My dad had a terrible experience with this place. He bought a very expensive trailer outright! They delivered it with problems--the fuses pop every time he turns on the lights. There are also things damaged from transportation. I would expect that a brand-new $70,000 trailer would be thoroughly checked to ensure it was in perfect working condition. Now, to get it fixed, they want him to pay $300 to pick it up, even though it should have been in perfect working condition. This place is a joke. I wouldn't buy your trailer from here. They claim to be a "family," but as soon as they have your money, they don't want anything to do with you anymore. The right thing to do would be to waive the fees so that your "family" is happy with their trailer. Instead, they want people to spend more money on their mobile service. We purchased our 2026 Puma Grand Mesa from Tony and Referral Auto Group, and I honestly have to say that everyone that works there from Top to Bottom is A-One. Tony was in constant communication with us during the entire build and delivery process. We haven't purchased a truck so he had it delivered to our location. Tony at referral auto group is truly the man! He seems to know a considerable amount more than most. I had an issue with my gooseneck 5th Wheel companion hitch having play up and down of about a quarter inch where it attaches to the bed. Any play there is bad. But I was able to make it move up and down about a quarter inch with just one hand pulling up on it. I just bought this truck. And I am amazed at the lack of forethought from the factory on the puck system in the new 2020 GMC 3500 HD. First of all the center weight is positioned from the factory 6 inches behind the rear axle as it's factory mount spot. Not going to go and all that frustration, that's not the point of this review. I took the truck and hitch to both the GMC dealership and the trailer dealership that sold me the hitch originally as well as five other places, and nobody could figure out any answers or how to fix it. The GMC dealership even called the manufacturer and the manufacturer didn't have an answer for it either (other than "that's how the factory sets it, it should be fine. We haven't had any complaints.") I went to Tony this morning thinking I'll give one more person a shot at seeing if we could figure this out before I have to go pick up my trailer. Within five minutes Tony not only figured out the problem, but I had also made a call to a relationship and found the fix. It was only $200 and a 15 minute drive away. Thank you Tony for getting a frustrating situation handled professionally quickly and correctly. Let me tell you something about this great business and amazing owner, Tony. My wife and I purchased an rv to do some traveling. Three weeks after purchasing our rv, my wife came to me with great news. I am going to be a daddy. My first thought was oh my god. I am super excited to be a dad, followed by, but what about our plans to travel and enjoy our newly purchased rv? Well I hope you all are on the same page. We ended up going thru with becoming parents, but the rv ended up not getting used as we had planned. We put our rv in storage until the day we decided to sell. With all the non sense people out there trying to offer $800-1000 for a blue book valued rv at $45,000, this ordeal was becoming a nightmare. Then Tony came into our lives. You NEED to read this review to understand their level of service... Skip to "Review" (below) if you don't want to read the context of their level of service... Background: I bought a Travel Lite trailer from another dealer just under 2 years prior to reaching out to Referral Auto Group. I was out boondocking on BLM land and I noticed a crack in my fresh water tank. I reached out to my dealer for service and quote to replace the tank. They didn't return my call. After returning from my trip a month later on a Sunday afternoon, I reached out to my dealer for service... again, only to leave a message to call me back. Throughout the day, I called multiple service departments from other dealers and mobile mechanics to get quotes and other ideas of how to fix/replace it. In all cases, the dealerships would not work with me if I didn't buy my trailer from them. Some told me, they no longer supported the manufacturer also. Eventually, I got the same information from my dealer... because I called my dealer back for the fourth time. The only people who called me back were mobile mechanics, but only to get additional information, but they never called back with what information I was looking for or promised. It became evident that getting service and a possible OEM tank replacement for my trailer would be difficult. Eventually I got a quote from my dealer and the quote was astronomical. Not only was it difficult to find a service department to help me (including the dealership I bought the trailer from), no one could provide me a reasonable solution. The exception was Christie from Referral Auto Group... Christie answered the phone on that Sunday and we discussed my issue. She was willing to help, but since the call was on a Sunday she stated she had to call me back the following Tuesday. "Yeah right..." I thought. As promised, not only did Christie call back, she called back with actual information. She provided me background on the manufacturer and also stated she could get an OEM tank. This was the first time a service department was willing to provide me service and give me an actual quote. Not only that, the cost was actually reasonable. Eventually it ended being a fraction of my dealership cost for a replacement. It was important to me to write the background of my issue so people understand context of how difficult it was to get any service department to commit to help. My dealership was flaky at best. Most dealerships were simply not willing to help since I didn't purchase my trailer from them. Mobile service was undependable and difficult to nail them down on time/cost estimates. You really take notice when a company calls you back and provides you the info you requested the FIRST TIME you ask for it. You'll also notice that they don't always refer to this company as Referral Auto Group... they're referred to as "Christie" and "Tony". That's the level of customer service you get with these guys. You forget you're actually there for service or a purchase. Review: Christie from Referral Auto Group, ordered my part when every other dealer or service department stated they couldn't/wouldn't. Unfortunately, manufacturer sent the wrong tank and created a delay. Christie and Tony escalated the issue. During this delay, both kept me in constant communication on the status, including calling me at least once a week and/or emailing me. During this time, I asked them to research changing out my converter charger. Tony did some research and offered me the best option for my set up. He provided me the info so I could do my own research and he was spot-on with the product I was looking for. Needless to say, I requested them to order it and install it alongside my tank replacement. Installation was done well and even reinforced my tank to help avoid having the same issue. (Note: There may have been a design flaw that caused the crack. He advised additional reinforcement on the bottom to be sure.) Installation for both service requests did not take long and was available for me to pick up when promised. Pricing for service is not the cheapest or the most expensive. What you get is the exceptional customer service and service. Get you what you need and deliver what was promised. They even accommodated me every step of the way including the onset of the COVID-19, where I was able pay them without the need to go into the office and let me pick up my trailer before everything shut down. Overall, I would recommend Referral Auto Group just on the basis of their amazing customer service. If I ever need service or upgrade my RV I would reach out to these guys first, knowing they would support my purchase and not leave me hanging like my dealership did. He called around and no one could fit him in on such short notice (understandably so) We then heard, from a friend, about this place. Score, my husband got a great deal on the part and they had great hourly rates. We saw an ad they had placed on Facebook and checked out their website. The trailer we were interested in seemed to good to be true. We decided to drive to Escalon and check it out. We were so glad we did! Christie showed us nearly every trailer they had that met our needs. She told us she wasn't normally the person who showed the trailers. She does the paperwork part of the business but she did great for us and when we asked a question she didn't know, she found out for us. We had an issue with our bank not understanding the price because the "book" they use seemed to be off by several thousand. We bought a new fifth wheel from Referral Auto Group in Escalon . We had been to Manteca, Turlock, and Sacramento but circled back to Escalon because of quality of the trailer and the no pressure friendly atmosphere of the place. They spent about an hour with us and at no time were we pressured . My truck was in the shop so the owner delivered the trailer to my house in Valley Springs. I had a two hour walk through with a technician and at the end he told me to call them with any questions and they would walk me through them. The owner told me the same thing. Our RV was having a problem with the jacks and the motor. We bought a new motor and we put it in ourselves was not hard we got the jacks working, and one of the jacks fell off. We brought it into referral auto group and their bid to us was $1400 for a new motor and new jacks. We explain to them that was a brand new motor. We did not need a motor just the jacks. They told us they could not buy just the jacks separately it had to be a set the motor and the jacks, I disagreed she said they cannot purchase from just anybody. It Hass to be a certain company and that company does not sell just the jacks for that motor that we had. I did some checking on my own and I found yes you can buy the jacks for that motor when I called her back she explain to me that yes oh I'm sorry I just checked and found out that company was sold, and the company it was sold to we can buy from. So now instead of $1400 is still $800. I said for just the jacks well and two hours of labor. I'm not quite sure who gets $200 an hour for labor I know I don't. When we went to pick it up lo and behold oh it's so broken down we can't get it on your pick up to take home It's very dangerous so now they have left us with basically no choice but for them to fix it. And by the way, it was going to cost us $200 anyway just to have a look at it. Well they have me between a rock and a hard place And I can't say that I completely trust them. I don't trust them, but they have us to where we have no choice I would not recommend this place and I will never go there again. read more
