Purchased our Lance 2295 there in August 2018. The sales process was incredibly smooth, and Jimmy answered all of our questions. This past month, September 2019, we had a sewer flange break during a trip, and just a couple of weeks before a big trip to Washington. Got the trailer there, and Joe and Jeremy had in done just in time for our trip. Wow talk about unprofessional no customer service and crooked this is the place to go. Went in to pickup a part and the 1 Star was just for having the part in stock. The person wouldn't give us the time of day, double charged me, refused to give a receipt, when I questioned my change because he even kept more money he stated ok I will have to charge you more than the extra I kept because I will have to add tax. We drove out here from two hours away to check out some campers and got stuck in traffic. Luckily we made it there before they closed. They close at 5:00 and we arrived 10 minutes prior to 5:00 to encounter a rude woman who wouldn't let us in past the open gates. We told her it wasn't 5:00 yet and we really only needed 5 minutes of her time to take some measurements. She continued to curtly say they were closed but she'd be happy to get us a brochure while we wait outside, past the gate. In the amount of time it took her to get the brochure, we could've taken our measurements. Not helpful and not good sales strategy, and not even basic human kindness. read more

We really wanted to buy a Lance RV and went to Meeks several times. After much researching, we found one in Nipomo which was a better deal. We picked it up from Trailer Hitch RV and they did the hitch, brakes, walk-through, etc. and were very informative and helpful, as any RV dealer should be. Recently, we needed service and called the local Lance dealer Meek's RV in Acampo. They asked us where we bought our Lance and said that we should take our Lance back to the dealer where we purchased it, they refused to service our Lance even though they are a Lance dealer. We called the Lance Factory in Lancaster and spoke to them about the situation. They informed us that any Lance dealership would work on it and the gentleman there took matters into his own hands and called Meeks RV personally. He called us back and said they agreed to make an appointment with us and to call them back. We called Meek's service again and again they said that we did not buy our Lance at Meek's so they would not service our Lance. I was under the impression that any Ford dealer will service my Ford but apparently, Meeks RV does not adhere to that train of thought. read more

This is a pre-sales review... I visited meeks today. I'm considering a few options. Toy hauler or truck camper. In both cases Lance is my go to brand. Anyway, I visited Meeks today and was very pleased with the pre-sales experience. The sales staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and did not do the high pressure game so many others do. Their inventory and knowledge of the Lance product line was spot on. I've visited dealers in Nevada and California. So far, these guys are my favorite. I do not have adequate words to describe how great Jimmy and his crew at Meeks RV were to my family and I. My parents lost their home in a wildfire, and had an immediate need for temporary housing. I had done some research on Lance trailers and looked at a few at my local dealer, which unfortunately also burned in the fire, so I found Meeks RV as the next closest dealer with the trailer I had in mind on the lot. Jimmy and his team were amazing. They pulled out all the stops to get my parents outfitted, set up and on the road not only in record time, but on a day that they had to close early to attend a funeral of one of their own employees. They are patient, have an incredible staff, gave our kids a room with a tv while we waited as they prepped and loaded our camper to the truck. Where to begin. Wife and I finally made the decision to buy a trailer having no previous experience other than the horror stories from friends and the strong arm tactics from trailer dealers who just wanted a sale. We saw an online add from a local dealer who we hadnt been to and who sold Lance trailers that we were able to confirm are one of the better travel trailer makers. Friends had one loved it no issues ( their next two were not and thats where the horror stories came from ). We went to check them out they are located in what used to be a gas station that has seen better times (one of the reasons we bypassed them before) Little concerned except, nobody was trying to sell me anything. All the trailers are unlocked and the specs and price are on papers inside the trailers. They sell both new and used trailers and we came to look at the used (although I really liked the new Lance). Finally decided we had questions they had the answers and some suggestions and we were off. We did a thorough check of the trailer told them what we would like fixed, nevers said anything but want to make sure your happy (scary huh?). When we came to pick it up later that week they insisted on going over how everything worked and on doing a safety check on truck and trailer and this is where things should have gone sideways, but didn't. Turns out there was an issue that had to get fixed and it wasnt cheap and couldnt be done by them. Had to be sent out, the price tag increase, nothing, fixed it with an apology of taking up so much of our time??? Seriously? Who does business this way anymore? Well obviously they do. We got it a few days later working perfectly took it on our first trip and not a single issue (well at least nothing related to the trailer, a bunch related to our inexperience). They have a customer for life and I cannot recommend them more to anyone. read more

Last year I was in the market for a new travel trailer, which I purchased from Meeks RV. Recently, I had my first servicing issue, and again I called on Meeks. First, the purchase. After visiting another dealer that was closer to my home, I felt they were asking too much for the model I wanted, so I called Pat Meeks. His asking price was much more reasonable, and in line with what my research told me was a fair price to pay. But I had a concern about the configuration and space of my planned storage spot and access to that. Pat took the dimensions, taped off a replica of them in his lot, and practiced maneuvering the trailer to make sure it would work for me - and this is before I even drove up to meet him. When we did pick it up, he and his crew were extremely friendly and made sure that we, being first-time owners, were comfortable with the RV before leaving. Ten months later I had a warranty issue that needed servicing. Again, I first tried the other dealer who is closer to me. After wasting 3 weeks on the phone with the guy trying to arrange to take it in, I came to the realization that they had no interest in helping me (probably because, since it was under warranty, they were limited in what they could charge). I took it to Meeks, and their service team (headed by Pat's son, Kevin), were again friendly, fixed the problem, and made sure to ask me if there was anything else needing servicing. The guys at Meeks RV gave made the process of purchasing and owning my first trailer easy and pleasant, and they have a customer for life. read more

We just bought our Trailmanor from them today! First of all this is unusual RV for CA and most dealers go like "trail what??" The Meeks' staff not only know the RV type, they also know how to set it up & operate. Furthermore, since our unit was used, the staff made everything in their power to feel the RV like new. If something is missing or loose they fix it or order new part. They even clean it per my request, although they didn't like it :-) thank you Kevin! But what I want to say here that the most valuable thing they have is their attitude toward clients and relationship between staff. OMG! My husband & I were trilled with thief respect to each other. They are all so polite & nice. Feels like a family! They will work with you to "make it working" including price negotiation. As we got our RV we found that our brakes control in the vehicle locks the RV brakes. Other dealers would just send us to fix it somewhere else. But Meeks' staff did it by themselves at no charge! While I wasn't "sold" on it, I enjoyed asking questions of Pat the owner of the business. Once we met the guys from Meeks we knew we would buy our trailer with them. They treat you like family, ensure the purchasing process is smooth and easy and that you are getting the best deal that you can. We went to pick up our trailer today and they walked us through the entire rig from outside to inside. Showed all the the little tricks of the trade how to properly use all the equipment. They happily fixed the few little cosmetic issues with no muss and no fuss. They made us feel like we were important and not just a number. I recently sustained some damage to my 1191. I contacted a number of RV dealers for repairs and experienced much reluctance to do the work. When I contacted Meeks, they were happy to help. After meeting Kevin and Mike at Meeks they reassured me that they would be able to repair my TC. They communicated in a timely manner, and offered a reasonable repair estimate. My husband and I bought our Lance travel trailer from a dealer near Pismo Beach, CA. We drove from Nevada City, CA to Sacramento, CA to the RV show at the Cal Expo....hoping to meet the Lance Rep and ask some unanswered questions about installing a bike rack on the back bumper. We walk up to the Meeks RV table (surrounded by Lance trailers) and ask if there's a rep at the show. The man at the table (I'm not giving his name) asked what model we had. Then asked where we bought it, how much we paid for it.....on and on. He was instantly rude when he found out that we hadn't bought it from him. He asked if we'd purchased an extended warranty (which we had) and went on to tell us that dealers (remember HE is one) only sell those to make extra money from their customers and if WE ever needed any service work done that he'd "make us wait 4 months" to get our rig serviced at his dealership because we didn't buy the trailer from him!... He called over the Lance rep (super nice guy) and started in on him by saying things like "see, this is an example of what I've been telling you all along....nobody can find us on Google...." The Lance rep told him simply that he wasn't paying enough for advertising, that's why Meeks doesn't come up as first on a web search. Anyway, we walked away from the Meeks table with the Lance rep, got all our questions answered and told the rep that even if Meeks had the last Lance for sale anywhere, we wouldn't buy it from that guy ....... read more

I had a great experience when purchasing my new Cab Over Camper I felt I received a fair price and the people were very kind. Now the big issue. I went on a trip with it over memorial day weekend and found a few things wrong. When I went in to drop it off my truck for repair I was told that I needed an appointment. I thought just to drop it off and get it fixed at there leisure. I did not want to remove my camper and then put it back on to take back to them. but was still told I needed an appointment. then when I confronted Kevin via email of my disappointment in the way this whole thing was handled he turned it around to me. I thought I was the customer who just spent a lot of money for a camper. So if you want a good price and then no service go there but if you want service then I recommend you find another dealer. read more

Meeks RV Center is awesome. We rolled in with an issue in our electrical system in our T@b clamshell after fleeing the Ferguson/ Yosemite fire and landing in Galt. After searching the internet we decided that we would drive on down to Meeks and boy are we glad we did. They jumped right on it as if we were the only customer who needed attention. They found the problem right off the bat and we were on our way. Unfortunately I can't leave 0 stars, so had to be 1 which is way too much. Let me start with the fact that Meeks RV is under new ownership and all the Good reviews you see are from the previous owners ( I had the pleasure to meet him 2 years ago ). As of the end of last year Meeks RV is owned by a guy who has absolutely no knowledge of RVs and all he wants is to sell you a trailer. During our first visit he stated that if we buy a trailer somewhere else and later have a problem, he will not service it even under warranty . According to Lance this is a violation of his contract with Lance as a dealer and he should service any Lance camper or trailer regardless of where it was purchased. Unfortunately we ended up buying from him (big mistake !!! ) because we didn't have much time that day to drive another hour to the next dealer. When we selected the trailer everything looked ok and 2 weeks later we picked it up. During our pre-delivery inspection ( lasted about 15 min ) the owner showed me the city water hook up and said it was a "fresh water tank flush connection" ( no such thing). As I said he doesn't have any idea what he is talking about. So we were in a hurry and quickly hooked up the trailer and left. By the way, I had to install my own weight distribution hitch and set it up on the spot...So 2 days later after we had the trailer home I noticed the screen door was bent and didn't close properly. On top of that, the yellow sticker on the bottom of the door that displays the VIN# had completely different VIN # !!! He took the door from our trailer and replaced it with a damaged one from another trailer he still had on the lot. That happened between the time we paid the deposit and the time we took delivery 2 weeks later. I personally call this a theft. So I called to find out why and he blamed the factory, saying they replaced it there !!! Later it was confirmed by Lance that it is impossible for that to happen there. So few weeks later I called to find out what was the status of the arrival of the new screen door that he was supposed to order and his answer was : quote, "sometime before I die" ...as I said earlier all he wants is to sell you a unit. His response as a business owner was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Not sure what this guy is thinking. What he did is illegal ! I checked with the police department and it is illegal to display 2 different VIN #s on the same vehicle. Probably he needed the door in order to sell another unit and installed a damaged, bent door on our trailer. I contacted Lance and will be taking our trailer down to the factory in Lancaster. They requested to see " his creation" and will replace the door at no charge. Lance trailers are amazing products ! Just make sure you buy them from an established dealer with good reputation even if you have to drive an extra hour or two. Lance should not allow such dealers to represent their company. His attitude hurts the name of such a good otherwise product. read more

My wife and I searched for the right Lance Camper for over 6 months; we visited the 4 So Cal Lance Dealerships (Galaxy, American truck camper shell, Richardson RV, and Richard's) and 1 dealership up in Reno. We fall in love with an 865 Lance that Meeks had on their lot and we were amazed by their customer service we received when we were window shopping. We returned home to think about the purchase and made the decision to purchase our new Lance from Meeks due to the price and the service. We visited a lot of dealerships, the other dealers couldn't compare to the Meek's pricing and service. We drove up to Meeks (7 hour drive) on a weekend and they got us set-up on a Saturday afternoon, so we can enjoy the Delta that for the weekend before we headed home with our new Lance Camper. There is no question that we would return to Meeks even though it is 7 hours from our home for service or parts (or maybe a new Lance down the road). Great staff and we had an outstanding experience purchasing our new camper from Meeks. read more

I spoke with the owner prior to stopping in while in town on business. Seemed nice enough. He said the following week the camper I wanted would be coming in and he would give me a call. I never heard back so I called and spoke to the son. He said they had delivered and that I could come up, take a detailed look along with setting it on my truck to make sure it would handle the load. I called again that Friday setting an appointment for Sat. morning as I was driving six hours round trip. When I got there a salesman greeted me, I said why I was there, and he said there was no way they had time for that. I asked to speak to the owner who came out and said they were to busy delivering sold trailers, ending with a curt sorry; and he walked away. He didn't know I had brought another potential buyer but at that point I wouldn't buy ice water on a hot day from this company. What a real company owner (of which I am one) would do was graciously apologize, see if we would go get an early lunch(maybe even offering to buy) and see if we would come back. Their attitude was pretty much kiss my xxx. If a company will treat an obvious serious buyer that poorly, how would one ever expect good service after the sale. I have also filed a complaint with the manufacture as they should know the type of people who are representing their product. The good news is, I have found through more research that the Palomino pop up camper I was looking at is really a piece of crap and I am so glad I did not purchase one. Moral of the story; crappy dealers apparently sell crappy merchandise. read more

I really liked buying from this dealership and would highly recommend them. I looked around at many RVs and I liked that this was A smaller family operation. I am new to the RV business and they treated me with respect and have been helpful from the start. The mechanic who set me up and gave me a tour of my new camper was a great instructor and thorough with my many questions. I was talked down to by many dealers while shopping for RVs, and I can't say enough about how nice the people at Meeks were. The prices were fair and they were clear about expenses associated with getting My truck set up to haul an RV (another $2000). Do your homework, and then go buy an RV from this dealer! read more

Meeks RV is the following, no matter what you read understand this. I put a $1000.00 deposit down on a trailer, which I was told would hold it for a month. I should have known better. the office is disorganized. The place looks like a Junkyard, and the staff for the most part dresses like their at a bar late on friday night. the people who talk to you are brash and rude. their language is unacceptable. This is no longer the family business it was. They lost the deposit agreement and did not even bother to hold the run unit. the Agreement was told hold the unit for thirty days. I needed to sell a trailer and was going to pay cash or finance the unit. Meeks however had other plans. they changed their tune on holding the unit the next day and changed their story when I called them three days later. : Pat Meeks interrupted me on the phone before I could finish telling him what his sales man had promised. He told me I was full of Bull and I hung up the phone. If this is how it starts before the sale, one should ask how is it going to finish. DO not buy from Meeks. read more

We were far from home in our new Lance Camper with a left taillight that wasn't working. We had called the Petaluma Lance dealer - they could see us in a month - we had gone to a repair shop who tried to help and couldn't. We were at our wits end. We didn't want to drive from Sacramento to Gilbert Arizona without a tailight. Our Lance salesman referred us to Meeks RV in Acampo. Mike & Kevin immediately started trouble shooting the problem. In less than an hour they figured out what it was - and it was not something obvious, like a fuse. They fixed it and we were safely back on the road. We were impressed with their trouble shooting prowess. They brainstormed with each other until the problem was uncovered. Everyone there was super nice.
