My review is for the rental of a class c rv. We traveled from Hawaii to go camping with friends. I booked with Randy months ahead of our planned trip to the California north coast. Issues started immediately. I was asked if I have used an RV before, my response was no, never. The instructions were virtually none. We were learning on the job! We discovered the inboard generator did not work so they opted to provide a generator. Not exactly what we paid for but feasible. We noted the stereo and back up camera (all in one unit) did not work. No major deal we'll have the kids look out the back window in case we needed to back up. Played music on our bluetooth speaker we brought with us. Ok, we drove to our campground and set up our site. After getting set up, we had to figure out how to turn on lights. We found a rocker switch and it turned on battery power. Once we turned on battery power the stereo system and backup light made a horrific noise. Reman thought we had a poltergeist in the camper. We turned off the battery power and we're in the dark. This is so much fun. We use flashlights we brought with us but we could not use the generator because it was after 8 PM. good thing our friends made dinner that night because we could not l turn on any lights without having a loud noise to go through the whole camper. Day 2: The black water indicator says full. The technician at the yard told me theres a short in the system and it always reads 3/4 full. Well it hit full ttoday after using the toilet a couple of times. We had to reload the generator and dump the tank. Turns out the tank was full despite the effed up indicator. The rv was supposed to be empty. Had to pay to dump someone's else shit. Back at camp I looked for a fuse to disconnect the radio. I called Randy and told him what the problem was. He said do what you need to do so that the noise goes away. I told him I tried to take out a fuse but was not successful. Randy didn't offer any kind of technical advice or offered to put his mechanic on the phone to help us with the situation. this nightmare trip just started and it did not get any better for the five nights we had this thing. We never got any sleep at night because even with the rocker switch off the noise would come on randomly through the night and wake everybody up. I've had enough on the fourth night and asked a fellow camper in the campground if you had any tools I removed the back up camera stereo unit from the truck That solve the problem for noise. We slept the final night without any poltergeist activity. Summary: We paid Randy $1800 dollars to rent his pile. We spent $1500 on airfare, another $1000 on food and incidentals including dumping the crap from the previous sucker. There is not monetary amount for lost sleep for 4 nights. we return the pile to Randy with a real full tank of gas, black and gray tanks emptied. To add insult to an already infuriating rv experience, I got tag teamed in their office. The woman in the office said the generator worked perfectly before we took possession. Then both of them proceed to give me a school lesson on automotive wiring. Not once did they offer to refund me for the substandard pile of crap they rented to us. I didn't ask for one either, giving Randy the opportunity to do the right thing. Randy said sorry and offered me a bottle of water. Quality. Update: I received the final receipt, Randy charged us the $91. This fee was imposed if a renter returned the rv with sewage not dumped. What a crook. read more

Recently had to have some repairs done to my RV. I had only heard good things about Whittaker's, so I reached out to see if they could take care of the problem. From the minute Randy answered the phone to the minute I paid for the repairs, I could not have been happier. Randy takes a very "old school" approach when doing business. This place should be crazy busy. The owner, Randy, is awesome. He took time to ask us questions about what we wanted and needed instead if just taking our money. It's worth the drive even if you have to travel an hour. We took our trailer to a well known Stockton RV place and they looked at our trailer for about 2 minutes and gave us a $700 estimate. Randy took time to find out what we needed and advised us on how to do the work ourselves. We bought the materials from him and will ALWAYS go there for all our RV needs. read more

STAY FAR AWAY!!! Worst place ive been had things fixed did a good job but had the roof deviated they did a poor job didn't last a year wouldn't Give me a any paper work had left the rv there Cody them to change the battery's and sell. After it being there a while they claimed it was taken for a test drive but i could clearly see it was never moved as i had seen it several days stuffed far in the back. When i came to pic it up after changing my mind on selling it wouldn't even run adding to the fact that they lied. And i had payed for batyeryes to be replaced but they didn't and said we never ordered any because they didn't give me paper work to prove it and then i found that they had stolen a bunch of things out of the rv and knew it was them Cu's it was still locked and they Jason the keys the owner refused to look at the cameras or question the workers who couldn't even figure out how to put on a battery charger to a battery i had to stay intown an extra day to pick it up and take it back home and found even more things wrong with it that they charged me to fix. read more

This is a great place for all your RV and any trailer type needs. You will not be disappointed. Randy is the proprietor and he is very friendly and knowledgeable. Upon first visit Randy noticed the hitch system I was using was undersized and recommended an upgrade. (Funny, the RV dealer in Manteca where we purchased the RV never checked that.) Randy also spent time showing me the correct way to hook up our trailer (another thing the place we purchased the trailer didn't do right). They do it all. Over the past year I have had Whitaker's work on my 2011 39ft travel trailer doing such things as, vent fans installed, add a TV in the bedroom, replace the microwave, add slide awnings, add solar charging system, and most recently they replaced the entire roof after tree limb damage. He and his staff are always professional and timely. Their pricing (parts and labor) is extremely fair. Recently I took our trailer to Whitaker's because I thought I may have a problem with the brakes, Randy took the time to drive my rig and see for himself what I was experiencing and once again I found that I had set up the integrated brake controller wrong. But just to be sure he pulled the wheels and inspected the braking system and found just as he expected there was nothing wrong and they did this at no charge. It can't get much better that that. They take care to keep the RV protected while working on and they clean up after repairs. On a couple of occasions when the RV was there for longer periods he had it cleaned before I pick it up which is really nice. I will only use Whitaker's from now on. This is how business is supposed to be done. My heater went out on my trailer. I took it to Randy's shop and left it for repair. Two weeks later I had my trailer back and it only took that long (which is not long if you have ever had an RV in the shop) because his supplier sent him the wrong part and he had to place another order. The repair was $85 less (that's right...less not more) than he originally quoted me. On the day I picked it up Randy was tied up and was not at the shop when it opened. His help told me to just take the trailer and "pay when you can". "Pay when I can?" I came prepared with an "arm and a leg"! Business on a handshake! This is how it used to be done and how Whitaker does business today. I drove 30 miles and drove past 3 RV shops to get there and would drive 5 times that much if he ever moved (please don't move Randy). Take your RV there and get the service that so few have the integrity to give anymore. read more
