Cleanliness and friendly staff earned four stars, although the basketball buzzer is jarring and very loud. The bleacher seats are typical. It's a smaller rec center, but I think it's nice to have in the neighborhood.

Coaches are uncommunicative and do not give constructive criticism to help dancers grow. It's all very base level for skills and there is rampant favoritism. We stuck it out for 2 years but we have moved on and sooo thankful that we did. Dance is fun again!! Also children with medical conditions (letters from doctors submitted) are treated as if they don't have loyalty to the program if they have to miss for said medical conditions that were known to all from the beginning. This gym already produced a couple elite Olympians including Alexander (Sasha) Artemev (Bronze medalist champion from Beijing, 2008) and 2021Tokyo hopeful, Yul Moldauer!   My two boys have been members of this gym for a few years now- one is on the competitive team, the other enjoys the recreational practices! It is definitely a kid approved gym! Both boys love their coaches and enjoy their practices! It is really rewarding to watch them grow and constantly improve their gymnastics skills with a smile on their face.  The coaches are awesome! They are friendly, professional and they truly care for our athletes with all their hearts. It is noticeable they feel it is not only their profession, but it's their passion too! They know how much to push and challenge a kid to get them to the next level of skill. It is done with such finesse, that the children do not even notice. Basically, it feels like each athlete experiences an individually "tailored" program, based on their needs and progress. Coaches are not only training them gymnastics skills, but also incorporating values such as respect, integrity, humility, team work, and determination. They are always encouraging and inspiring. My sons are stronger, flexible, more focused and disciplined because of 5280 Gymnastics. This gym made us feel like we were at our second home from day one!    From a practical stand point, the gym offers an online access to stream our children's class during their practice from anywhere - that is an amazing feature! Also, there is Wifi at the facility, which is a great perk for working parents, if they have to sit and wait for the class to finish.  I've recommended this gym to my friends whose children have joined and they love it too! If anyone is looking for a healthy after-school activity for their kids, this is the place!  Finally, a noteworthy fact is 5280 Gymnastics trained many athletes (boys and girls) who were recruited and awarded college gymnastics full ride scholarships. With the new times now of COVID-19, 5280 Gymnastics is very "sterile"and compliant with all the health departments recommendations. All precautionary measures are implemented and not limited to checking temperatures daily, provide constantly hand sanitizers, daily cleanings and disinfection!

You have to pay additional to get one on one Pilates training or group Pilates classes. There's no incentive to have a membership and pay for Pilates. $80+ a month membership plus anywhere from $75-$90 per session to train with a Pilates instructor one on one. Talked to the manager about it and they're just focused on personal training. Found another option to work 1:1 with a Pilates instructor so cancelling gym membership all together. The population of the gym is older and these members could benefit from easier access to Pilates training. It is such a beneficial exercise routine for functional fitness. Other thing: Women's hot tub is often inoperable.

I like this rec center a lot. I have only used the swimming facilities, so I can't speak to much…read moreelse. But if you'd like to know about the pool, read on. I often come here to swim because it's not too far from my house and the hours work better for my schedule. Mondays and Wednesdays there is lap swimming from 6:05 - 7:15 pm, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays it is from 6 - 8:30 pm. Perfect for after work! They are also open on the weekend with a decent amount of hours which is nice. There are kickboards, flippers, and buoys for anyone to use. The swimmers here are pretty nice too, I've never had an issue with anyone. The staff is very warm and inviting. I've seen new faces almost every time I visit this rec center and they are always very friendly! I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good place to work out! Plus, it's right in the middle of Wash Park which is a great spot to visit either before or after your workout :)

The facility is strict about enforcing mask-wearing and hand sanitizing which is comforting throughout these uncertain times. COVID-aside, I've had a great experience with the entire staff and the quality of the courts etc. are top notch. I've only taken classes with one instructor, Cannon and he is AMAZING. I'm just getting back into tennis after a ~15 year break from when I played in High School and I've had major issues with my backhand, it was completely broken. After a few private lessons and group drills with Cannon, I'm really starting to make progress. All of the other players I've met at DTP are wonderful as well. Very happy to be a part of the DTP community.

Ben is such a fabulous coach and the class was really challenging and informative and fun. I'm so happy to have found this place and I love all the staff. Everyone was so sweet and welcoming and the classmates were wonderful too. I freaking love this place and I'm so excited to come again and try some different classes. Ben is one of the best coaches I've ever had and it was my first class ever and I learned a lot. Awesome place!

I gotta say, good customer service and genuine friendliness at someone's place of work is not easy to find these days. There's a lot of bitter folks out there that should not be engaging members/customers as they give the business a bad name. Not this place, they were so friendly and while there are parts of the club that look a bit older this place is exactly what I would expect from a tennis club. It has a great tennis pro shop with a good amount of merchandise, the gym is a little above average and decently well equipped, especially for a tennis club. Many of the places I've belonged to that were more tennis oriented didn't have great gym facilities so it's nice that they have a good amount of equipment. Even being a member of 2 different country clubs, both very nice, neither of them had great gym facilities. The paddle ball courts are very nice and they have a few outdoor tennis courts that are well maintained along with 7, I believe, indoor courts with good lighting (important!). The men's locker room could definitely use some love as it's very old and outdated but it does have a hot tub in it that's decent sized and lockers and honestly it's about the same as any other tennis club I've been in. Can't wait to start plugging into the community of members and play some folks with equal skill level. I'm huge on how I am treated the moment I walk in the door (so incredibly important for businesses to give a good first impression), and so many places fail this test by either acting like you're bothering them by asking them to do their job or at least be somewhat kind and respectful to someone paying money to be a member at the place they work at, which is crazy to me I have to say this. I don't care how nice a place is if their staff is rude or they treat people differently based on how they look (in my case a lot of tattoos, which isn't a usual thing to see at country clubs and tennis clubs) then I'll not be joining. Point being, I was immediately won over by the lady at the desk who treated me as I would imagine she treats everyone that walks through those doors, with kindness and respect. It's weird that I even have to say this, but so many places just don't do well on this anymore. Overall, 5 stars for the staff doing a great job answering my questions and spending time to give me the low down on the club and definitely what I would expect, equipment and amenities wise, from a tennis club! Look forward to getting to know the folks here.
