Today's wait was a little longer than expected for our food. Ruby was friendly and got our orders as soon as we were ready but it took a long time for our salad to come out when we wanted it first. This place is living proof that you don't have to be fancy to deliver a 5 star experience. Came at lunch on a Friday, was sat promptly, water, menu, & place setting shortly thereafter, and food was out within 10 mins of ordering - piping hot, fresh, and to order. I want to love this location because it's the most convenient one to get to for me. I've been here a few times for dining in but taking out during busy times is ROUGH. Taking out experience: I know Friday night is a staple for pizza takeout. I was really in no rush especially since the website said it was about a 45 min wait. I placed my order went about 1hr later to pick it up, when I checked in the cashier told me they were running 15-30 min behind. There seemed to be a bit of drama with someone moving orders ahead of others on top of the delays. They were busy for dine in and takeout so it was a bit of a mess. I ended up waiting maybe an extra 20 mins for my order. I just wish the online estimate was a bit better as there's not much waiting space and not idea to keep leaving and coming back to check. Dining in experience: For the most part dining in has been fine. It's usually almost always decently busy. Kind of loud always. The restaurant is clean. The food in general: I always do byo pizza - just plain cheese with jalapenos & banana peppers. The toppings are a bit pricey but the same price for any size pizza you order almost. I love the thin crust. We usually almost always get the deep dish cookie dessert as well - so good. Staff are usually nice and attentive. Pleasantly surprised on how good the food was here. The root beer was delicious! The sampler appetizer is a must. The blue cheese they brought was so good. The Hubby usually doesn't like it but this complimented the wings really well. The vegetarian pizza lacked flavor but the pepperoni pizza made up for it. Overall this pizza is a good choice. What an adorably retro place! It reminds me of some of the old pizza joints in Milwaukee I used to frequent! A friend recommended the pizza so on a long weekend in the Cities we decided to give it a try. We ordered the cheese bread with Broadway Sauce and the Classic Deluxe. I'm a big thin crust pizza fan and they seem to specialize in this. Ordered their special extra pepperoni with extra cheese large pizza. It was good. It was pretty much the same but a touch better than Dominos thin crust, which I also enjoy. I wouldn't pay $24 for it again though when basically the same thing at Dominos can be carried out to for like $12. Service was fast and friendly. Don't waste your time with the garlic cheese bread or mozzarella sticks they were garbage, straight from the freezer. Especially for $10. East Coast guy and I believe New Haven, CT has the best pies around. Broadway was recommended by the hotel I was staying at. I went with what I believe was called the perfect pizza. Decided to order this pizza while at a stay in Springhill Suites hotel close to the Mall of America. Looking at the photos of the pizza, I decided to call and order the pizza as it reminded me of Chicago style pizza place with thin crust. Made the order and the order taker Justin was so helpful answering questions, suggesting what size,and toppings, I knew this was a great decision. There's a cute little train that runs around a track about 2 ft from the ceiling and kids as well as adults love to watch it go around. We ordered Buffalo wings as an appetizer and enjoyed those. Additionally, we ordered the classic deluxe and unique white pizzas. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for our pizzas. After shoveling wet heavy snow for the second time in one week, I was in no mood to cook and had been craving some pepperoni pizza and Mt. Dew. We ordered online and it was ready for pickup in 25 minutes. I got the pepperoni packed pizza and it delivered as promised, there was plenty of it nestled among the thick layers of mozzarella. It was simply perfect, though I suspect my heart is none too happy with me! As good as it I truly is, this will be a once in a while occurence reserved only for days when the snow has the consistency of cement and I'm just sick of cooking because I made Thanksgiving meal two days before. I think I might ask Santa for a snowblower... Back to pizza: my honey got a BYO with chipotle BBQ sauce, chicken, extra mozz, green peppers, and pineapple. We arrived just a few minutes before they officially opened and the doors were unlocked to let us in from the -19F weather. The ovens were on and the place was warm and smelled of bread and sauce (yummm). We ordered the Pepperoni special and the Buffalo Chicken pizzas. The pepperoni was delicious with pepperoni under and on top of the cheese. The cheese had a wonderful bite and was toasted ti perfection. It was an hour and 15 minutes for the food but it was good. It's flat crust. Cut into squares (I like triangles.)
