This is a great practice. Everyone is nice, the office is always clean. I'm always confident that…read morethey've given me an accurate prescription (mine changes every year). Other local eye doctors I've been to are not this attentive. I am giving 4 out of 5 only because they won't give you your pupillary distance measurement unless you purchase glasses from their optical shop. In order to buy glasses online, you need that measurement, so Robbins doesn't give you that measurement when they give you your glasses prescription. This prevents their patients from being able to buy glasses elsewhere. I know online glasses sales are cutting into the profits of private optical practices like this, but most of us can't afford the $$$ prices of glasses from an eye doctor which is why I always order mine online for about 1/5 the cost of getting them at an eye doctor.

Charge $100.00 for a missed appointment fee! I'm writing to…read moreshare feedback regarding my recent experience. Previously, I had a very positive visit-l came in with a concern about my eyes and was seen quickly. The exam was thorough, and the staff made me feel at ease. Everyone was professional and friendly, which I truly appreciated. However, as of 4/18/26, I'd like to update my experience. I had scheduled an appointment about six months in advance, and unfortunately, I forgot to add it to my calendar and missed it. I take responsibility for that. That said, I did not receive any reminder-no phone call or text-which made it much easier for the appointment to slip through. I was then charged a $100 missed appointment fee. While I understand and respect the need for such policies, the amount feels excessive, especially without any prior reminder. I hope you'll consider the feedback and possibly review your reminder system and fee policy.

What I got was an eye that cannot see clearly from 6 feet+. What happened? The doctor said that he made the decision to make my eye nearsighted because I had lasik surgery 20 years ago. This new plan was NEVER discussed with me prior to my surgery. I would have never approved this, as i wanted clear distance vision and was prepared to wear glasses for reading. What I'm left with is vision that requires glasses for ALL distances! And the lens cannot be removed and replaced. So I'm out of $2600 plus I have poor vision. I pursued a second opinion from an expert doctor in another town and he said that he would never have put a Vivity lens in my eye. And to make it all worse, Cornerstone recommended laser to remove scar tissue on my lens capsule. This was a simple procedure and I had not yet received my Second Opinion. Following that surgery, I had absolutely no improvements in my vision AND I had a negative side effect of increased floaters and a dangerous side effect of increased eye pressure and a chance of retinal damage and loss of vision! (Vitreous prolapse). At my followup for the laser surgery Cornerstone did not even talk to me about the vitreous prolapse! Stay away from Cornerstone Eye Associates! They did not listen to my wishes (which were clearly charted) and they did not take responsibility for my botched eye that is permanent!

I have been a long-time customer of Whelplye & Paul for many years at the Greece location. I…read morerecently called the Webster office--not the general appointment line--to schedule a visual field test. I specifically asked whether this test was provided and was told yes. Based on that information, I made the appointment, waited nearly three weeks, took time off work, and drove 25 miles one way, only to be informed upon arrival that I first needed an eye exam and that they would then decide whether to schedule a visual field test approximately three weeks later. This important detail was never communicated to me when I called and clearly explained what I needed. I am extremely disappointed with this lack of communication and the inconvenience it caused.

Surprisingly, they had a couple of openings that evening and told us to come right in. They only work with older children at this location but were quick to give us their recommendation for someone nearby that also takes our insurance and is great with younger kids, and then fit my husband and me in right away. The Optometrist here is probably the nicest Optometrist I've visited, and in 30 years of wearing glasses and/or contacts, that is saying a lot. Eye exams are pretty routine and a lot of Doctors breeze on through but he was very thorough and kind. The optician asked me what styles I like and made recommendations based on what I asked him and stuck within what my insurance covered when I wanted to stay under that limit (I primarily wear contacts, so these glasses are replacing a much older pair with an outdated script that I only wear at home in the evenings) and did not try to upsell me. I managed to find a pair of glasses that were similar to my old pair but that I like better. Finally the woman at the front desk was amazing, not only was she super friendly and kind, but she was kind to my kids and made us feel right at home while waiting. We have definitely found our new Vision Care "home".
