I loved the original owners of this store. They were great guys, and the service was old fashioned. The new ownership expanded the inventory of items sold here to include grocery items, and considering I live just a block from here, it's very convenient. They have very low prices on eggs, and they sell cat litter, which comes in handy in a pinch when I can't get to the supermarket, for very good prices, as well. I often stop in to pick up prescriptions for my parents, and they are friendly and courteous. The hours are decent, and the store is open until around 6:30 most nights. The only thing I dislike is the new awning and sign they put up; it's gregarious, gaudy, loud, flashing, and ostentatious, not befitting the humility of our neighborhood. It frankly looks trashy and low class, not befitting my neighborhood (this type of sign looks more at home in a bad neighborhood in the ghetto, not Bensonhurst). read more
