In truth I would like this to be a 5-star review but I cannot do it...paying $20 per person and $7+ for hot dogs is perhaps the movie theater standard, but making me watch 25 minutes of commercials which are not movie previews is unacceptable. read more

Here's a simple update to my earlier review. It's a very nice theater, but it's still disappointing that they now offer Pepsi products. I think I spent my whole life going to the movies and enjoying popcorn and a Coke. Being offered only Pepsi makes me feel like I'm dining at Taco Bell or KFC. A really good theater located inside the Avalon mall. It has so many screens with comfortable recliner seats & clean bathrooms. Staff are very polite and helpful. It's pretty safe to visit during late night shows too. My favorite part is that it's located just next to a peaceful seating area with a gorgeous fountain, so great for passing time before and after the movie. read more

We entered the theater and immediately jumped in the food line. They did not have a full menu, mostly the usual concessions with a few "light" options like nachos and pizza. We were a group of four, so we grabbed a couple of slushes, popcorn, a pizza, and some candy. The small drinks were huge and the final price tag for everything was pretty high, but I guess that is expected in theaters today. There's also a full bar, and I ordered a Creature Comforts Tropicália. We made our way over to our movie theater and hunted down our assigned seats. The reclining seats were comfortable, and the theater itself was spotless. Wifey and I started digging in on the pizza and it was clearly pre-made and heated in a microwave, not freshly prepared, but it did the job. This place scares me..I will definitely be going to AMC instead. Walking in It was very overcrowded and overwhelming feeling there were tons of people there and it was also pretty small. It took us a while to get our drinks and popcorn. The popcorn tasted off and a bit stale. I also felt rushed to pick something on the menu. So then walking to our theatre we couldn't get in because they were trying to clean it and we waited outside for at least 10 minutes. Then getting in I was confused on why they took so long to "clean" it because the theater was so disgusting..they're was mold in my cup holder, grease on the seats, popcorn everywhere, a cup with a weird substance inside, and they're were stains on the wall and bugs flying around. I was genuinely disappointed and disgusted I didn't even wanna sit down. So we got a cleaner to try cleaning out the cupholder and he wiped it and it didn't do anything and he said to us "It's just old" THEN REPLACE IT PLEASE. It was so gross and I had to shine a light to see everything. You're better off going to an AMC because the theatre I went to is not okay.. read more

We have been here a few times and have enjoyed it. Being at the Avalon, parking can be difficult sometimes and you aren't likely to be near the theater entrance. That said, it is a great location to do dinner beforehand (this is NOT a dine-in theater) or other errands. Make it a one stop shop. The staff is friendly and I have found the theater (in the common areas, bathrooms, and inside the actual theaters) fairly clean. Now for the inside of the theaters themselves, they could use a little updating. The seats do recline to a comfortable level, but the upholstery is cracked on many of the seats. Does it effect your viewing pleasure, probably not, but a nice touch would be to update. The sound is great and depending on the theater your movie in playing in, the screens are big. read more

I've been to this Regal theater a number of times over the years. This theater is pretty large and has a pretty big selection of movies to choose from. They are located in Avalon near the fountain. We came here recently and the seats were really worn out in the theater we were in. I think it's time to get them replaced. I do like the recliner seats. The ones here have always been pretty comfy. The sound system and screen is still very good here but it's definitely time for a refresh on the reclining seats. The popcorn was fresh and tasty! read more

Regal is alright, but there are so many better movie theatres. For the very high ticket prices and being located in Avalon, the experience should be much better. I visited here to watch Argyle and was annoyed because they only have Pepsi products. Why in 2024 are we still not serving Coke products in a so-called upscale theatre? The theatre itself was clearly not very new and the leather on the seats was very tattered and ripped. The chairs were comfy, though, despite their appearance and did recline. The movie was fun but SO LOUD. I usually don't get bothered by noise but was literally having my ear drums blasted out of my head. Overall, I definitely recommend going to a different movie theatre but if you want to come here be sure to bring your earplugs and sneak in your drink! read more

Cup holder have seen better and cleaner days and tons of crumbs in seats. restrooms are gross as well with most stalls with no tissue. It's been along time since I've been to a movie theater. Tonight was a good night for the premier of Violet night for the holidays. I've always been a movie buff growing up as a kid watching classic movies with the family so this movie I had to go see. Walking into the Regal Cinema for the first time I was definitely impressed with the customer service and the cleanliness of the building. Purchasing my tickets on my app made the process very easy along with accruing points for all purchases even my popcorn. Watching this movie definitely had me reminiscing about amazing holiday movies such as home alone, which is one of my favorites, but on an adult level. It's action packed full of comedy, which had me laughing loudly in the theater. I say adults only because there may be some things that can be sensitive to younger children. Laughing and crying for most of the movie really made you believe in Santa Claus, in the spirit of giving and Christmas. That's what the movie was all about. Overall, my experience was amazing from the customer service to the movie. I definitely recommend you go, see violet night for the holiday season. Make sure you watch the preview before you go to the theaters so you can get an idea of what the movie is about. read more

Cool theater, a lil bit small though but that's not a bad thing. They have Cheetos popcorn, not sure what that is but sounds interesting. They don't have salsa for their nachos, that was a lil disappointing for me but it's a preference thing (it wasn't that they were out; they just don't have salsa with their nachos). The nachos are still good though, something about that artificial cheese and the warmed bag of Tostitos chips that just tastes so right. The seat I had wasn't worn down, and the auditorium seemed clean. My experiences here was pretty good. read more

We saw Barbie the Movie at this theatre. Many times available. Choose the 12:10 show. Very comfortable seats, excellent sound and huge screen. The Barbie photo op in the lobby was very nice! A little long for kids to take on the movie trailers (25 min) for new movies coming out in Nov-Dec. read more

The seating is now completing redone in a black leather type material and it all looks fantastic. This regal location is probably my second favorite in the Atlanta metro area. The biggest thing it has going for it is variety of films available. This location tends to get a couple of small release films at a time, and is often the only location where you can catch certain features. Concession variety is better than normal here, with a full service bar and some additional food items. Theatre seating is pretty comfy "couch" seats that can be divided to individual chairs. read more

**Do NOT come here** I wouldn't watch another movie here if you paid me. Is this a theatre for rats? I had to take another shower after the movie because the seats were so dirty. When we walked in, we noticed the entire room and seats hadn't been cleaned. There was popcorn everywhere, coke sprayed on to the seats and dirty napkins in the cupholders. When I let the ticket scanner guy know, he said he'd send someone to clean the floors. The cleaner walks in with a broom, walks up and down the aisle, and leaves. He even looked down our aisle, saw popcorn everywhere and did nothing. Wtf? We waited in line for food for 10 minutes despite having only two couples ahead of us. The 'cook' apparently wasn't there so they weren't serving any hot foods. The leather on the seats and the tables are literally falling apart. Yet another clown show theatre in the Atlanta area. For the love of god do not visit this place. read more

Reclining seats and tables inside Theatre 8, Row H. were peeling and in terrible condition. I have never had this experience at other Regal locations and was so surprised by the dilapidated conditions, especially given the Avalon location. Price of movie tickets are high ($78 for family of 4 for a matinee) and this should not be the experience. Regal needs to do a better job of maintaining their facilities to meet standards. Very nice theater, but very expensive...even for a matinee movie ($15 per adult)! The seats are really nice (electronic reclining) and the isles are quite spacious. The theater was clean and staff friendly and helpful, in the box office and concessions. Tried the Cheetos popcorn (one size available) and loved it! I've never seen that available at the theaters in my home town. Not sure I would come here for every movie, but ones that are better on the big screen are worth it! Located at the Avalon shopping mall, so plenty of parking garage spaces are available. read more

I started going to this theater when it was new because of the reclining seats. Now those seats are so worn out and the tray tables are getting messed up as well. Also it's not as clean as it should be. I've had used mustard packets in the cup holder. They need to redo the chairs in the theater. For $20 a ticket should be nicer. It used to be really nice. Either they are being cheap or no one cares. I can't imagine if anyone from corporate came in and saw this that they would be like this is ok. read more

You pay $7 for a slushy that costs then less than a $1 to make... but that's not all they don't too it off and they give it to you with a terrible attitude... I won't be coming back. That's for sure, and I recommend you don't either. read more

Came to the theater to watch an evening showing of Poor Things. I would say this is probably one of the worst theaters I have been to in a very long time. There were no technical issues with the actual viewing of the movie or the crowd which is why I left some starts. But Overall: The seats were in really bad condition, basically the leather is falling apart and the cup holders were quite gross. We had several flying bugs surrounding us and our snacks throughout the entire movie. Food and drinks are overpriced which is typical for most movies but the nacho cheese tasted watery and the chips tasted a bit stale. I probably would not come here again next time I visit Atlanta. read more

One of our favorite movie theaters to go to. The staff is always friendly and nice. We always make sure we get a bucket of popcorn with layered butter of course and a large cup of blueberry icee. We are part of the regal crown club which allows us to rack up points when we buy movie tickets and concession items. We were able to use our points for dollar amounts off our concessions and even free movie tickets. We also have the ease of not carrying a card around as we downloaded the app on our phone for easy access. The reason why I didn't give it a 5 star is because of all the time we have been going, the theaters aren't always the cleanest. I always make a point to grab extra napkins before going in. This past time we went to watch the Avengers Endgame, there were popcorn all over the seats, the tables were sticky, and the armrest was oily from people's hands. I had to wipe all of it down first, hence grabbing the extra napkins. I would really prefer not to sit on popcorn, have my hand sticky, and get oily stains on my clothes. read more

Outside of it being at the Avalon which is cute enough, everything about this theater is not worth the $40 (tickets) $20 wine, and $45 worth of food (pepperoni pizza, cheese sticks, a hot dog and 2 bottles of water). They were out of almost all our original food options, took over 15 minutes to get us our food and once we sat down in our seats the leather was torn off the sides, and the tables were also a mess. And to top all of it off, my seat did not recline. Save yourselves the trouble and head to the AMC. read more

This used to be a nice place. Regal is located right in the middle of Avalon, an upscale mall. One of the first theaters in our area that had the large comfortable recliners. Fast forward a few years and the pleather on the reclining seats is in bad condition. Seats and table tops not so clean. Whatever you do, don't stick your fingers between the seat cushion and arm rest if you drop something. I hope they plan to renovate soon, as it is a great location. read more

My last review was spot on and gave it One star on Google, Well let's update this as they have made some great improvements in staff! And are in the midst of replacing and or repairing the seat covers. Great improvement on the service at the snack bar. Still need to spend some time on training and policing the bathrooms. It's not totally the staff that is responsible for the people in this society that can not throw paper in the trash, but would rather throw it on the floor in an act of proving they were not raised right and their parents were more interested in anything other than teaching values to their children.
