Contacted Mariano through Yelp for a ceiling restoration (drywall patch and paint match) and he responded very quickly. Asked for an estimate/invoice to get reimbursement from my HOA on the project and he gave me such a detailed scope of work! With a reasonable price--not the cheapest or most expensive and seemed fair with his description. And what a wonderful choice! He is very communicative and prompt, did the job as promised. Careful around my personal items and is clean. Would definitely go back again for bigger projects. He accepts payment via Zelle for those who don't carry cash. read more

I hired Mariano for a garage renovation and some plumbing repairs earlier this year. While he started the project, it has now been over six months of delays, excuses, and unfinished work. The Situation: Unfinished Project: A significant portion of the garage work--including flooring, lighting, and final finishes--was never completed despite being paid for. There is also a tiling project that he had done, but needs to be redone. Out-of-Pocket Costs: After months of waiting for a plumber who never showed up, I eventually had to hire an outside professional to handle urgent repairs at my own expense. Broken Payment Plan: In September, we mutually agreed on a refund amount to cover the unfinished work and shared plumbing costs. Despite a monthly payment plan to make it easier for him, he has not sent a single payment . The Experience: Mariano is a nice person and usually does excellent work, but his professional follow-through has been non-existent. I have sent dozens of messages over half a year. He frequently promises to show up or send a payment "within a few days," but those dates always pass without any action or communication. I am posting this to be transparent about the current state of the project. read more

Great value, excellent quality of work. Communicated very well and left our home clean and organized

I hired Mariano for a full house remodel. We worked great together, completed everything we contracted out and the house looks great. If you need work done, he is the man to hire read more

Absolutely fantastic! Mariano repaired an extensive amount of stucco damage at my dad's house, fixed a ton of termite-damaged wood, and re-painted the entire exterior. He even threw in a few small repairs that were beyond the original scope of work. He has been extremely communicative and transparent about everything. We had some minor delays on account of the weather, but that was obviously no fault of his. When the weather turned bad, Mariano was very open with me about the revised schedule, and was able to still get everything done under budget and on-time. His team has been very gracious about dealing with a couple of very large dogs that were always getting in the way, too. I appreciate the consistently good follow-up to all my messages and texts. I have been able to rely on almost immediate feedback to all my questions. Everything has been amazing on this complex project! A+ all the way! :) I didn't take "before" and "after" pictures of Mariano's work, but I can assure anyone reading this that the transformation of my dad's house has been nothing short of a miracle. AMAZING WORK, Mariano and team!!! I highly recommend Mariano for your next home improvement job! read more

I hired them to remove and install a bathroom fan. The work was more extensive than I anticipated but Mariano and crew took their time and completed the job well. They do quality work. read more

Mariano will follow up with his work! He returned to complete an unfinished job. Check him out!

Contacted Mariano through Yelp for pressure washing/staining/sealing wood fence and he responded in prompt manner. He showed up on time for an estimate, gave me a fair quote - not the cheapest, but not overpriced either unlike some others. Once we had an agreement, he showed up, did the job as promised. Prompt communication via text/call and he also sends photos if I can't be onsite. Then, why not 5-stars? Some detailing - coverage of applying stain/sealant - could be a bit better. However, I definitely do plan to hire Mariano and his crew again for some other job in very near future. I will certainly update the review if necessary after the 2nd project. He accepts payment via Zelle & Venmo as well on top of check and cash - i.e millennial friendly! read more

So far we've had Mariano and his crew work on 2-3 different projects on our house and we love their work. He is friendly, efficient, reliable, on time, and great at communicating. Plus his work turns out nice, he's meticulous, not lazy or sloppy, and they clean up after themselves too. I can't wait to see the finished results of the other projects we have lined up for him! I'd definitely recommend him (but get in line, we're first ;) read more

1 year later, it would be nice to get my deposit back Mariano initially came out for a baseboard install and some work on electrical outlets. I had to call him several times just to get the estimate which should have been the first red flag. The total for all the work was $1330 (Labor) On 10-30-20 I paid him $350 for a deposit when he removed the old baseboards. On 11-13-20 he completed the electrical work and said he needed an additional $760 since he's picking up the baseboards I ordered, and they were ready for paint/install. On 11-18-20 he showed without the baseboards and said he needed to measure the area again. He offered to install a hood that had just been delivered. I paid him and his partner $125 for this install. On first use, it did not pull any of the smoke from the stove. A buddy of mine came over and pointed out that they didn't do the ducted work properly, and he explained that this is what I get for dealing with unlicensed professionals. I never even brought this up to Mariano because I didn't want it to impact the remainder of the work negatively. Well, it didn't matter because I would call and text, and he didn't respond. Then I would call again, and he would assure me he would come out to finish the job. He would say things like "next Tuesday" and then not show up. I dealt with this for several months. I consider myself a flexible person, and I even asked if he would like me to have someone else take the job over if he's too busy. He assured me he would complete it, and it's not a big deal. Looking back, I have paid him $1,110 of $1,330 and got around $600 worth of work. I have no problem with Mariano, but I am extremely disappointed at his lack of professionalism and communication. I consider his work "average," and I felt like he rushed to get through tasks at my home. He preferred to be paid through Zelle and would assure me he would send a payment notice (which he didn't). I went back on my bank statements and was able to pull up the payment totals and dates for this review. I had to find someone else to complete the work, and I had to pick up the baseboards myself. A year later, he has completely disappeared and has not returned my deposit. I hope people who read this are not desperate enough to hire this handyman as he takes advantage of his customers. read more

We had Mariano and his crew complete 2 projects for us. He stained two sections of our fence on 2 different occasions (100 ft section and 80 ft section). Mariano and his crew are very friendly, respectful and his pricing is very competitive compared to most places that try to gouge you. I would highly recommend his services. He gets really busy and booked up though....so sometimes it's a struggle to get on his calendar. I would recommend booking him early for your projects. We are looking to get one more fence put up and after that happens...I hope he'll come stain our last fence. Just need to convince our neighbor to pay for half the fence and stain....that's the hard part! Thanks Mariano! read more

This guy is unprofessional. First red flag he doesn't get back to you on first contact within a reasonable time. Second red flag he comes over for inspection and he agrees to get back to me for specific date. A week passes and no answer until I tex then he says ill send a tex by lunch. No answer. Most of his pictures are for big projects.Customer service is part of the job not just knowing how to work with your hands. read more

Mariano installed my main entry door and it looks great. I'm so glad I hired him because I would have done it so wrong. We hired Mariano to paint our entire home and lay flooring in our converted patio. He is professional, kind, courteous, respectful of our home, and does a great job! Eric and David, who along side him share the same work ethic, they too were wonderful to have working in our home. Mariano's attention to detail is uncanny and he worked very well with the needs and wants of our family. Thank you Mariano, we are excited to work with you in the future! read more

I'm only giving this guy one star because there's no negative stars to leave. He left some of his tools at my house. He also didn't replace any of the switch plates in the bedroom. I specified that I wanted the nail holes filed before paint went on and none of that was done either. For what he charged me I expected a lot more professional work. Now I have to go buy extra paint and putty and do it myself which defeats the purpose of hiring him. Im definitely not a happy customer. I'm would not recommend his work. This is Mickey Mouse work at best. I would get everything in writing as well he does not know how to work professional in that dept either. It's all his word against your. Very unprofessional. I can't believe I paid this guy almost $700 for half done work. read more

I set up a 9 am appointment. By 9:30/9:45 still no word. I called and Mariano picked up. No acknowledgment of being late, just said hello and can be there in half an hour or so. He came and did seem to know what he was doing. We agreed Mariano would follow-up to provide a quote. Yet, I never heard from him again. I did call and text, but he never responded. I hired Mariano after reading the reviews on Yelp. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Mariano and his staff did an amazing job on my master bedroom. They were always on time, and worked hard every day, with professionalism to make my room just the way I wanted it. I appreciated their attention to detail and quality of work. Mariano is meticulous about his quality of work, and it shows in the finished product. Additionally, Mariano and his crew left their work areas as they found them.
