I am a big fan of their pizza. I get it at least once a week. It reminds me of the pizza I used to make with my mom when I was little.

Still a great place to dine, whether it's a date night or a meal with the entire family!…read more Great food, plenty of vegetarian options, awesome pasta, and a fantastic wine list. And yes, they have a full bar. Be sure to leave room for dessert--it's definitely worth it! Friendly service, and you can conveniently make reservations through OpenTable. Highly recommend!

The décor is elegant and inviting, and halfway through dinner the lights dimmed into what we jokingly called the "sexy dinner lights," making the atmosphere even more warm and cozy. One thing I really liked is that every entrée comes in multiple sizes, so you can order the portion that fits your appetite. I wish more restaurants offered that option! We started with the Parmesan Crusted Shrimp, and it was a great appetizer. The shrimp had a light, crispy Parmesan crust and came with two delicious dipping sauces. I ordered the Lasagna, and it was exactly what I was hoping for--rich, hearty, cheesy, and full of flavor. One entrée at the table was the Chicken Fettuccine, and we all laughed because none of us expected the pasta to be bright green! It turned out to be spinach fettuccine and ended up being a favorite. Another person ordered the Seafood Linguini De Mare. It wasn't their personal favorite, but that was simply a matter of taste rather than the quality of the dish. I had a Red Ruby Spritz mocktail, which was refreshing and beautifully presented. The others enjoyed their drinks as well. The portions were generous. Even though we were completely stuffed, we still couldn't pass up dessert! The Crème Brûlée was outstanding with a perfectly crisp caramelized sugar topping and silky custard. The Budino was incredibly rich, decadent, and one of the highlights of the night. The Salted Caramel Gelato was also enjoyed. Service was friendly, attentive, and never rushed. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere that made us want to linger. One funny tip: the bathrooms were spotless, but the toilets are surprisingly low! I almost sat down much faster than I expected. so be careful. Overall, Ciao Bella was a wonderful dining experience with delicious food, generous portions, beautiful décor, and a relaxing atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Otherwise, there is street parking nearby, especially as you get into the residential areas. They are a walk-in only restaurant, and if you're going during dinner hours, there is usually a wait. You can a text when it is your turn to be seated, and you are able to wander the neighborhood during the wait. It is close to Lake Harriet, so if you're looking for a way to kill time, you can walk towards the lake and sit on one of the benches! Once you're at Broder's, you're in for a treat! It is a sit-down restaurant that feels on the nicer end of casual. It'd be a good date night spot, but also is good for gathering with friends and family. They have plenty of good options, including some dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free items on their menu which is clearly labeled. The service is always friendly, and they're always attentive, even when it gets busy! They start you off with some free breads, and there is olive oil at the table which you can use with the bread. They have a good selection of wines, and some beer and non alcoholic beverages. If you like a sweet wine that tastes mostly like juice, I highly recommend their moscato d'asti! As for their food, they have so many good pastas, you can't really go wrong. They are able to accommodate some modifications! I think in the past, I've subbed for another pasta shape. I recently also ordered the Tagliarini di Locanda di Lupo without Proscuitto to be vegetarian-friendly! It was very cheesy and creamy, and truffle-forward, as expected! I had their Spaghetti Al Limone, which was nice and buttery and still felt light and fresh with the basil and lemon. I've been to Broder's several times throughout the years, and I enjoy it every time! I would recommend stopping!

Creamy Arborio rice is finished with bright lemon, tender chicken, and a generous snowfall of freshly grated Parmesan that melts into every bite. It's rich without feeling heavy, and the citrus keeps the flavors balanced from start to finish. Bōrder's focuses on quality over flash, and it shows. The pasta is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. If you're looking for something beyond the usual Alfredo or marinara, the Lemon Risotto is absolutely worth ordering. It's the kind of dish you'll find yourself craving again.

The bread was crunchy and soft and delicious! Pasta was also great! Noodles tasted very fresh and the pasta was very flavorful! Each pasta comes with the complimentary bread and a side salad that I forgot to take a picture of. Our bill was about $50 which seems very reasonable for the amount of food we got and the quality! Will definitely come back here!

Also important to note, they close at 8 PM. It's decorated like a true family style place, cute flowers and colors and light fixtures. The service is friendly, but if you are in a hurry, they are not. They bring olive oil and herbs to the table with homemade bread to start which is an extra touch I think most restaurants have stopped doing. They did offer any pasta dish to be made with gluten-free penne. My pasta dish was tasty and warm but the meat was sparse, and though the prices seem fair, I would say all around this was an average experience. I can see how this could have sentimental value to people who live in the neighborhood, and I do like to support independent restaurants so I'm glad we tried it, but if you are a true foodie and if you are looking for great Italian, I don't think this is the spot.
