He fixed the light above our kitchen sink that hadn't worked for a long time. And the light in our refrigerator was acting like a strobe light. He placed some tape over the button that controls that light so now the light doesn't go on when we open the fridge but I'm glad that the flickering has stopped! Also, he noticed that the kitchen faucet had a weak water flow on the "stream" setting. He told me what to do to get it back to normal. I really appreciated that help. I was tired of having to use the "spray" setting all the time. Overall I'm very happy with the work Minde did and also happy with his fee. He's friendly, respectful of my home and he's very adept at fixing things! He's really popular/busy so I'm glad that I waited for him to be available. Thank you Minde!

$ Handyman Alex SERVICE REQUESTED: I was able to reach out…read moreto Alex with no problem at all, and I described the issue with the toilet - simply running for an extended period after a routine flush, which I recognized as a "flapper" problem, the rubber flapper was not seating properly and the water ran until shutting off the valve. Alex was quick with his reply and we arranged to meet at my home on the 4th of July, and he arrived exactly on time. At first, it took a few moments to catch on to his accent. This very pleasant handyman is formerly a Russian, and he is perfectly happy to be alive and working in the home of the brave. In he walked, very confident, with a fairly lrge satchel full of assorted tools. I brought him to the site of the offending troublesome valve and he set to work on it at once. In what was probably less than 20 minutes, he had the toilet flushing perfectly, at least 4 times, allowing a fill each time. Congratulations Alex! QUALITY: One cannot argue with success. The job was handled properly, promptly, with hardly a word spoken. At one point, he wanted to draw my attention to a part, and when he wasn't able to say it, he apparently tooked it up and showed me the translated word on his phone. Clever, this fellow, quick and clever. VALUE: Alex had agreed with me in advance regarding the fee. He was happy to take my check and after talking with me in general about some painting (Ceiling) I might wish to complete, for which he gave me a fine estimate, he drove away. SUMMARY: Alex did exactly what he was asked to do. There was no holding out for more money or any such nonsense. Fee was perfect. Very highly recommended without reservation.

His pricing was competitive, and I appreciated how quickly everything came together. They did a great job restoring and coating my flat roof, and the finished roof looks excellent. I would definitely recommend Golem Roofing to anyone looking for professional, fairly priced roofing work.

Golem Roofing just did a wonderful job fixing our leaking chimney. It was an ongoing problem for…read moreyears. Every time it rained, we would hear water dripping in our fireplace. Couldn't stand it anymore so we called a few roofing companies and left messages asking for estimates to stop the roof leak. In about 10 minutes Andy (from Golem) called back and asked us if it was OK to come out and look at the problem that afternoon. Andy looked at the chimney, isolated the problem, took pictures, took measurements and, as a courtesy, checked the entire roof and skylights. Andy gave my wife and me a debrief of what he discovered and what his recommendations were. The old chimney cap needed to be replaced because it was riddled with rust and holes. The roof looked fine except for a few minor spot repairs. Andy provided an estimate to construct a new chimney cap, remove the old cap and replace it with the new one. Golem Roofing's estimate was very reasonable. A few days later three Golem roofers installed the new chimney cap, repaired the few trouble spots on the roof, and hauled away the old rusted chimney cap. Every Golem employee we encountered was knowledgeable, professional, articulate and friendly. I get the impression that every Golem employee's word is their bond. My wife and I would not hesitate to hire Golem Roofing for any roofing issue. We highly recommend them. BTW, it rained last night, and for the first time in years ... our chimney DID NOT leak.
