The initial welcome greeting was very warming, love that Southern experience...The menu was big enough to where I felt everyone would like or want to try something and that it was. The ambiance here is literally a flash from the past, literally a calendar in the wall that had January 1924. That should give you a good idea lol, felt like walking into the past of this decade. Our waitress actually mentioned she'd been working there since 14 which just shows how long this place has been in business. The locals must like it too, had a steady pace of customers in and out. They have this cool little takeout window as well. My picky Mom ordered the Talapia and Seafood dinner with a side salad. My neice got the chicken strips and onion rings with a few sides. I'm a catfish kinda dude so went with the Catfish dinner. I was curious about the Brunswick Stew Pint which is like a tomato based soup with pulled chicken and beef. Everything was cooked very well, nice and crispy. I also had the potato salad which was ok, no digs it was good I'm just use to a bit more flavor but overall really good. I would still recommend. I'm curious how the rest of the menu is, it's a BBQ spot so I would love to come back and try some BBQ chicken and Beef. They also had Turkey so throw some of that on the want list too lol. Our waitress who had been there a while was super cool. Although it seemed like she had drank 2 cups of coffee, she was on it. Kept drinks filled and attended to my picky family who unfortunately can't make up their minds but she was patient so thank her for that. Oh yeah! Go Pack Go!! I'm a Green Bay Packers fan so this local college team (I believe lol) gets all of my fandom and support. Go Pack Go!

The smoked chicken would also be in the running for my favorite as it is very juicy and soft to bite into. I have never had a bad meal here and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It is very easy to spot as usually there is a huge smoke stack coming out the back where the meats are being smoked. Usually a 5-10 minute wait. If you want good bbq and are in the area on a Friday or Saturday I would most defined stop here.

Anyway, we started off with the cheesy biscuits and the fried green tomatoes that were delicious (though a bit greasy). It also seemed that the cheese in the cheesy biscuits wasn't melted. We actually thought there were bits of carrots in the bread. Not sure what kind of cheese doesn't melt when baked. Anyway, our table entrees included fried shrimp, fried catfish, grilled snapper, and steak. We all really did enjoy the food, though we had to send back an order (steak arrived well done, but medium rare is what was ordered); we finally received the steak as requested, but after the rest of the table had already started eating (or our food would have gotten cold); never good when an order has to be sent back due to the server's error - this just throws the whole table off. Anyway, did receive the correct order a little over ten minutes later. The good food may draw me back to the restaurant when I am in town again, but I will be sure that we have a different server.
