We made the right choice in hiring Brian to do one beast of a job in our kitchen/dining area. For background, the 70s aesthetic was not kind to our home. The longest wall in the house, the one you see from any vantage point, was covered in wood paneling that we had tried to disguise, rather unsucessfully, under a coat of bright blue paint after moving in. The wall opposite that had been covered in a mystifying checkerboard pattern of mirror and cork, which my husband had removed previously, leaving the wall surface pockmarked. We also had a crack in the ceiling that resisted patching. When we reached out to Brian, he was reponsive and personable. He started working as soon as we were ready, first diagnosing the issue with the ceiling crack and then doing a more permanent fix to keep it from returning. He was able to remove the wood paneling while preserving the wall behind so that it just needed a skim coat, and he smoothed out the wall that had been damaged by the mirrors. He followed this up with a light spray so that the texure matched that of the surrounding walls that we didn't touch. Throughout the process, Brian made sure we were all on the same page and that we were happy with his approach as well as the end result. This review is long overdue. In June my wife & I called a few drywall companies to physically come to our home and give us a quote to redo the walls of a small 3/4 bath in our newly purchased home. We had a lath and plaster kitchen ceiling with many cracks. Brian quickly came out and recommended we just install drywall over the ceiling rather than remove the plaster, a very messy job. He installed, taped, and mudded in one day and came back the next to do a final light sanding. Our walls have a very unique plaster pattern (built in 1929) but Brian was able to closely match the pattern where wall met the ceiling. Price was very reasonable. Overall, extremely satisfied. A week ago we had a great local plumber fix a bathtub leak that led to water seeping out from the baseboard of an adjacent room. Unfortunately, the plumber didn't patch walls, leaving a 2'x1' hole that was far too accessible for our child and pets. I called up BC after my water pipe burst in my garage ceiling. The plumber took care of the pipe, but couldn't take care of the 2 foot by 5 foot hole in my ceiling.
