Purchased home in 2021. From proof from prior owner, lb handy man did quite a bit of work, including floors. Floors were apparently not leveled properly (from current contractor quotes), so the flooring is giving and cracking in a lot of spots throughout the home - as evidenced in pictures. Shame because the flooring was literally put in about a year or two ago. Just letting other future people know. I haven't contacted lb handy man about this, as I doubt he will come out and redo work from 2 years ago when I'm not the one that even purchased it. He did the doors in my house and many become stuck with weather changes so I've been trimming the doors to fix. I'm not saying he's a terrible worker, but I would highly advise not to get doors/door frames or floors done by him. Avoid. read more

Updating because I went to remove the mirror bracket that he had "installed" for the heavy mirror, and realized he literally stuck nails in drywall that easily pulled out. You complained about the weight of the mirror and then thought it would be a good idea to hang it with nothing securing it to the wall? As for painting, the reason you had to redo it was because you only had done half the bathroom and then claimed you did the whole thing the next visit. They did my Long Beach condo bathroom recently. Very reasonable price and quick service. I'm highly recommend them.

After a promising start, the problems just got worse. We needed some work done in the bathroom, ended up with almost a full bathroom remodel. 'Asked' for additional 10% a day before the work was to be completed, finish work was very poor, drains for sinks were leaking and the shower - behind the new tile! Called Jorge and his response was "You should be able to handle it" but to let him know if I had any trouble. Well, I had trouble and now he refused to fix it, saying "I can't do that work because I am not licensed and don't have insurance". We are not unhappy with with all of the work. He is a good handyman and we likely would be happy if only the work we originally wanted was done. We are now left with a bigger and potentially more costly problem than we started with. I've done many construction projects from my previous restaurants, and know what's needed for the job, which is a reliable person to complete a project, and....Jorge is The Man!!! I had to replace my picket fence in front yard, my wood had rotted and I couldn't even open the gate. I met with Jorge at my home, we discussed different options for the fencing. We decided together on one type of fencing (paver's with stucco coating) - The next day- Jorge met me at HD Supply, and we picked out supplies together, while he kept suggesting minimal amounts needed to complete the project and SAVE $$$. Nobody does that!!! Then, on top of it, I changed my mind, and went with white vinyl fencing, and Jorge was nothing but patient with me, no attitude, judgements, etc. He arrived on time, his helper Issac was also great, and they got the job done in ONE DAY!!! And again, Jorge said to take back the gate kit that cost $90.00, and just buy a couple of hinges & gate bracket,( I ran to Ace Hardware on 2nd )- to Save Me Money!!!!! Extremely happy w the work Jorge did at my duplex! I was getting mud and water in my basement from a planter outside. He removed huge plants and dirt and cemented the area while ensuring a drain was still exposed that helps w draining water in our backyard. He answered my first attempt to call and despite being late 25 minutes to our appointment he made up for it by texting me the quote right away and not charging me for any additional items once the job was done. He arrived Saturday morning and upon inspection of the door in person, he determined he needed another piece to complete the repair. He went out and sourced the part and communicated as he was leaving the store to let us know he was on his way back to our house. He repaired our front door quickly, cleaned up all the dust and debris from the repair, and left the door functioning better than when we moved in.
