Carlos was a great find on Yelp. Upfront he gave a price after seeing photos. Others wanted to schedule an appointment to see (which can be inconvenient since I work, and usually this is to try to talk you into their services when they are there). He was very communicative with fast replies on text, he has wonderful work habits and you can tell he takes great pride in his work. He removed an old garden window for us and replaced it with another, then patched the drywall and stucco. He did such a great job, we asked him to move a gas line for us and he did, no problem! I found Carlos very conscientious and polite. (He was careful to ask if he could use our restroom if we weren't home and really took his time to make sure he understood requests and then repeated them back to me.) He showed up with a trailer full of tools and a smile. He was a joy to work with and after our countertops are installed, we asked him back to do our backsplash. Thanks for the great work, Carlos read more

Needed to update this review after the heavy rain season. Turns out this fence was installed incorrectly and began to cause a big leak in my home. Initially I thought no big deal, contact the person who installed the fence and have them fix it. If it were only that easy. I reached out to Servins and he said he would fix it. Four days later he asks when he could come to address it. I tell him I'm waiting on approval to start work and would let him know. I reach out to him once I received proper permission and he says he'd come either that day or that Saturday. Well it's been over a month and I've heard absolutely nothing from him. Not only am I left with a leak in my roof, I now have to pay someone else to fix the roof and fix the inside of my home where the leak caused damaged in my home. read more

**Estimate bait and switch. Very disappointing. I have used successfully Yelp for work and have always written stellar reviews. Unfortunately, this is my first terrible experience. He started with give me your address, I'm on my way. I asked for a price as many had already responded with a price. Carlos bid out installing my 3 pre-made Home Depot closet organizers (really two sets and a 14" middle at $180, I'd received two other like bids at $60 an hour estimating 3 hours so I thought he was on target and since he was local to LB and eager to come I said great, let's do it. He arrived and said, "oh no, it will be more $, This is a lot more work. A lot more work?!?! It's literally 3 rails leveled and screwed into studs and pieces attached to the rail. I've done it myself many times but I'm 8 months pregnant and am no so mobile or strong with this bump. Other help was hired, we completed in under 3 hours. read more

Had two backyard gates installed and and a few other odds and ends done. Replied quick to my questions and was very personable. Ended up doing a good job at a good price. Would highly recommend. read more

Great support from Servins and his team. They did a great job doing everything needed for the project including installing cabinets, fitting the cabinets, plumbing and assembling the countertop. I like their service so much I had them back to do a couple other things involving installing a light fixture and some kitchen cabinet work as well as installing a kitchen appliance. I would highly recommend them. read more

**This review does not reflect the quality of work. I found the service through here, saw the good reviews and figured I'd give it a shot. I scheduled an appt with Servins to come by my house to give me a quote. He gave me a two hour window the following day when he said he would stop by, which I planned around. He ended up texting me at the end of the appt window that he wanted to cancel and wasn't going to make it. I understand things happen and I am pretty reasonable, but feel this situation could have been handled better. read more

Never been more upset! I am a scheduler for a damage resolution company so I get paid to work with different contractors all day long and Carlos is the rudest most unprofessional person I've ever met let alone worked with. We hired him to do a simple casing job on a bedroom door and he royally ruined it! He showed up late at night when he was suppose to be there at 5, then after I told him many times he needs to take pictures of the finished job, not only did he forget but he harassed the homeowner on a holiday calling repeatedly and finally showing up to the house and pushing his way in to get pictures telling them he wont get paid otherwise! For a $200 job?? You couldn't wait until morning? Do not work with him if you need it done right. He didn't even replace the casing but just nailed in the existing one which had water damage and is still warped! Then he used caulking on the gaps and cracks!! UGH!! The whole job has to be redone! I don't know where or how he has those pictures on his page but he needs to find a new trade if you ask me. Something that he can show up late and not have the tools needed. Be lazy and demand payment after not even doing the job. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CARLOS "HANDYMAN" read more

This was the best handyman experience I've had. Carlos was on time and very competent with every aspect of work I needed. Everything from plumbing to curtains. Admittedly, my expectations were low from prior experience using a local handyman from a different service. This was above and beyond; he has literally a truck full of tools and was flexible with my schedule and came 2 days in a row to accommodate the long list of work I needed in a tight window. Work included: plumbing showers and sinks, mounting my tv, patching drywall and paint, mounting cosmetic curtains and fixing a troubled door footer. He was very knowledgeable and I'll definitely use his services again. read more

We had kitchen cupboard space removed to make room for a dishwasher & install it -- this required carpentry, electric and plumping work as well as dishwasher installation. We had reached out to multiple handymen, many did only one or two of these things. Carlos was able to do it all. He was very quick to provide a quote, arrange a time to come to do this work, and did a great job. We also had him install a dimmer switch and GFI outlet, which he did quickly. We were very happy with his services and certainly plan to return to him if we need anything else! read more

I scheduled an estimate, and was very impressed with the way he presented himself. He was kind and very knowledgeable. He took pictures of all of my projects and later contacted me by text with a bottom line estimate. When I requested a line item estimate so that I could determine my priorities, he refused to do it. He said if I was ok with the bottom line he could proceed. I waited for weeks then asked again. He never responded. I was greatly disappointed because I did not think it unreasonable to ask for an estimate by project/room. He was my last estimate, and I had already decided to give him the job. However his handling of the estimate was a complete turn off. read more

Carlos was very hardworking and capable. He did a great job fixing my door jamb and replacing my locks. It took him about 2 hours, which he did with little to no intervention on my part, which was great - it shows he's professional and he knows what he's doing. I intend to have him back from more work as soon as I can afford it. read more

Carlos is a polite man, very skilled in his craft. I had one of my curtains ripped from the wall and he repaired it in a timely manner. I am thoroughly impressed with how fast it was. He was prepared, knowledgable, and efficient. Also, the job was reasonably priced. Couldn't ask for a better handyman, I will definitely call again for future repairment needs. read more

Two weeks ago I messaged Servins Handyman Services explaining the details of the job and the zip code. He messaged back quickly saying he would be there the next day at 10:00 am. I began making arrangements with my tenant based on Servins' response. Servins, my tenant, and I settled on a time. I gave Servins the phone number of my tenant. I thought we were all set. Servins said he would call my tenant the next day to confirm but he didn't. When I texted Servins, he said he forgot. Servins apologized and said he would call immediately. Servins then proceeded to call my tenant and cancel because it was out of his area. Even though I put the zip code in the initial email to which Servins responded. Time wasted. 5/31/17 I changed this review to 3 stars because the problem was with Yelp as well as Servins. You know how after you send a message and Yelp recommends you send that message to 5 other companies? Well, that is how I ended up sending the email to Servins. Servins' page clearly shows the area they serve and my zip was not in it. So why was the Yelp suggestion so random? Why did Servins respond so quickly and take so long to figure it out? Servins is probably a good guy, but he forgot to call and he cancelled after agreeing to do it. That deserves 3 stars. read more

This handyman is great! Showed up on the day he said he would and did a fantastic job. He hung a chandelier and installed a blind corner shelf. Very happy with his work and I am looking forward to the next project. read more

Clearly, the person who wrote the negative review was upset and was just being unkind. Carlos is an amazing handyman. He is kind, honest, fair and pays close attention to detail. He has done several jobs at my house to help me with my kitchen remodel and all I can say is WOW. I wish I would have hired him to do all the work. There are not enough good things that I can say, but I will try. He showed up on time and with all the tools and materials he needed to complete my job in a timely manner. He was kind and willing to go above and beyond to make sure that my every specific need was met. On top of that, his prices were very competitive for the quality of craftsmanship shown. Lastly, he is skilled in his various areas of construction and has the know how to get the job done right the first time and without any error. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.
