My favorite Chinese buffet. Wide variety of foods including sushi, BBQ, soups, veggies, seafood, meats, etc. Can be very oily though. Would recommend trying the Mongolian grill as it's freshly made for you however you like it (very American). Staff are respectful and helpful. read more

Honestly, the food was mediocre at best, but what really ruined the experience was finding a live roach sitting on the ledge right next to our booth in the middle of our meal. We were so disgusted that we completely lost our appetites and couldn't even finish eating. What made the situation worse was how dismissive the staff were about it. There was barely an apology, and their initial solution was simply to move us to another booth, as if we were supposed to continue eating after finding a live roach inches away from where we were having our meal. I actually had to push for them to discount our bill because they didn't seem to understand why we shouldn't have to pay full price for food we couldn't finish due to a sanitation issue in their restaurant. The roach itself was bad enough, but the way the situation was handled made the experience significantly worse. read more

This buffet place covers all dishes & doesn't disappoint! Mind you, bc you have to experience the freshness of the sushi rolls to the fried side dishes. Our server was very friendly & kept our table clean & cleared. The dessert bar is always awesome from soft serve ice cream to a variety of different cakes & fruit snacks. Totally a great treat "EVERYTIME"! Our family loves it! read more

There are way better buffets to go to than here. Food was questionable, Im pretty sure I got a bad stomach ache after eating from here. Service is fine, ambiance is like any other Chinese buffet. I consistently saw flies and seen many sitting on food. Would not recommend. read more

When you first enter, I was thinking from the worn exterior that this might be a very sketchy place. However, it severely surprised me. First of, there are so many non vegetarian options it is impossible to not find one for you. The amount of juicy meats, different tops of meat, the different styles and ways they are prepared. The hibachi station is where they had fresh sushi that was very good. The staff are also friendly and courteous. However, there were a few negatives. The floor of the buffet is slippery in a few places. The way that raw chicken is stored at hibachi concerns me greatly as leaving it open is practically inviting salmonella. Also, the deserts. They had a chocolate fountain...and that's it. Every single other sweet was packaged. They were mediocre. Also has jelly and fruit. read more

Regal Buffet - Assorted sushi, fried shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Lewisville, Texas

This isn't too bad of a spot by Chinese buffet standards. It fills up quick and the fast service here keeps the food hot and fresh. We came on a weekend. The peel-and-eat shrimp stood out as did the garlic green beans. I had to get the requisite brown fried foods that you come here to scratch the itch for: dumplings, rolls, fried stuff. Not bad. The spring rolls were mushy inside which is always a turn off but the egg rolls were better. The dumplings tasted great and had that nice crisp side. The stir fry station is where it's at but I had this towards the end and was already feeling full by the time it was ready. The flavor was good and it had been expertly done. The ambiance here is nice and the place was clean. Luckily I rarely get the urge for Chinese buffet but I would come back if the urge struck. read more

Over all food quality. Came in on a weekend and their wasnt a very wide variety and to us all the food tasted the same.

This is a fabulous buffet, and the people who work here are friendly, and attentive, so just politely ask if you have a question about something. Highly recommended. read more

Best one I've been to in a long time in dfw. Clean and everything was cooked on point and hot.

One of the WORST Chinese buffets I've ever been to. There's little to no options despite a sign out front promoting "over 200 items" . The place smells SO BAD. Like mildew. Almost as if the soiled carpets were once wet and left to "dry". The curtains look disgusting and I didnt even want to sit by them. The service was okay, we didnt get any refills but she did clear the table from any dirty plates that were left. Everything that they DID have available on the buffet was extremely bland. No traditional, chinese buffet flavor that we're use to. If i couldve given this place 0 stars i wouldve. read more

Just took a trip to the regal buffet. I ate fried shrimp and crab, food was well cooked but didn't burn your tounge. Wait staff was quick and efficient, got me drinks on time. Unlike other restaurants, this place does not blast music far too load. Tables give plenty of space and the overall cost was literally less then Subway. 5/5 stars. Give it a try (but don't go on a holiday like I did, place was packed.) read more

I've passed this restaurant a thousand times while on the service road. I had to go to a retailer next door to Regal Buffet and decided it was time to stop in. I expected the place to be kinda worn and even more apprehensive about the food. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon entry and again after I was shown to my seat. The greeters and the waitress were pleasant. I washed my hands and the bathroom was neat and clean. The big surprise was the place is vast inside and there was no way I could traverse so many food offerings. All the food looked fresh and smelled delicious. I had to channel my focus to get started. I made two "growing boy" rounds of everything from wings, ribs, two kinds of broccoli, baked fish, shrimp pasta, salad and more! EVERYTHING was fresh and seasoned just "down the middle" so as not to put off the majority. The waitress was attentive. The atmosphere was lively but not noisy, with a huge cross section of the demographic. I give Regal Buffet a strong B+ for the location, ambiance, cleanliness and the awesome food!!! read more

Super conservative with Covid. Masks, gloves on when you go get food. Sushi was ok and the Mongolian grill was tasty good! Lots of selection for the price! I really used to love to go there because of the variety and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The customer service and the price was pretty decent. The past several times that I've gone the food is bland or they just taste mass produced like the sesame chicken, the orange chicken, for example, they just kind of taste like each other. The hot and sour soup is bland, not near as good as Joy Chinese cuisine in flower mound/ Highland village. They are very expensive now and that's probably because they serve a lot of seafood which I don't care for. I probably won't go back read more

Had lunch here yesterday. Nice and good location, traffic along the route is great. This place is busy on a Wednesday lunch hour. Nice and wide front entrance. Over five different sections of food stations plus a Hibachi station. Food is serve freshly cooked. I tried their Hibachi station and had a plate of shrimp, beef, chicken, eggs, veggies and egg noodle. It was well cooked but tasted bland. The Hibachi in training cook forgot to put soy sauce and condiments to my order. Lots of parking spaces. Serving staff are helpful and speak fluent English. Clean separate Men and Women's bathroom. TIP: Hot Tea is almost two dollars per person. Free refill. read more

Was perfectly happy with this buffet! Had never been before, but wanted to check it out. The staff was nice and prompt. The food was set out like normal, but they ask you to wear a mask when serving yourself, as well as use gloves and/or hand sanitizer before and after each refill. Felt safe and no worries there. read more

I've driven past several times, and my family finally tried it out last night. We loved it! I would go back for the Mongolian grill by itself. Other favorites were the coconut shrimp and the dumplings/potstickers. I wish there was a dipping sauce for the dumplings and egg rolls. My husband said the sushi was good not great- worth it to get it since it is there but wouldn't bring him back on its own. My daughter liked the chicken on a stick. I'll skip the orange chicken next time. The lo mein was overcooked and limp although seasoned well. We will likely be back here for a lunch or weekday visit. read more

They do have extra dishes for nights and weekends, so it's not just the same thing but priced differently, but if you don't care for seafood or ribs, then going there between Monday and Friday before 3pm would save you a few bucks (Friday after 3pm counts as the weekend). If you enter just before 3, they charge you lunch price, but you can't eat any of the dinner dishes, otherwise they'll charge you dinner price (they can tell 'cause the dinner dishes all have shells/bones), and they do have a sticker telling you which is for dinner only. Seniors and kids have discounts. Definitely one of the more tasting Chinese buffets out there. Their chicken dishes are all pretty good, and the chicken on a stick is one of my favorites. I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes their sweet melons taste off. All in all, still a pretty good buffet place. Does get pretty busy on holidays too. read more

I just realized I never yelped this place and I've been coming here for years . It's my go to Chinese food place . I've tried many others but this is the best . Now , I will say , there was a couple year period ,not long ago , where they really went down hill and I even stopped going for awhile . However , I'm glad to report , that for some time now their food is back up to snuff and tastes delicious ! Best chicken on a stick anywhere ! The atmosphere is typical of a Chinese buffet and the same goes for service . But their selection and food flavor , to me , sets them apart . If you've never been here you owe it to yourself to give this place a try ! read more

This is our go to place for a Buffet. Its busy on weekends and not much on weekday nights. Its $13.99 for dinner on weekdays Includes a Mongolian grill where you can choose your own raw protein and veggies and a sauce and its all cooked for you. Make sure you get the right number. Gloves are given to all attendees and its necessary so that food doesnt get slapped on your bare hand by accident. Its also hygenic Sushi is hit or miss, its not amazing but it does have more than 6-8 varieties its more than some larger competitive buffets Their prime rib is overcooked. Recommend not to try. Also their Ribs are also overcooked and tough meat. They put some sauce on it which blocks out the meat flavor. But thats expected as its an Asian buffet and non Asian food isnt expected to be great. Their Asian food is better, we tried the baked fish with cheese, fried spring rolls and their hot and sour soup is great. They also have mussels and peel and eat shrimp and cooked shrimp. Lo Mein, plain and fried rice staples are great. Dessert is tiramisu pieces, jello and choice of fruits. Overall this buffet gives better value and choice here than other buffets. read more

I've been coming here semi-regularly for the past two years. I tried sushi for the first time at Regal Buffet; it's not the best, but it's not the worst. Decently sized place. It's not too loud or noisy. They have a good a selection, with variety. The price is fair in my opinion. Staff is friendly, attentive but not overbearing. I'd recommend this place to anyone who's looking to feast. read more

Regal Buffet - Eating area - Chinese Near Me - Lewisville, Texas

I wasn't hungry much so I didn't order the buffet but just a pint of wonton soup which was AMAZING! If I return, I will update my review in regards to their large food selection. UPDATE: We came in on Friday night for the crab legs & buffet. The food was good, however if your main item for the night (crab legs) is what brings in customers you should make sure that item is out to eat at ALL times. People were lined up at the buffet waiting about 10-15mins just for someone to bring out a small bowl of crab legs. And once it was brought people piled up their plates just to make sure they wouldn't have to wait again. After about 2 people picking them up there just about nothing left. They need to insert a longer pan & keep it stocked. For a person who loves seafood, I was definitely disappointed in the replenishing actions. I most likely won't return as that's the main reason I came back on Friday night. read more

I recommend going on the weekends to ensure that your food is fresh and not stored in the fridge for the next day kind of deal. Sushi wasn't hard, foods were not sour, and all had decent seasoning to them. Loved the crab ragoons, hot tea, and plentiful sushi selection. Chicken dishes tasted like plastic, though. I'd stick to the seafood and the roasted beef (which was surprisingly well!). I haven't had food poisoning here which is awesome since I have a sensitive stomach. Wish they had more dessert selections that aren't 95% fruit. Service was well for a full house. TLDR: It's just what you would expect from an Asian buffet; adequate and edible foods and service. read more

This buffet is like your normal buffet, when we walked in we where greeted by a very friendly server and where seated within seconds of entering the restaurant. It is kept decently clean and has a wide selection of food choices. Decent food, for an unbeatable price! Decent is my choice of vocabulary because the food isn't the freshest or highest quality, but none the less still a filling meal and for $11.99 and all you can eat, you cant beat that! read more

Very impressed with their VARIETY and quality especially for what they charge. Been craving that sumptuous Chinese food that's slightly unhealthy, corn-starchy, MSG-free (they say it is but it's so addictive) with grandiose variety and SMITE ME FOR TOTAL INDULGENCE - I got that and more!! They advertise 200 dishes and I believe it! SUSHI*CHINESE FOOD*MONGOLIAN BBQ*SALAD BAR*SOUPS*SEAFOOD GALORE*DESSERT BAR Kind servers who pick up plates promptly, clean counters at the buffet line, everything is continuously being refilled, even things on ice taste fresh. Suggest you eat all your calories in the savory, the desserts were ok but not really great (but IMO who needs em' with so much other stuff). Mongolian BBQ was underwhelming, maybe I didn't make it nicely (proportions of veggies and sauce). Everything else to die for! Ensure you come with an appetite to get MORE than your money's worth. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

I've eaten here on a few occasions and at times the food has been pretty good, and other times, not so much. During my most recent visit nothing seemed particularly fresh (e.g. a lot of the seafood had an overly fishy taste and the spring rolls were dry and chewy) even though the staff was refilling and topping up food the entire time. This place has the potential to be much better, if only the quality was more consistent. As a result, I would say that it's slightly below average in comparison to other Chinese buffets. read more

Regal buffet is a good buffet. It would be hard for me to give any buffet more than three stars as the truth be told the food is average at best, but I believe to be true of all buffets, but I will say they have a great selection where there is something for everybody. It is very clean and good service. read more

Ok, first this is a huge buffet but there are a few things you need to know- 1. The main seasoning is SUGAR. Literally everything is sweet, very little is savory. 2. There are a LOT of fried foods here and, 3. There are few vegetables in the cooked section- broccoli, onions, green beans, and a few green peppers. The rest is fried meat, noodles, rice, starch, starch and more starch. Other than that its a great buffet. Just know what you are walking into. read more

First time here. Service was good. Nice selection of dishes. Good salad bar with some choices not found in many places, like whole black and green olives. I almost forgot to mention the sushi bar. I didn't try any this time around, but next time I'll give it a go. Hot & Sour soup was bland, but Egg Drop was good. I tried about half of the dishes, but none of them were seafood (which they have), most were chicken. This is also one of the few places I've found that serve Kimchi. One of my favorite high-fiber, low-fat things to eat. It's basically spicy fermented cabbage. As a side, most grocery stores carry jars of Kimchi and there are studies that seem to show fermented cabbage may prevent the growth of cancer. I've read that Koreans eat about 40 pounds per person per year... try some you might like it... remember, it is usually spicy. One unique thing is the Mongolian section where you fill your bowl with uncooked items (much like the Genghis Grill) and they cook for you. Nice touch. Over-all better than average even though they had no hot green tea. I only gave this place 3 stars and not 4 because the food is a little better than average, but not worth 4 stars. I will eat here again and I will mention that the price of a lunch is a few dollars better than a lot of places that don't have this nice of a selection. read more
