This place is a scam. They advertise trailers that they already sold or never even had. I went to look at the model pictured below and was told that it had sold. I asked why it was still on their website and they said because the customer had just taken delivery 1-2 days before I was there. They actually had 2 of the same model and said the other sold and took delivery 1-2 days prior. 3 weeks later and both are still being shown as new arrivals on their webpage. If the price is too goo to be true, it's because they don't have it! A goggle internet search shows the same exact image for the same RV for sale in Alberta.

Service guys are nice but also make a lot of excuses for crappy products that they sell! I bought a brand new 2026 highland ridge and it has spent more time in the shop then with me. I paid a lot of money upfront for an inspection that I was told would completely go through the camper to make sure it was all good to go. However it is now in the shop having an entire wall rebuilt because it was not manufactured properly. Like a whole wall on a brand new piece of equipment. It's had leaks, it's had molding fall off, it's had minor things but a whole wall? I've asked of if I can get my inspection fees reimbursed but am told I need to contact sales or financing... like why do I need to make a bunch of calls when you can throw a pen to the sales guys desk??? The office is Small. Whenever I ask why all this is happening I'm just about the crappy California road and how my camper is an earth quake on wheels. However I'm pretty sure it has wheels for a reason!!!!! It's suppose to go down the road. Good thing gmc doesn't use those excuses no one would buy their trucks. My advice.... Don't buy new! It's not worth it. Or maybe just don't buy highland ridge! In no world is it ok to buy brand new stuff that then needs to be rebuilt, and all you get is a bunch of lame excuses but no compensation!

On our first visit we met April, who gave us plenty of space to look around without bothering us. When we were ready, she walked around with us, showing us options that met our criteria, and patiently answered all our questions. We weren't ready to buy, and when we communicated that, she understood. A couple of weeks later, after thinking through the different choices, we came back. April was by then on maternity leave, so we worked with Briana, who was equally friendly, knowledgable, and low-key. The transaction was smooth and painless. No last minute charges, no pressure to buy extended warranty (though one was available if we wanted it). We arranged for financing with our credit union, and that was fine, too (no pressure to take financing through the dealer). On the day we arrived for pick-up, they had cleaned and prepped the trailer, and Luis gave us a thorough walk through, making sure we understood how everything worked, from the smart hitch to the a/c to the slide-out & etc. We had been to another, big RV dealership months earlier, and were so traumatized by the high pressure sales tactics and endless (endless!!!) "follow-up" phone calls that we were paranoid about shopping again, but we had heard good things about Family RV, so we took a chance. Glad we did! I highly recommend this place; we would definitely buy there again.

The office folks continue to try and skew and bend the truth. Side maker lights work was never approved or requested which is documented in email. Damage happened twice on my rig at this shop. Once was covered and fixed, the second damage occurrence, they are denying responsibility. I also paid for all this work far in advance of it being done, in full, which was my mistake, clearly. We are now in small claims court unfortunately due to the company's inability to stand up and do what's right. I think this all started due to the employee we started with Ron who is no longer working there. Originally contacted Family RV to make a 7pin pig tail for our Lance truck camper. That pig tail wasn't done right or something happened to it, intermitent issues with turn signals and brake lights. Decided to take the entire rig in for service to get a new furnace and some electrical work done. New furnace is great, they did work I did not ask for or approve and charged me for it. The rig also was damaged while in their care, exterior was hit and punctured a pretty good hole in the front of the camper. They provided us with a free rental since we had planned to use our RV. That rental's slide out stopped operating at the RV park... They couldn't find the short for the electrical work I asked for... Short story 5800 dollars, a new furnace, repaired damage caused at their shop, the same short, and a new pig tail. We are now in small claims court to get some of the money back for the work that I didn't ask to be done and electrical work that was never identified or fixed. Will definitely not be going back here again.

Issues started immediately. I was asked if I have used an RV before, my response was no, never. The instructions were virtually none. We were learning on the job! We discovered the inboard generator did not work so they opted to provide a generator. Not exactly what we paid for but feasible. We noted the stereo and back up camera (all in one unit) did not work. No major deal we'll have the kids look out the back window in case we needed to back up. Played music on our bluetooth speaker we brought with us. Ok, we drove to our campground and set up our site. After getting set up, we had to figure out how to turn on lights. We found a rocker switch and it turned on battery power. Once we turned on battery power the stereo system and backup light made a horrific noise. Reman thought we had a poltergeist in the camper. We turned off the battery power and we're in the dark. This is so much fun. We use flashlights we brought with us but we could not use the generator because it was after 8 PM. good thing our friends made dinner that night because we could not l turn on any lights without having a loud noise to go through the whole camper. Day 2: The black water indicator says full. The technician at the yard told me theres a short in the system and it always reads 3/4 full. Well it hit full ttoday after using the toilet a couple of times. We had to reload the generator and dump the tank. Turns out the tank was full despite the effed up indicator. The rv was supposed to be empty. Had to pay to dump someone's else shit. Back at camp I looked for a fuse to disconnect the radio. I called Randy and told him what the problem was. He said do what you need to do so that the noise goes away. I told him I tried to take out a fuse but was not successful. Randy didn't offer any kind of technical advice or offered to put his mechanic on the phone to help us with the situation. this nightmare trip just started and it did not get any better for the five nights we had this thing. We never got any sleep at night because even with the rocker switch off the noise would come on randomly through the night and wake everybody up. I've had enough on the fourth night and asked a fellow camper in the campground if you had any tools I removed the back up camera stereo unit from the truck That solve the problem for noise. We slept the final night without any poltergeist activity. Summary: We paid Randy $1800 dollars to rent his pile. We spent $1500 on airfare, another $1000 on food and incidentals including dumping the crap from the previous sucker. There is not monetary amount for lost sleep for 4 nights. we return the pile to Randy with a real full tank of gas, black and gray tanks emptied. To add insult to an already infuriating rv experience, I got tag teamed in their office. The woman in the office said the generator worked perfectly before we took possession. Then both of them proceed to give me a school lesson on automotive wiring. Not once did they offer to refund me for the substandard pile of crap they rented to us. I didn't ask for one either, giving Randy the opportunity to do the right thing. Randy said sorry and offered me a bottle of water. Quality. Update: I received the final receipt, Randy charged us the $91. This fee was imposed if a renter returned the rv with sewage not dumped. What a crook.
