There is a full menu of options like ballpark chicken nachos, bbq brisket and jalapeño tots, pepperoni honey hot pizza, cheese sticks, wraps, full on pasta dishes with shrimp.., seriously this place has you strapping on the feed bag! Now look this is not a Michelin star location but the food is pretty good. Service is very good... press a button and a few seconds later, ok maybe minutes, you server is there. Yes they also have the norms... popcorn, candy (but the selection is limited), soda and such, Be prepared though... the cost is not cheap! Studio Movie Grill is one of my favorite places to go catch a new movie and grab a bite! It is located in Mansell Crossing and offers plenty of parking. My husband and I always go in on $5 Tuesdays and ensure to grab an adult beverage as well as a dinner option. You are able to purchase your tickets/seats ahead of time using the SMG app on your phone or online. Creating an account allows you to start earning rewards for both ticket purchases and food/snacks. Upon arriving, there is a bar area on your right prior to entering the theaters. The interior is clean and the vibe gives off "here for a good time." We've tried plenty of items off of their food menu, but on this occasion I wasn't too hungry and ordered chicken tenders off the kids menu. Paired with my beer, it KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF! I always receive the BEST service here and am always anticipating the my next visit. read more

My parents were in town and we decided to go see Superman! We mostly had great experience. The facility was very clean, the servers were prompt and attentive, and our food was delivered quickly and exactly as ordered -- which we really appreciated. It's clear that the staff takes pride in maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment. However, we did have an unfortunate interaction with a manager named Richard Ricar that really impacted our visit. My husband politely asked for a refill on a slushie, and instead of offering a courteous explanation, the manager responded in a way that was rude, condescending, and dismissive. What made it especially disappointing is that my husband has over 20 years of experience in hospitality and actively trains others on excellent guest service and management. Respectful communication is key. Sadly, that professionalism was not demonstrated here, and it left a bad taste in our mouth after an otherwise enjoyable experience. We hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the rest of the team was truly great. A little more training in customer interaction would go a long way in ensuring all guests leave with a positive impression, maybe my husband can help (wink). read more

I was a bit let down by this location. I haven't been to a SMG in over 5 years. When I lived here, I would frequent the Holcomb Bridge location whenever I got a chance. That location is sadly closed since Covid. I was warned that this venue was once an AMC that closed down. Expectations were set high because it's near North Point Mall. Upon arrival, we got the glitz of that very familiar front of the store. Very reminiscent of other locations. As we walked in we got a glimpse of the bar/seated section. It looked the part. Very warm and welcoming. It's gave that old Hollywood glam. My disappointment set in when we walked into a leveled seating arrangement. Where is the stadium seating? The seats were ultra comfortable but we were disappointed it wasn't stadium seating. The staff was top notch! Food came straight from the kitchen piping hot! That made the experience better. The restrooms MUST be renovated! The tile flooring was discolored and gave a dirty appeal. The toilets themselves were also discolored and gave an unkept look. The sinks were new though. Maybe they are in the process of renovating. I pray this is the case. I would certainly visit again so that I could update this review with all the things that have improved. #ashsaidit read more

I attempted to speak with the general manager, Rich Picard, regarding a very frustrating experience during my recent visit, and unfortunately, the conversation made things even worse. While I understand that occasional hiccups happen, tonight was especially disappointing. I ordered the 2 for $30 deal. While the appetizer came out quickly, the main courses, chicken tenders with fries and a chicken quesadilla, took over 30 minutes to arrive. As someone who works in hospitality, I can tell when something has simply been forgotten. This wasn't about timing it was neglect. What truly pushed this experience from frustrating to unacceptable was the behavior of Rich Picard. When I calmly tried to share what happened, he repeatedly talked over me, was dismissive, and flat-out refused to provide contact information for anyone above him. Rather than listening and acknowledging my concerns, he chose to shut the conversation down completely. I wasn't looking for a refund I just wanted to be heard. What was meant to be a simple outing with my child turned into a discouraging evening due to a manager who showed no empathy or professionalism. Sadly, this interaction made it clear that guest experience is not valued here. I'm sharing this not out of spite, but because customers deserve to be treated with basic respect and I'm no longer willing to support businesses that fail to do that. read more

Terrible service. My brother and I came to the special needs screening to see Wicked For Good. My brother is in a wheelchair and we were struggling terribly to find proper accommodation. It was the other customers and guests who helped while the manager stood by and watched. The manager could not even help with the door. It was a customer who did. What they did with the old AMC is short of miraculous. It's wonderful to see that old eyesore removed and replaced with this beautiful, new place. If you're early, there's a full bar with specialized cocktails and comfortable seats to accommodate. The theaters aren't your mind-blowing IMAX style, but it's still pretty good with a sound system that will get the walls vibrating. If you're familiar with older SMGs, the old office seat concept is gone, replaced with seats that feel like first-class airplane seat comfortable with a great recline pitch that lets you see the screen comfortably. I was pretty surprised at how good the food was as well as reasonably priced. I'd have posted a picture of my burger and beer, but it was pretty dark by the time it arrived. Overall, this new SMG tops my list for favorite movie+dining experience. read more

The ticket taker was helpful, nice lady in the hall, to help us find our theatre. 20 mins of Previews. Very comfortable soft recliner chairs. Ordered a chocolate shake with Oreos on top & fries. The shake was good. 4 stars because the fries were soggy, and there was no soap in the 3 sinks - ladies bathroom. Otherwise a very nice experience. The staff was nice, but the seats and trays were dirty and sticky when we got to our seats. We asked for wet wipes and were told they would come wipe them but never did. Our popcorn came with no napkins, so I went and got a paper towel from the bathroom. Then our entrees came with no utensils or napkins. I stopped someone to ask for some. She had napkins and one roll of silverware. She handed me one roll of silverware and one napkin for Me although there were 3 of us with 3 entrees. Only when I specifically asked if they could have some too she gave them each one napkin but never silverware. It was so weird. Also, before I ordered the chicken tenders I asked if they were frozen and was told no. It was obvious they were frozen and they were almost all bread. For 3 people we spent over $100 for food after tip and had to beg for condiments and napkins and were only given utensils for one person. read more

I was excited to check this place out. My sister and I have been traveling to Alpharetta regularly for family, and this seemed similar to the Alamo Drafthouse where I live. Unfortunately, this place has so much potential but I have to knock off 2 stars for a glaring issue... the servers have to talk to you to take your order during the movie. In other words, if the people next to you decide to push their call button during an important scene, you're unfortunately going to hear what they want on their pizza instead of hearing whatever is happening in the movie. Tons of cool cocktail options, decent food, good service, decent prices... should be 5 stars. But if I would be better off going to a normal theater just to hear the actual movie then none of that matters. At Alamo there is pen and paper provided to write down what you want before you hit the call button. If this theater did the same it would be 5 stars for sure. Any option to enable silent ordering would work. If you just want a fun movie night and don't care very much about the actual movie, then this is a great place to check out. If you don't want to be disturbed, skip this place and go to something like AMC. read more

One of our first theater experiences back since before the pandemic and it was amazing. The theater is beautifully decorated inside and looks upscale. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! You have the option to order food and drinks upon arrival or once you have sat down in the theater. The seats are extremely comfortable and the entire place is very clean/new! The food is pretty darn good. We ordered the nachos, pizza, and chicken tenders. Everything came out piping hot and was made fresh to order. The portions are generous as well. The breading on the chicken tenders was a bit thick. The meat lovers pizza was great, they did not skimp on the toppings. It had a nice crust to it. One thing to note, on the menu the kids pizza listed it came with a choice of beverage and a cookie. Initially the server said nothing came with the kids menu items even after I showed her the online menu. I asked her to double check, and she came back and said only the cookie was included. Not a big deal but either the menu wasn't accurate/updated or the staff didn't know. Regardless, I will be a regular here. Tonight, we came here for our first dining movie experience. We ordered food before the previews started. We ordered drinks & entrees and said we may order dessert a little while later. Our server said "oh, you can place the order now and we'll place a 40 minute hold so you will get it after you meal". Our food didn't come out until 30+ minutes later. We were the only ones in the theater for the later showing & didn't understand why it took so long. The Avocado Flatbread & Buffalo Chicken Chips were fine but the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was heavily overcooked. When I took the bun off the top, I discovered part of it was burned. I decided not to send it back, as it took so long to come out in the first place. 5 minutes after we received the food, the desserts came out. We had to use the seat trays next to us to place the Brownie Sundae & Beignets for room. I like thus location over the other ones. It's recently new for starters, there seats are recliner ( super plus), and the drinks be on point. You get to enjoy your new favorite movie in luxury!!! January 15, 2022 is the opening day for SMG Alpharetta at its new location in the Mansell Crossing shopping plaza. This used to be an AMC theater but it's newly renovated in SMG fashion. There's parking in front of the theater as well as the back. The inside is really nice! I like live movie wall in the lobby! This location is much better than the other one because it's right off of GA-400 and can be accessed easier. You can preorder food and drinks on the SMG app or online so that when you get to the theater you're already set and you can do the same when you get to the theater. As always, you can wait until you get to your seat, press the button and have someone manually take your order as well. There is a QR code on the tray table to bring up the menu on your phone. If they have paper menu's, you'd have to request one. An 18% service charge will automatically be added to your check. Every employee in your path welcomed you and said hello, which was so nice! Little things like this make guests feel appreciated and that goes a long way when we're supporting a business during a pandemic! KEEP THIS UP! Upon finding my reclining seat, which in my theater, I believe all the seats reclined, I was surprised how far back the seat went! The seats aren't as wide as some other theaters but are very comfortable nonetheless. I ordered one of my usuals, coconut chicken tenders and fries with a Pepsi. FYI: Today, they are out of some food items, including liquor due to supply chain issues that the U.S. is facing and hope to have their liquor on Tuesday (after the MLK holiday). One of my biggest gripes is SMG serves FLAT OR NEARLY FLAT SODA!! Unless I'm getting the strawberry lemonade, which they're out of, I'm always DISAPPOINTED with the soda. FIX THIS!
