It also helped that a friend had sold several Travel Trailers via Independent RV with positive experiences. If you've had the chance to do researches on consignment dealers from Modesto to Sacramento, you already know that there are several out there with mixed reviews. Which only makes things more confusing. Although we had never met Stacy before, she was very easy to work with while adding no pressure for us to go with them. She was quick to return my calls, and answered all of my questions. When I dropped the trailer off, I worked with Ed. He was just as good as Stacy, making dropping off the trailer very easy. I never felt as if I dropped off my trailer to a dealership that was going to try to "rip me off" with fees and unnecessary service. Here's the good part, Independent RV was able to sale both my trailer and a friend of mine's trailer in two weeks (both of them). On top of that, they got me my full asking price. I needed the trailer hitch ball adjusted to a lower setting but didn't have a large enough wrench. I took the hitch to Independent RV, and they quoted me $200 just to remove two bolts. As a returning customer who's spent thousands with them, I found that excessive--I would have been fine paying around $100. I ended up taking it to a local mechanic, who completed the work in about three minutes and didn't charge me a thing. In appreciation of the excellent customer service, I bought lunch for the whole staff. I had planned to have Independent RV reseal the roof, but after this experience I'll either take it somewhere else or handle it myself. read more

I purchased a used class c motorhome from them a few weeks ago. The rv is super clean and was well taken care of. We were able to easily negotiate with them regarding price and a few minor safety related repairs. Any 21 year old vehicle is going to need some attention. The main issue is the driveshaft carrier bearing needs replacement and a bad front brake rotors. They agreed to replace these items at no additional charge to us !!!! That is unheard of these days. They have the rv now and we should have it back soon. They are focused on safety and customer satisfaction. I am totally impressed by the integrity shown by them. read more

Absolutely fantastic customer service. We were able to find the perfect travel trailer at their Modesto location, and from start to finish the staff was communicative, actively working to make sure everything was ready for us and super friendly. The prices were better than what what we could find locally (we're not in Modesto) and even with adding an extended warranty, we still feel like we got a great deal. When we arrived to pick up the trailer (which we bought sight unseen thanks to the staff sending us pictures and videos and answering all of our many questions), we did notice a few minor issues. They were dealt with immediately by the maintenance staff and we left the dealership within an hour of arriving. Highly recommend this business and love our new trailer. read more

The Winnebago has a leak around a skylight which I put off fixing all summer. Then it rained. I don't have the energy or knowledge to fix it right, so followed up on an ad heard on the radio. Sent an email through their website late weds, expecting a call back in a day or two. Joanna called immediately and we scheduled an estimate for this morning. She wanted me to leave it for a couple days, but after explaining it's my home, she agreed to work with me and make an appointment. The estimate took about a minute and the tech offered to start the 4 hour job now, while I wait. He recommended resealing all the vents, which was expected. They found a second tech to help so I wouldn't need to wait so long. The estimate was also half what was expected based on their website. They've been scraping away the old sealant for about 1.5 hours with a power scraper. Glad I didn't try to tackle this job myself. I'm confident the work will be great. read more

Independent RV has had our fifth wheel for over a month now. They keep sending us different quotes and then saying it's the parts that are taking so long to get it in. They do not call and communicate anything with us the status of anything we are always having to call them.
