellent experience with David at Regency Auto Sales in Wilmington. Our purchase of my husband's car went very smoothly, and we were offered a Contract Cancellation Option Agreement, which is something we were aware all dealerships are required to offer. If after you purchase the car and have it inspected by your personal mechanic, if there's something wrong with the car, you have 48 hours to return the car and cancel the purchase. I was happy when purchase this truck and also had purchase my wife car. In Feb i got a letter from the warranty that they had not pay for it and the warranty was cancel. Since then i being coming to get a refund and they being giving excuses. Now David don't want to contact the warranty or the Leander to get a cancellation letter. I have contacted both warranty and lender and both tell me the dealer need to call them. I wont recommend them at all. I need to share my experience with Michael at Regency USA Car sales. For me he was the best most honest patient person I have ran into on a car lot for some years. I was looking for a Lincoln Navigator to replace my wife's that was totaled in an accident. I found one on their site that truly seemed too good to be true. We all see those. I live almost 7 hrs away, so I put Michael through the ringer with questions before I took an entire 18hr commitment to drive there and back. Because the price was so good, I figured I would get there and the car would have a smoke smell and be a repaired wrecked car that I would not want. This is why I wanted to see it prior to purchase. Michael, was so calm patient and above all honest with me and treated me with respect even though I was buying a cheap car for their lot. I spent over an hour looking through, in and under the car, it was perfect. Nothing that he had not disclosed. Nothing hidden. Michael had sent me quite a few pictures whenever I had requested them and detailed every flaw he saw with the car. I have had the car for over a week now and I could not be happier. He even helped me on his personal time to return my rental car. I tried to shop locally and the car salesmen here were just the worst. Based on my experience, I would recommend this dealership and I assume all but especially Michael. So we saw this 2019 mustang online and said it's a good deal for being a 2019 premium eco boost. We asked if it was in good shape was told yes it was have that all on text with the salesmen great guy. Well no damage was told and clean car fax checked it out myself. Was told it was a previous rental but only has under 13,000 miles so it still under ford warranty that's great. So we rent a car to drive down to la area. Well we see the car I notice the front driver side headlight had condensation in it. Well if under warranty easy fix. Well nephew test drove it. Noticed it a little wobbly from the front well might be low tire pressure. So nephew loved it I liked it. But didn't have the premium sound system like on the ad the Olsen one with the subwoofer. Okay so I check the trunk 1st noticed a fine dust that's from bondo a filler used in body shops so that tells me this car has been in a body shop. Well now the hood well the light with the moisture inside is covered in silicon ghetto repair then I notice the body bolts holding the fender to the car well they have been painted and not in center but way off center and u can see the previous location then before the shock and before the firewall I can see they Metal was crippled and then they tried to straighten it out. Well they did a crappy job they even used silicon in it to give it a filled look. Well now I know why they tire was low so we wouldn't noticed the alignment issue this car would surly have called my friend at a shop sent the pictures was told 3-5,000 fix that's to get the oem light and put this mustang on the framer. Well after all this I needed to get breakfast and talk things threw. Told this info the owner supposedly. Well he said don't worry I will get a new headlight and jack up the price since I know it's a good deal. Yeah it will be until someone dies due to the bad repairs and sues u. But it's okay I think he will just file bankruptcy and put the dealer up on someone else's name. I say be careful with a dealership like this. The seller his a great guy just wish he was with a honest car dealership he would be making tons of money. Well just a warning and my experience with this dealer. Then just today u got my 500 deposit to hold the car for a few days. That took longer then 2 days it took 7 days to get back. Always take the car to a shop if u don't know about car damage and signs of repairs especially cheap repairs. Now I know why they never showed the driver side picture lol oh yeah the front bumper has damage too. So not worth it I would of paid 14,000 for it and taken to get the repairs done to make sure everything was safe to be driven by my family. But some rental car companies do in house repairs but u can find this one in the dealer auction damaged pictures and let's me to think these dealership repaired it. BUYER BEWARE - I purchased a 2011 Range Rover HSE with 77,000 miles on 9/10/2021. After agreeing to a trade-in on my 2015 ML 350, they changed their mind when I showed up to sign the papers. I proceeded to buy the Range Rover anyway. Within 2 days the check engine light came on and the thermostat needed to be replaced. On 10/15/2021, less than 300 miles after buying the vehicle the engine cylinder cracked while in idle. It was immediately towed, however, the engine was completely totaled. I contacted Regency, but the owner was very defensive and did not take any responsibility. He offered to call me back with his mechanic, but never did. I'm out 14K for a new engine 35 days after buying from these guys. They obviously cleared the codes knowing the car had thermostat/overheating issues prior to selling to me. THREE AND A HALF : My experience with this outfit was mostly favorable. bought a mini cooper from them -- from Richard specifically. Few issues from the start. . . for instance, the battery was just about dead and i ended up getting stranded few days after i bought the car (it wouldnt even take a jump start). i bought a new battery, installed it, and that issue was thankfully resolved ( i was worried there might be some kind of electrical draw going on). the bigger issue was that the car was consuming coolant rapidly and ultimately overheating. I called Rich, he told me to bring the car down. i was able to get it down there and he said he'd take care of it. Ultimately, he did. my only complaint is that it took way longer than he projected (2 days turned into 6) and that there was very little communication during this time. several times he said hed call back and did not. But like i said, ultimately HE STOOD BY THE CAR AND FIXED THE PROBLEM (cracked thermostat housing) which is the biggest takeaway here since i bought the car "as is" and he really was not obligated to fix it. i think that is most significant. i am satisfied with my dealings with REGENCY. read more

I'm so disappointed in this place I had purchased a truck here a few weeks ago and from the moment I got there's been issues. My salesman Richard kept insisting there was nothing wrong with the truck and that it was his sons before and it was well taken care of and nothing needed to be done and it had just passed smog and all kinds of stuff was replaced on the truck. Not even 30 miles after leaving the lot the check engine light had came on. I had called to talk to Richard but he wasn't there when I had explained to another salesman what happened and had told them how they reset the on board diagnostics to not have the check angina light show he started yelling at me saying how could I accuse them of doing that. Well it turn out there was a hole in the muffler and there's no way any vehicle can pass smog with a hole in any part of the exhaust system. They offered to have me drop off the truck to be fixed but couldn't trust their mechanic who supposedly worked on before.i had to pay 120$ to fix the muffler and the check engine light is still on. Point of this is the these guys are CONMEN AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR POCKET. PLEASE AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS there a lot of honest salesmen out there but you won't find one here. If you do go here avoid dealing with Richard hell tell you what you want to hear just to get paid. My only regret is not bringing my own obdii scanner to check the vehicle before I committed to purchasing the vehicle don't be fooled by this place you might get lucky and get a decent vehicle but I wouldn't take that chance. Don't waste your time with this shady little dealership! Went with the intent to buy and the online ad was too good to be true. When I was getting financed through my bank they told me there were red flags with the vehicle I was trying to purchase from them. I called salesman Mike to ask why the car was registered to the DMV as a planned non operational vehicle? All dealerships have their cars registered in order for customers to test drive them. These guys were trying to scam the system by registering their cars as PNO and save money on registration. That was red flag number one. Red flag number two was the vehicle had a lien hold on it. WTF?! Mike had trouble explaining so he passed the phone to the owner. He tried to explain there was a lien because the car got repoed and "their bank" held the the title. BS! The car wasn't even showing the dealership as the registered owner! They wanted to pull a fast one by saying that once the vehicle was purchased they would update the registration for me. Also wanted my bank to pay a 3rd party bank to remove the lien on a repo car they were trying to sell me. Nice try. Don't buy from here unless you want to get scammed! read more

Stay away from this dealer at all costs. My experience here was nothing short of a NIGHTMARE, and continues to torment me daily. I just wanted a simple used vehicle to do uber with. I did not expect perfection, I knew that eventually I would have major breakdowns, but that's acceptable if you know you're going to use the heck out of car as I do. They had a nice 2009 HHR on the website and my girlfriend insisted I get that one because it was white and matched her car, so I went to go buy it. I checked the CARFAX before going. First off, "Chris" lied immediately to my face...he told me only 80 thousand miles (actually 89,900) and "one owner" (actually 2, and it was a fleet vehicle). But that's the LEAST of my concerns. I really needed that car, but they told me it wasn't ready, but I could just leave a deposit until the "Mechanic" had a chance to "come back" and prepare it for sale. So I left $500 and began to wait, and wait, and wait. It took an entire week to sell me the stupid car. One time when I called, they told me the "Detailer" had taken the keys with him by accident. The next time I called, they said the "Mechanic" had taken the keys with him to MEXICO?????. Which was a lie and which was the truth? An entire week passed by. I could have earned at least $800 doing uber for that week, had they just given me the car that was advertised as for sale on their website THE DAY I WENT but no, they couldn't because it wasn't "ready". Remember, the mechanic had the keys with him in Mexico. So, after a week it was finally ready (enough) and I went to go do the paperwork. The guy, Chris, went to go "warm up" the car while I was signing the docs, and that already felt fishy to me. I drove the car around the block and no issues. I left the dealership with my newly-purchased car, and immediately started noticing that although the car wasn't "filthy", it CERTAINLY had not been detailed as Chris claimed. It was basically quickly wiped down by somebody, but there were tons of areas and stains that I had to clean myself. But that really is NOTHING compared to what came next...a half hour away from the dealer, the car started making HORRIBLE trembling/jerking motions at red lights and when idling and the check engine light came on with a variety of error messages, including traction control, which was terrifying. I wanted to take it back, but I simply did not have any more time to WASTE by returning the car to this crummy dealership, so I didn't. I knew I bought it "AS-IS" and if they had already penalized me my $800 in earnings, how much more money and time would I lose if their own "mechanic" would look at it? I took it to Martin Chevrolet instead and paid for a ridiculous $125 diagnostic...I had suspected it was a timing chain problem and yes, they confirmed it was in fact the timing chain, along with numerous other things having to do with the intake manifold and sensors. They wanted $2500+ to "begin" to repair it and they would not guarantee that it did not need more work afterwards. So I took it to my own mechanic. He was nice enough to fix the timing chain for "only" $1,000. (I know it is a big, hard, and dirty job, so I'm not mad at him at all.) So, finally, the car runs pretty well now, but it sounds pretty awful (like a tijuana taxi) and the check engine light still comes on ALL THE TIME with p0014 code. My mechanic still cannot figure out what that code is wanting us to do, and he has told me to just keep driving it for now, since it runs pretty well and gets acceptable gas mileage. Since I am driving for uber, I cannot have a check engine light flashing so I have to leave a piece of cardboard on the dash so that my clients don't see the light. In other words, this has been an ONGOING nightmare and I really regret my decision to trust this shady dealership. Stay away, friends. read more

But once you throw it in drive the car starts shaking cause of the 22s and there was a delay in the gears shifting from 1st to 2nd. The guy that went with me for the test drive tried to con me and saying that as long as it shifts between 2000 to 3000 rpm the transmission is good and needs a slight adjustment...... BULLSHIT!!!! IVE HAD 30 CARS IN MY LIFETIME AND I KNOW WHAT A CAR FEELS LIKE WHEN ITS ABOUT TO BREAK DOWN.
