I recently purchased two IKEA BRIMNES cabinets with glass doors (30 3/4" x 37 3/8") but only to…read morerealize they were too heavy (over 80 lbs each) to assemble on my own. I decided to hire a professional assembler again and opted to try a different company this time for comparison. [Quote and scheduling]: Assembly Masters do not list pricing information on their website. Customers must request a quote via the "GET A FREE QUOTE HERE" button on the website or by calling their contact number. I submitted my request online and received an initial quote of $119.00 (flat rate with no tax) for one cabinet. However, I clarified that my initial job request was assembling two IKEA BRIMNES cabinets and the representative apologized for the typo. Unlike few other assembly companies, Assembly Masters require (1) customers to provide their full address and phone number for order confirmation and (2) provide credit card information to secure the appointment. I later called their number where I spoke with Todd who was very friendly. He finalized my appointment and processed my credit payment payment over the phone. [Service terms and conditions]: Here are some key service terms and conditions to be aware of - * FREE street / validated or paid parking by customer; parking to be provided for Assembler * All boxes to be located in the desired area for assembly prior to arrival * Attaching Items to the wall is an optional service - added charge may apply * Moving items to another room after Assembly is not included * Empty boxes and debris are stacked neatly for disposal by customer * Assemblers do not haul trash/ boxes away after service is complete * Assemblers are NOT required to move existing furniture/ Items * Pictures/ Video of assembly are taken by Assembler for verification [Process]: The technician Alvaro arrived within 24 hours of my booking and within the 3-hour scheduled time window. He was friendly and well-prepared with his tools. Alvaro was able to complete the assembly of both IKEA BRIMNES cabinets in just over an hour. [Conclusion]: Assembly Masters provided a reasonable quote and completed the job efficiently. However, few areas could use improvement including (1) allowing customers to pay in cash or by credit card in person before the job begins rather than requiring payment over the phone, (2) listing clear service prices (or price range) on the website instead of requiring customers to request a quote, and (3) offering to haul away empty boxes instead of leaving them to the customer. Personally these are relatively minor issues, but another furniture assembly company I recently worked with managed to accomplish all three of these areas in addition to completing the assembly job. If these points are not dealbreakers, Assembly Masters is still a solid choice for anyone looking to save time assembling IKEA furniture.

Serge did an amazing job disassembling my old desk (a fairly standard writing desk) and assembling…read moremy new adjustable/standing desk. He really went above and beyond in every aspect, from responding promptly to methodically assessing the setup of my new desk. I initially reached out for an estimate through Yelp, and he responded super quickly with both a quote and his availability. He made time to come out on a Sunday morning, which I appreciated since a few other companies I was looking at only worked weekdays. While I had no worries about Serge's ability to disassemble my old desk, I was initially concerned about him maneuvering my new one, as it's very heavy - 180 pounds in total. I actually tweaked some of the muscles in my hand bringing the boxes in initially, and I didn't want anyone I hired to potentially injure themselves as well during the setup. Serge reassured me that he could handle it himself, which he did expertly. I was super impressed by this, as most folks who've set up this desk have required two people to flip it over and move it into place. I initially thought I'd try tackling this project myself or with a friend, and I'm honestly so glad I reached out to Serge instead. When we discovered that printed instructions hadn't been included in the box for my new desk, he had no problem reading through the online instructions on his phone. It's definitely easier to have full-size, printed instructions while assembling furniture, but Serge reassured me through the whole process that it wasn't something to worry about at all. Small details like this - his reassurance and adaptable mindset - are what made me really glad I went with his services over someone else's, or trying to do it myself. Serge was also fantastic at troubleshooting and figuring things out in real time when he ran into a slight roadblock midway through assembling the new desk. In putting the top onto the frame of the desk, he realized that the pre-installed inserts for the top were for bolts rather than screws, and it didn't seem like the proper bolts had been provided. I was initially worried that I'd perhaps have to run to the store to get some, or that I'd have an incomplete desk on my hands. After all, a handyman can only put something together to the extent that the has all the materials needed to assemble. I would've completely understood if he told me I needed to get the proper bolts and have him come back to finish the assembly. Instead, Serge reassured me by saying, "Don't worry - this is my problem, not yours." He took all the stress off of troubleshooting, and after a few minutes of research, he figured out the issue and had the desk successfully assembled! Serge finished the entire project in just under two hours. After seeing all the small things he worked through in real-time, I'm so glad I went with him to help with the job. In particular, his ability to take initiative throughout the job and his reassuring, calm, and friendly demeanor stood out to me. He charged a fair price for the project and made sure all the little details were right, like checking what side I wanted the sit-stand controller on and handling all the cable management on the underside of the desk. As it was raining when he arrived, he even went as far as to take his shoes off and leave them outside so he wouldn't bring water or dirt into my apartment. This thoughtfulness was such a respectful and considerate touch. Also, my dog absolutely adored him. She's a great judge of character, and she gives him ten stars. :) I'll absolutely be recommending Serge to anyone in the area who needs a handyman. Thank you, Serge, for your awesome work! Spasiba!

From start to finish the entire team was efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and so wonderful to work with. During the initial consultation, Marcelo provided me with a clear and detailed explanation of the installation process and assured me that the two installers he was sending would be experienced and accommodating...and he was right! On the day of the installation, Alberto & Kevin arrived on time and (to my surprise) completed the job that day. Alberto even made helpful suggestions for the placement of the bed and took the time to answer all of my questions. The quality of their workmanship was exceptional, with great attention to detail and a focus on ensuring that the bed was both secure and functional. On top of that they were so nice and extremely helpful. They even moved heavy furniture from one level of our house to another and cleaned everything up once they were finished. I even got a follow up call from Marcelo just to see how everything went. They were the best! Overall, I would highly recommend Mr. Assembly to anyone looking for a high-quality, professional and reliable installation company. You're in good hands with them!
