Both of our boys LOVE the spaghetti and rigatoni pasta dishes. My husband and I have ordered the deep dish pizzas several times in the past. We ordered 2 deep dish pizzas online for pickup (sausage/pepperoni and double pepperoni). We also got a family size Italian chopped salad). Online ordering was easy, and available for pickup at the advertised time. The cheese pull on a slice of pizza is *impressive*, the sauce is tasty, and the pizza was pretty good. It's a dense slice, and 1 slice is enough for a meal for us, so order accordingly. We got small pizzas, giving thanks for that! The salad was mediocre and not worth it, unfortunately. The price seems high to me for both the small pizza and the salad. The pizza places I frequent have less expensive pizza and salad that are just as good. I came here on a date night looking for some Chicago inspired pizza! Let me tell you my experience! We walked in and were seated right away. We looked at the menu and asked our server a few questions regarding what types of crusts were offered as well as the size and toppings and how the pricing worked. We opted for a specialty pizza - a meat lovers with a normal crust. Pizza came out fairly quickly - about 20 minutes after ordering. We anticipated only having a piece or two but after biting into the cheesy and perfectly crisp crust - we had to have more. It's like a Pringle - you can't have just one! The meat was soft and. Or overcooked and the cheese was perfectly melted, didn't have the bubbled boiled spots on the top. We only took two pieces to go and we chatted with our server before we left. It really felt like a second home. Quick service, pizza was excellent, paying was easy, dining area is fairly large and the view is nice too! Went here to get the hubby's deep dish craving satisfied. There was no wait but you can make a reservation online. First, if you plan on getting a deep dish, it is typically at least 45 mins to get it going. So don't come expecting to get it within 15 minutes. Of course you can order appetizers and other stuff on the side. It was decently busy and not enough server. We got seated but took about another 5 minutes before our server could come to our table. We knew the deep dish would take a long time so we wanted to order that right away before looking at other items. Calamari - it was not crispy so a little disappointed. Came with the typical marinara sauce. 3/5 Salad- normal type of salad. Nothing special but is a good side for a pizza. Parmesan fries- crispy, hot and yummy. Recommend especially if you have kids with. Margherita- well cooked and good. It balanced our meat and more meat deep dish. Not over cooked Meat&more meat- with a meat lover hubby, of course ww have to order a meaty pizza. We got the 14" to share for 4 people amongst other food. After 1 piece I was deep dished out. The deep dish "The Special" (sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and extra garlic) is my go to; just know you'll need a fork, a knife, and maybe a nap afterwards. I stopped in for lunch and ordered a side salad and personal Deep Dish pizza. The salad was to tide me over for the time it takes the deep dish to bake. The Greek salad was excellent. When it comes to deep dish pizza I always think of Giordanos! I love their deep dish even though it takes 30-40 minutes to make. We decided to get the appetizer combo and the triangle deep fried mozzarella was amazing with the sauce! Plus those chicken nuggets was delicious too with the ranch! We got the Chicago Classic with mushroom, green peppers, and marinara sauce! It was very cheesy and the crust was one I'll definitely eat. Our server was quick and prompt! Do not I repeat do not order for delivery from Giordano's. Their couriers are 1 1/2 hours late after waiting to long. I had to call them and cancel the whole order and ask for a refund. I really wanted try their deep dish but their delivery system is not working. read more

I love this pizza place. It's open, there's always a place to sit, they have a small outdoor patio and the service has always been good. A true Chicago pizza place is about the crust and this crust is good. Order their deep dish right away as it will take 40 or so minutes to cook if your in a hurry. I order their cheese bread which is good but they tend to overcook it a little so ask for it not to bo overcooked. Their salads are good and hearty. So get one while your pizza cooks. Once your pizza arrives, you are transported to Chicago as they put that first slice in your plate with the cheese dripping off the pie giving you a true deep dish! Side note: I grade my bathrooms as a 5 Star Bougie (clean, pleasant, smells great, picked up, in order), 3 Star Basic (like home with the basics and equally as clean) or 1 star Bad (filthy, paper towels on the floor, sink is disgusting, smells like a toilet, etc) ... this gets a 1 star Bad! If I could leave a rating of -10, I would. Deeply disappointed with the crusts. The dough in the deep dish is dry, the thin crust was equivalent to Great Value Walmart Supreme Pizza. Tiramisu was dry, the cheese curds were hard even though they were hot. The only thing that was good was the meatball appetizers and the breadsticks. Definitely not worth the money. We were pleasantly surprised with the deep dish. Since we did order a deep dish, waiting for the pizza took 40 minutes. Thankfully we did grab an app, which held us over. I'm in like with this place, just not quite in love. The atmosphere is great. It's a cute spot with modern decor features. I really wanna come back and sit at a table in the room with the massive windows. They block out the windows in the summer which is completely understandable with the summer sun. The wait staff are always super attentive and kind so no complaints there. We typically get the deep dish pizza that they are known for and can take up to 45 min to get but when you are spending time with family it goes by in no time at all. I am just not obsessed with the taste and I want to be. It could be a personal problem but it just doesn't hit a home run with me. It almost tastes like a calzone or a thicker lasagna with crust. The tomato sauce is rich and tangy, and the cheese stretches it seems like a mile! You might have to do the hard thing and just cut the cheese with your spatula before placing on your plate! The pizza was salty for my taste and is much less tasty as it cools down toward room temperature. The service is friendly and professional. The spaces are clean and the location is just south of Minneapolis in Richfield. Ample Parking is available. Wow Wow Wow...let me tell you guys I give this pizza 5 stars. I have a few deep dish pizzas in my life outside of Chicago and this place is delicious. The pizza cooked perfect not over baked or under baked. Just perfect for the flaky crust to have a slight crunch at the bottom but soft inside that was cooked perfectly not that chewy texture you'd get from underbaking crust. The ingredients tasted fresh. The red sauce itself was delicious not overly seasoned or too much sugar just right to complement all the ingredients. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Ordered a full size Chicago deep dish style with all sorts of things and an order of fettuccine with Alfredo sauce... man for about $70 we fed 6 people with what I believe to be around 10lbs worth of pizza, leaving a slice left over in the morning! Consider how many people one pie can feed when factoring in cost cuz you can easily do this with 4-5 cheaper competitors. Less is more in this case and quality ingredients were put into it. The chicken parm sandwich was good, not great. The chicken wasn't dry l, but the whole thing was missing a real burst of flavor. The Beef Italiano was purely average. The bread (thick ciabatta) didn't quite fit the sandwich, and it dominated the sandwich which was otherwise kinda muted. Come for their deep dish, that's all. I am originally from Chicago. So eating at Giordano's is literally like a slice of home. My wife and I like going there eating a deep dish and enjoying some beer during their happy hour. We've always had great service and it's a nice atmosphere. The only thing I would change is they don't really have cannolis anymore.
