    Great selection- incl for novices!

Highly highly recommend- especially Eagle location! I have talked & worked with the owner & several employees over the last year & everyone has been patient, highly knowledgeable. As I have a rare disease, some days I can bicycle & other days it's a no-go... so I've appreciated how kind they are to me... with physical & communication challenges... & low bicycle knowledge. ‍ On the other hand- it's clear they would also do awesome with people who are pros- so whatever your level of bicycle knowledge- go to Reeds for one stop shopping & repair! (I thought I'd written a review back on Dec 2018- guess not! Photo is of the bike I purchased & have loved every since... they helped me find the right basket, the right lights, helmet, lock, etc. Also have helped me keep the tires in great shape despite my propensity to nail goat heads!)

This will be our daughters 4th bike from Reeds.

Been buying our family bikes here for 10 years. Great quality bikes. We have traded up models as our kids have grown. Staff is always helpful and quick to respond to questions. Really love the local feel and touch you get. Don't feel like am just another sale for the store. These guys take their time to get you what they need. They are always busy but you never feel like you have to wait for help.

Hellooooo! So my bike was recently stolen and from my front…read moreyard! It was horrible and one reason, other than it getting stolen, was this sorta shit just doesn't happen in my neighborhood. They stole it, the tire blew just around the corner and then the guy ditched it in an alley. I was beyond lucky to get it back. Guy across the street found it and his "friend" was like "it's so weird that the lock and key are right there! The tire was in bad shape" I said to myself....AAAAND there's the guy who stole it! Kept my comments to myself, but other things he said, just added up to him being the thief. I did say..."the lock and key being there shouldn't matter because THE BIKE WAS ON MY PROPERTY WHEN SOMEONNNE STOLE IT!" Fn creep. Anyway, it took my a minute to go and get the tire fixed. I finally did and took it to the Eagle Bike Shop abd glad I did. Was my first time there and I'll definitely go back. Not only is it literally like 3 mins from my house, the staff was excellent. Cody fixed my tire and was super fast in doing so. Love when that happens. He was awesome. The whole staff was super friendly, they know their shit, they tell you straight up what's wrong, what it will cost and don't try to rob you like other places do. I thought it was going to be expensive, but wasn't at all. Again, love when that happens! I think we all do lol. Last bike shop I took it to, where I bought the bike, the cost would be double because I've had it serviced there before in the past and their prices go up..often. I know other things that might come about will be pricey no matter where you go, and that's life, bikes can be pricey to take care of lol, but this bike shop and the vibe is a great one. It's kinda like finding a mechanic who works on your car for the exact problem and doesn't magically find other issues just to make more $$ on shit that doesn't need replacing. Eagle Bike Shop reminds me of a great mechanic who is great to their customers and does work on what needs to be done and that's it. Grateful to these guys for fixing my bike and now that weather is insanely beautiful, I can finally ride again. I do nnnnnot do summer bike rides lol. Too damn hot. I'm not one made for Summer weather. Autumn and Winter are the best! Ok! Guess that's it! Thanks Cody for doing a great job and being super efficient. Thanks to the shop for just being an all around great spot. I know where I'll always go from here on out. If you haven't been and use a bike frequently, I highly recommend this place. It's the INSANELY bright green building on State St on your way into Eagle. You can't miss it. The color is brilliant IMO. Thanks for reading, Yelpiereies! Cheers!!

Not sure how this shop gets any positive reviews. Have been there twice and the customer service…read moreand staff attitude is terrible. The first time thought maybe the guy was having a bad day. He basically said no to helping me with a battery replacement. Brought my wife's e-bike in about a month later and service was no better. Unfriendly and first thing he says it's $75 charge for us to even look at and assess the bike. I was there to fix a flat tire. Good grief. Anyway I walked out and went to Merdian Bikes on Main Street in Merdian and was serviced friendly and professionally the same day.

Frank helped me look us the Specialized Creo 2 Comp 5 ebike online and assisted with ordering a model with my specifications. Once it arrived, George's service department assembled it and adjusted all the dimensions to match my non-ebike road bike. They spent time explaining all the functions of the Creo 2 and, not exaggerating, they were truly excited for me. Cole, the service manager, has been very helpful, as always, instructing me with the process for having them box my Levo for shipment to a buyer. They're truly a multi-service shop and a very friendly staff. I have had exceptional service for the past 9 years and intend to take advantage of their skills and friendship for the remainder of my cycling career.

**Edit: So I mentioned Eagle Bikes on State St a few times in this review. Just drove by there and…read morethey are no longer there. Looks like they are no in actual Eagle vs being in Boise in the previous location** So last Spring, my previous gym shut down. It was a sad day for all of us lol. It was super close to my house too, so we rode my bike every day .. during winter months. I can't do that summer heat bull sh*t lol. I liked working out close to home. So next best choice was..Crunch. It's definitely a little farther but I don't mind and I still get to ride my bike. Two doors down is a bike shop called, George's. I'm very seen this shop for years! Just never went in. I was going to Eagle Bike Shop. Nice guys over there, but little pricey, they have odd hours, and I figured since I was now working out at Crunch, that maybe it was time to check Georgie out. Couple weeks ago, went to put air in my tires and as soon as I detached the little thingy from the tire, can you tell I'm kind of a genius when it comes to everything bikes? So I detached the thingy and all the air just left my tire. I wanted to cry. Stopped into George's to ask what they thought, told me to bring it in. Michael helped me both visits. He basically knew right away what the issue was before even seeing the bike...always impressive when someone knows their sh*t :) So I brought it back the next day and it the tubing inside. He replaced it super fast, was super nice about it. Told us he basically been working with bikes since he was a kid. AND it wasn't crazy expensive at all. Previous bike shop charged me a lot more for something similar last year. I now have another issue on the bike and of course will be taking it to Michael. It's an issue the last shop worked on last year...or so I thought. If they had done the right job, I would think I wouldn't need to get the same thing worked on..almost exa year later. I don't mean to talk shit about them, it's just frustrating. It was expensive as hell, too. I'm sure I'll pay a bit more at George's than my first time going there, but I feel I can trust them a little more. Finding a decent guy to work on your bike, who knows his stuff, won't screw you over, is a hard thing to find. For me, it's like finding a good barber, a good mechanic, etc haha. I'm happy I finally went into this store. Quite the place too. Super super clean, a pretty incredible selection of bikes. From what I looked at and only briefly, the few bikes I looked at were expensive as hell haha. Being cheap, I could never afford a $3000 bike lol. However, my bike is definitely older. Bought it and didn't use it for a LONG time. I use it all the time now. I will eventually need to upgrade it. I'd like to now, but this inflation y'all! It's a killer. I'll wait to see what happens in 2024 haha. Georges is great. I'm sure bike enthusiasts who live in this area, this is their bike shop of choice. Eagle Bikes is located not TOO far from George's, but it's randomly on State. George's is easily accessible from State St. It's in a little shopping plaza with a few other businesses. If you've been here, you know it's a great place. I've been only 2x and already love it. Wish all bike shops had guys like Michael. It would certainly ease the minds of many who are scared to take their bikes in for work. Shit is expensive! Or it can be, rather. Again, so far, I trust this place and I regret not going sooner. Always saw this place and had already created in my head what kind of place it was. Glad they proved me wrong. Boise is a major bike city. We have to love where we take them to get worked on. George's is definitely my new place. Thanks guys for making my first experience with yall a super positive one. Give Mike a raise! Thanks for reading, Yelpercyclists! Cheers!
