Can't recommend Reed's enough. Took my bike in yesterday to have it worked on after a diff local bike shop couldn't fix the problem. Specialized called me today and said Reed will have a new motor mailed out and installed and all I have to do is drop my bike off. We've bought other bikes thru them and they're always friendly, knowledgeable and will continue to recommend them! read more

Service was great. Popped in real quick to get a new tube for a flat tire. The older gentlemen, maybe the owner, helped me out. They know their bikes and it was quick and easy. Tip, they have parking in the back. I plan to go back if/when I need something. read more

Shout out to these Gents! I've had them work on 4 different bikes for me and every time they nail it. Daniel is such a delight and certainly has great customer service, whether it's a child bike or a race bike they are great for service and parts. read more

I brought my Trek bike to Reed's for a tune up. They went through the entire bicycle, adjusted both derailleurs, replaced a worn out cable housing and the front brakes, trued both wheels as well as giving the bike a good decreasing / cleaning. Their price was fair and and they did excellent work. read more

Highly highly recommend- especially Eagle location! I have talked & worked with the owner & several employees over the last year & everyone has been patient, highly knowledgeable. As I have a rare disease, some days I can bicycle & other days it's a no-go... so I've appreciated how kind they are to me... with physical & communication challenges... & low bicycle knowledge. ‍ On the other hand- it's clear they would also do awesome with people who are pros- so whatever your level of bicycle knowledge- go to Reeds for one stop shopping & repair! (I thought I'd written a review back on Dec 2018- guess not! Photo is of the bike I purchased & have loved every since... they helped me find the right basket, the right lights, helmet, lock, etc. Also have helped me keep the tires in great shape despite my propensity to nail goat heads!) read more

Reed Cycle - Great selection- incl for novices! - Bikes Near Me - Eagle, Idaho

Wandered into the Bogus Basin Rd location while out on a road ride. There were four young men standing near the counter/work area and all ignored me. I walked up to them, and they continued to ignore me and talk among themselves for a couple of minutes. I had to interrupt them to get their attention. I asked about a restroom, and one just pointed to the back. When I returned to the showroom, they again just talked amongst themselves even though I walked right up to the counter and looked right at them waiting to be acknowledged. I had to interrupt them again to ask about a Yeti model I was interested in getting a demo ride on. I got a short and to the point answer then they all just went back to their conversation. Wow. I got the hint and stopped bothering them. Maybe I'm spoiled. In the past I've been welcomed and treated like an old friend by all the local bike shops in the areas where I've lived. I could go there and hang out, shoot the breeze, even though the owners knew I did most all of my own maintenance and repairs. Was it my age (60+)? Was it because I was a "roadie" that day? I don't know, but it was rude. I've never been in a bike shop with so little personality. So little sense of customer service. Very un-friendly. I plan to replace my aging mountain bike with a new trail bike soon. Don't think my money is good here though. Last time I was in Meridian Cycles I got a warm welcome. Maybe they can get me a Yeti. Or maybe Yeti needs to know who are selling (or not selling) their products. read more

Fantastic service as usual. Reed's team knows what they are doing, and doesn't make you feel 'dumb' when you don't :) The recommendations were awesome, and there was no pressure to buy. Much appreciated Reed team! read more

I went to Reed Cycle and purchased a Yeti ARC Hardtail (sight unseen). I previously owned a specialized fuse. I was looking for something lighter with a slightly narrower tire. Daniel Who works there was very helpful. He went online and pulled up the geometry comparisons between the two bikes. I was able to ascertain that the ARC was going to be way better than specialized (carbon fiber frame instead of aluminum and 2.6 inch wide tires instead of 3.0 inch wide tires in the specialized). Bike is light weight and extremely agile. I could not be happier with my purchase. After my first ride I determined that I would prefer a high-rise handlebar. Daniel made a recommendation, for a small difference in cost I was able to upgrade to a lighter weight bar and now I feel that the bike fits me perfectly because I have longer arms. I would recommend Reed cycle to anyone looking for service and great quality. Five stars all the way!! read more

I shopped around at both George's locations. Hands down preferred the small-business (call it mom'n'pop--in the BEST sense of that term) vibe and attitude at Reed's. Selection was smaller, but the listening-to-the-customer was better. Reed's guys came across like they really want to put people onto bicycles, and for their customers to have a great experience. The other shop guy seemed to be there more as a side-gig. At my price range (upper-middle end), the selection at Reed's was just fine, and I ended up with a terrific bike for me (post-purchase web research concurs). Also big--the frame I initially chose was a bit big for me. Just a couple days later, I went in and found that they had a smaller one in stock. Since I had put literally a half-mile on my purchase, they were VERY accommodating and happy to exchange for the smaller one....HUGE for me!! (They swapped wheels/tires, so the one going back in stock has the new ones and zero wear.) Also fab is that Reed's offers a ten percent discount on accessories, after a cycle purchase. Nifty!! And much appreciated, especially since I didn't know what I'd need/want at the time I bought the bike. Shouts out to Tucker and Taylor, and Daniel! read more

These guys are awesome. Bought my kid a bike here last fall and the derailleur was giving my son some problems..brought it in and they said no problem, it's under warranty for a year! Rather than fixing the old one they put a brand new, upgraded derailleur and a brand new chain on, tuned it up and sent me out the door with it. Can't speak highly enough about the level of customer service and how friendly and knowledgeable they are. Support local, super worth it and these guys deserve your business! read more

I went in on a busy Saturday and was treated as though I was the only one in the shop. They fixed my bike on the spot for an extremely reasonable price. They have earned my loyalty! read more

Reed Cycle - This will be our daughters 4th bike from Reeds. - Bikes Near Me - Eagle, Idaho

Small shop in town I live in Middleton any way. But they have tools for us DIYs out there. I got my son some pedals so he can grip it on freestyle rides. They didn't have the helmet he wanted but it's Covid-19 what can you do. Why 5 stars? Because they asked if I needed help. That goes a long ways for me. read more

Love Reed Cycle shop! They are always very nice and super helpful. I've been in about 3x with flat tires and small fixes. They have been very quick to do the service and have reasonable prices. Reeds is my go to bike shop. read more

Mixed review from me here as I live in Eagle and have used this shop several times. A few positive interactions with successful fixes. Prices seem a little high but I don't mind supporting small businesses. One interaction in particular I brought in my Dutch bike and was told they had no idea how to service those types of valves. It was a normal Schrader valve just with mudflats. Young guy needs a little more training. In any case I have not ruled them out yet. No one is perfect. read more

I am a huge fan of this shop!! Bill, the owner, is knowledgeable and friendly. Three years ago, I bought my bikes for my boys and for myself. We love them. Whenever they need repair or a tuneup, we take them in and are treated so well!! Today, I returned to trade in my cruiser for a mountain bike. Bill was so helpful in assisting with my selection... and he even offered a fair price for my used cruiser! read more

I've been going to Reed Cycle shop in Eagle for my bike repair/maint. needs for the past year and have been really pleased with Their expertise and customer service. It wasn't until yesterday that I decided to go to Reed for the purchase of a new mountain bike. In this case, I was referred to their Boise location as they had the bike I was looking for in stock. I was initially greeted by Tucker who dropped what he was doing to spend time with me and answer all of my questions. Not once did I feel rushed. I felt like I was just talking to a good friend over a beer discussing bikes and what to look for, etc. After a considerable amount of time and test riding the bike, I decided to pull the trigger and purchase it. Not only does the bike manufacturer, Giant, stand by their product, Reed Cycle also stands by their sales. I was reassured that if I ever have any problems or need to bring my new bike in for maintenance, it is covered for the first year! That was the icing on the cake! Remember to ask if they give any special offers if you pay cash. I highly recommend Reed Cycle for your bike repair or maintenance needs...or maybe even if you need a new bike or equipment. read more

Reed Cycle - Bill Reed helping me out with my new Giant Trance29 III - Bikes Near Me - Eagle, Idaho

I have been a customer of Reed Cycle in Eagle for several years and appreciate the staff and owner, Bob Reed. The service has been excellent and the prices for their bikes, parts, service and repairs are better than anywhere else I have ever shopped or had work done on a bike. This week I visited the new Reeds Cycle at 2340 Bogus Basin Rd. and Wow! A much larger shop and display area with the same excellent service provided by Mr. Reed himself. I would recommend Reed Cycle tin Eagle or the new Bogus Basin Rd. Shop to anyone!! The best service excellence our family has ever experienced!! Sincerely Gary B. & Family read more

Bill knows how to take care of his customers. We've been shopping here for years and Reed's has done a great job taking care of bikes for us and our kids. Great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fair prices and a great selection. They're willing to order whatever you'd like if it's not in the shop. I'd initially discounted Reed Cycle because it didn't look like it could possibly have much in stock, but when I realized they were a Haro dealer I went back. The shop is a lot larger than it seems from the front, so make sure you go in and check it out. I even found a Haro BMX in stock, one I'd been looking for to follow my six year old around on. I just got a complete overall on my mtn bike. They did a thorough review of everything that needed updating by pointing it out to me on the bike. I took my bike into Reeds for a shifter repair recently. Absolutely impressed with their customer service, honesty and bike repair skills. The cost of the repair was minimal (which was awesome since with my shifter knowledge is nonexistent and they could have fixed/charged me for anything) and it was completed quickly. While looking around the shop I noticed that the bike accessories are priced noticeably less than another bike shop in Boise that I was in recently. A great local bike shop that's highly recommended. read more

Please do not bring your bike here. Poor workmanship. I have brought my husband's bike here now twice for a rear flat on his mountain bike. Each time Reed Cycle just replaced the inner tube but kept the object in the tire that gave it a flat in the first place. We will NOT be coming back even though I believe in promoting local businesses. read more

I had an old Peugeot px10 for 45 years and decided to completely restore it. Got the decals (in Australia) and paid 300 bucks for an amazing paint job (thanks John). It still needed to be tuned up and the only place I felt comfortable taking it was reeds. Needless to say they did a great job, took extra care storing the bike and making sure nothing happened to the paint job and tuned it up perfectly. Very happy. read more
